Christianity EtcRe: Do Demonic Cobwebs Exist? by RosaConsidine: 12:02am On Sep 08, 2016
Here's my problem with this: if we believe cobwebs, a natural occurence can be evil and demonic, then that opens the doors to every other thing in the world that occurs naturally also being demonic. A leaf falls from a tree as you're passing - demonic. Wind blows and shuts your door - demonic. Dust settles in your house because you haven't done any dusting for a while and the demons are clearly at play. Where does it end? At this rate we would constantly, endlessly be praying and shouting blood of Jesus over one thing or the other just because we can't explain it. Some people think it's spiritual laziness not to attribute the apparently inexplicable to spiritual forces. Other people think it's intellectual laziness not to inquire into the possible natural causes of all occurences. This latter group are more likely to live lives with less fear in their hearts and heads.

Ballooning, sometimes called kiting, is a means by which spiders, and some other small invertebrates, can move through the air by releasing one or more gossamer threads to catch the wind. By this means they are wafted aloft and are at the mercy of the air currents. This procedure is mostly used by spiderlings to disperse, but larger individuals have been observed using it. The spider climbs to a high point, stands on its toes and points its abdomen to the sky, releasing fine silk threads from its spinnerettes until lift off occurs. Journeys achieved vary from a few metres to hundreds of kilometres. Even atmospheric data have collected samples of balloons at five kilometres above the earth and ships in mid-ocean have reported spider landings. Mortality is high.

Money, academic prowess and a stable lifestyle are vices? You would rather be poor, illiterate and unstable, right? Did you just type blindly or did you read through what you typed?

There is a difference. Nigerian atheists are usually very Rude, Proud and Condescending to people of Faith but that cannot be said of Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg.
That's a blanket statement and as such, it is wrong. Sure, there are proud, condescending Nigerian atheists as there are proud, condescending American atheists. Also, there are proud, condescending Nigerian Christians/Muslims. Atheists and people that adhere to non-Abrahamic faiths in Nigeria are generally viewed as weird at the best of times and as satan worshipper/occultists at the worst. It's a general Nigerian mentality that has nothing to do with the disposition or demeanor of the person. Nigerians generally have treat what they don't know or understand with fear and/or revulsion.

This is not even pay me and only me sef. I was earning 25k at the job I worked after leaving school and trust me, I don't think my salary ever took me past the third week. Continue arguing, and continue to prove to intelligent people that you are only here to enforce the blindness that has been put upon them, that you are here as an agent of the devil sent to come and block the path of light and enlightenment. I will continue to indulge you so to make sure that intelligent people can connect the dots. This is very important for the ones that have been elected grin

The lucifers of our world are the targets of my thread and not the sheeple, get this perspective very clear, you are not congenitally dumb, are you?

The lucifers of this world are the protagonists of climate change, they are also the chief spreaders of all the beastly knowledge in the world so when beasts talk we know what they mean.

Buhari pledged allegiance to satan grin, and you are here to prove that he did not cheesy
But the son of perdition already affirmed him, didn't he? You forget that meeting when he said 'he is doing a good job'? grin
Are you for real or are you just trolling? And what's supposed to be my business with proving if Buhari pledged allegiance to anybody or not? Sane people are walking on the sidewalk and this one has entered express. Just make one thing clear (not that I expect you to. You're apparently notorious for going off on wild tangents); do you think the actions of human beings have effects on the environment or not?

This thread is not about oil spillage or overuse of fertilizer, this thread is about the leaders of our world who have rebelled against God. Get the perspective very right. Besides, who are the people responsible for 100% of the destruction of the earth's ecosystem? The peasant fisherman or global corporations who are part of satan's system of evil?

The great protagonists of 'global climate change' are also the greatest protagonists of gay rights, abortion rights, homosexuality, democracy, LGBT etc, this thread is for anyone who is genuinely interested in using his brain to connect the dots in the world, this thread will make no sense to deliberate idiots.

I am making my people to see through the veneer of deceit that people like you would love to see cover them forever.

Dry bones shall rise again, and animals like you will be punished, it is now only a matter of days grin
100%? Where in carnation did you get your statistics from? If you're using a car that emits harmful smoke to the environment, you're hurting the environment. If you're using anything that use CFCs as propellant, you're hurting the environment. In-fact, almost all of us hurt the environment one way or another. One of the points to the global warming crusade is to bring people to recognize how much their individual, seemingly insignificant actions affect the environment. But no, to people like you only big corporations do anything that's dangerous to the environment. As if it's not human beings that own and run those corps.

And when did the global warming campaign cross lines with LGBTQ rights? Or are you high on something we're not familiar with?

Ok so you dont worry about what happens in the world? Now dont tell me you are no more a baby. The issue here is that you are still in this world that you are born into.
Yh, but the fact is that for one, we've got enough to worry about in the here and now. On the second hand, we aren't completely certain about what the hereafter has in store for us. So why do we worry about it so much? At least we are sure of life's current certainties and range of possibilities so there's reason to worry.

The op is definitely one of the stark illiterates that roam nairaland, this is what religion causes, saying that climate change is part of Gods plan and so we should not fight it, if everything on earth was part of Gods plan then why is the op complaining about homosexuality and abortion, since that should is also part of God's plan, we shouldn't even go to hospitals when we're sick since that's also part of God's plan, when your house is burning don't run outside, the fire is also part of Gods plan, same thing with floods and every other natural disaster we should all do nothing because it is Gods plan.
Are you minding that one?

