ifenes: No my children will not suffer the same child abuse as you did. They will be taught how to think and not what to think. That ending would have been perfect. Including that last part just made it sound like indoctrination as well. I mean, your kids may well choose to be Christians or Muslims or Budhists even after teaching them to think. What matters is that you teach them to be rational and not tell them what to and not to think. |

What the......
It's like all the roads in Ekiti are now good, all the public hospitals are world class, public education is of international standard and each building gets clean, treated water running from it's taps.
Else tell me why someone feels this is the best time to squander money on pointless projects. Even if the current state house and high court are mud huts, so long as the people still have outstanding needs that have not been met, not even by any margin, then this completely unnecessary!
Ekiti people, either look for your placards are keep driving on roads that makes it look like you're playing temple run. |

But they should also figure out a way to create checks and balances for the local government officials, lest they too turn themselves into tin gods. Right now our local governments are lazy. We don't want them being lazy AND corrupt. |

DoctorAlien: I would say that there are some things happening today that were not in GOD's original plan.
GOD created Adam a vegetarian, but today we eat meat. Eating clean meat is not a sin. However, meat-eating began only after the Flood, and it was not GOD's original plan. I'm not liking where this is going. Imagine a household where things are not going according to the plan of the head of the family. Wouldn't you think whatever happens is either part of the head of the family's plans or the person has no power to stop it? And we're talking about human families where some things would definitely be beyond the head of the family's powers to control. How much more God who has absolute power and knowledge and fore-knowledge. I feel if anything's happening, then it's part of God's plan because the only alternative is that he's powerless to stop it. "Allowing" is permission that is not expressly expressed. |

arabbunkum: Go to court and prove that the money is from illegal deals before asking her to forfeit it or even ask the court to jail her. That's called 'due process'. If someone breaks the law, why not deal with the person according to the law? Errrr, the companies in whose accounts the monies are lodged have plead guilty to money laundering charges. Christianity Etc › Re: The War Against Christianity....by Christians by RosaConsidine: 2:17am On Sep 13, 2016 |
DoctorAlien: You're getting yourself confused: are we talking about a man whose wife is dead, or a woman whose husband is dead? I said explicitly that although GOD allowed men to marry many wives, He was never in support of it. It wasn't His original plan for man. And check the whole Bible; nothing good -- absolutely nothing good is ever spoken about polygamy.
In Exod. 21:10, GOD was simply giving guideline on how a man is to treat his first wife if he marries another to avoid mistreating the first wife. Read carefully.
This in itself is another problem of polygamy; assuming a man had only one wife, will there be another woman to mistreat? or to love less? So in essence, there are things God is not in support of but aren't technically sins? |

Politics › Re: Edo KOWA Candidate, Osadolor Withdraws, Blames INEC by RosaConsidine: 9:04pm On Sep 10, 2016 |
This is the most stupid and useless reason for withdrawing from an election. Wait, so what if INEC postponed the elections? So that meant that KOWA's potential voters would automatically change their minds and vote another party? If they were destabilized by the sudden postponement, isn't it logical that other parties would also equally be destabilized? Nigerian politicians lie to us like we are 5 year old children. We can obviously see what happened here - he was as asked to withdraw in favor of the Ize-Iyamu, the PDP candidate. Not that he even had the remotest chance of winning if the elections had actually held. And to think we thought KOWA were the potential alternative to PDP and APC! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Do Demonic Cobwebs Exist? by RosaConsidine: 12:06am On Sep 08, 2016 |
Icon79: I really don't know who is the ignorant one here. Listen, let me break it down for you:
No one is saying that all and every cobweb anywhere in the world is demonic. Far from it! The point the OP was trying to make, which I agreed with, is that some of them might be demonic inspired. Again, that doesn't make every single cobweb to be demonic. In fact, most cobwebs are naturally produced by spiders and has absolutely nothing to do with Satan. However, it is possible for cobwebs to be used as a tool used by Satan to entangle people.
Got it So how do you differentiate between the spiritual cobweb and the natural one, since they apparently manifest in exactly the same way? |