This thread is for the most mentally astute people, it is not for idiots.

On this thread, I am showing the world the hidden meaning of 'global climate change', it has no bearing with peasant farmers or fertilizer application or such other inanities. God is in charge of the world, He owns the world, He runs the world, He is in charge of it, nothing happens in the world without God's knowledge, the whole earth and all things including your arrogant stupid self is owned by Him.

This thread is exposing the shenanigans of satan and his agents, God is set to intervene shortly, and you and other agents of satan will be severely punished.

The insidious hidden meaning of 'global climate change' is God is dead!

President Buhari in his first speech to the UN General Assembly, as president of Nigeria, in September 2015, openly pledged allegiance to satan.

Buhari openly declared that GOD IS DEAD!
Hehe, i would have thought the thread was for complete dolts. At least it was created by one. So in essence, regardless of how we hurt our planet, nothing will happen, abi? Why not go and become a farmer or fisherman in places where there have been oil spills? Why are those affected people complaining about how human actions are affecting natural ecosystems? Sometimes people just start threads on this site like they're not thinking about what they're typing, and this thread is one of them.

Christianity EtcIs The Afterlife Just A Comfort Idea? by RosaConsidine(op): 3:44pm On Sep 02, 2016
The question of the afterlife is one that one can simply not avoid. It’s there in pretty much every religion. Even the irreligious and non-religious sometimes find themselves asking “is this all there is or is there something more?”. Well, one thing is for sure; more people seem to like the concept of an afterlife than not.

And why not? Most religions promise an afterlife free of pain, suffering, discomfort, unhappiness and all the other things that make life uncomfortable. To the poor, the promise of a time when there would be no lack for ever and ever is simply too alluring. For the sick, an eternity without illness or afflictions is irresistible. For the bereaved, the possibility of being reunited with their lost loved ones, never to lose them again is simply impassable. For the unhappy, a life free of pain without end just has to come after all the pain and suffering they have endured. It’s probably why almost all religions – even the remote ones – have a promise of a life after we pass on.

But the above premise gives the impression that it’s only those who are unhappy with their lot in life that look forward to the life beyond this one. That’s far from the truth. Even the rich, the successful and those who lead generally happy lives do want it to continue. Look at the pharaohs of Egypt. They were kings and must have lived relatively comfortable lives (at least for their time). But they prepared for the afterlife probably even more than they allowed themselves enjoy their actual lives. Who wouldn’t want their enjoyment and happiness and success to continue for eternity? It’s very few people who are truly content with living just one life, regardless of how it pans out – and trust me, that level of contentment is pretty difficult to attain, especially if you’ve been exposed to life’s extremes.

But the afterlife is a broad term. It’s not like the afterlife is one destination of happiness and enjoyment regardless of how you live your life. Almost all religions’ concepts of the hereafter have one happy and comfortable afterlife and one of suffering. Whether it’s heaven and hell for the Abrahamic faiths or a reincarnation as a higher or lesser creature for some other religions, each person’s afterlife is usually predicated on how they have lived their current lives. So if a comfortable and happy afterlife is not an absolute certainty and there is the possibility of a negative afterlife, why does the notion of a hereafter still persist?

Well, the negative afterlife has it’s uses. For one, it serves as a sort of warning to get people to live their current lives in a good (usually socially acceptable) way. That’s not it’s only purpose though. The negative afterlife is also, like the positive one, a comfort mechanism. People who feel they have been cheated or robbed or wronged or done injustice to one way or the other usually get some form of reassurance or hope that even if their oppressors don’t get their just reward in this world, they’ll get it in the next. Of course it can be counterproductive when they consider they could very well also end up in the negative side of the afterlife but as at the point of consideration, that wouldn’t matter to them. All that would matter to them is that eventually, they would get justice.

So is that all the afterlife is? A form of comfort for the human soul? I honestly don’t know. I guess we’ll find out on the other side.

Christianity EtcRe: The Hidden And True Meaning Of GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE. by RosaConsidine: 2:29am On Sep 02, 2016
So, OP, in essence we should continue to enage in acts that harm the environment, like using CFCs and burning fossil fuels, ehn? Your argument is like saying farmers shouldn't use fertilizers on infertile soil because if they do, they are insinuating that God cannot make the soil fertile and that God is dead.

Look, whatever side of the religious (or non-religious) devide you may currently be committed to, one thing is certain: to us living humans, this world is ours to take care of and nurture, instead of hurt and destroy. At least if the climate change gospel has not done much, it has enlightened lots of people to how their actions, regardless of how minute they might think they are, can affect their immediate and even extended environment. If you refuse to learn this lesson then I just don't know what we should do with you.

zombies, but even that wasn’t enough proof to even convince those who it is said actually saw it all. Funny also how the pastors never preach a sermon about the graves opening. Just too unbelievable for even the naive?
Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

I feel like its a total yoruba something. They weren't thinking 'Nigeria' at all. The party might be an affiliate of Odudwa Yoruba Stuff sef grin.

Then they tried to save the name when they noticed people were into " One Nigeria". They started making up meaningless words from Igbo and Hausa language that has nothing to do with Nigeria or Their Movement. Even forgetting there are other regions aside those three.
