video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ySXE17ub0po DELTA State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has pulled out from the race for Delta South Senatorial seat citing the need for a peaceful electoral process and transition. Addressing a press conference in Asaba to announce his withdrawal, Governor Uduaghan observed that his withdrawal from the Senatorial was in the general interest of the state and democracy at large. According to him, "the first agenda of my administration is peace and security and I will not do anything that will threaten the peace, I am determined to bequeath a peaceful state, the worst thing that can happen is to be part of the security challenges. I have offered to step down from the Senatorial race to ensure that the tension is reduced and in the overall interest of peace and security in the state." "I bought my forms, I have been screened and cleared for the Senatorial seat and as the person in charge at the state level, I have always appealed that elections must not be a do or die affair, unfortunately, there have been a lot of political and ethnic tension that is threatening the peace and security of the state, which has been noticed even at the national level," the Governor said. He emphasized, "anybody who believes he must get to a position with the loss of life is inhuman, I will not want to have anything that will lead to the loss of life, now that I am out of the race, it gives me more leverage to manage the transition and more time to be involved in national issues." While commending his teaming supporters for their unflinching loyalty and support, Dr Uduaghan stated that the interest of the state supersedes personal interest. Fielding questions from journalists, Governor Uduaghan disclosed that he was not forced to withdraw from the senatorial race, reiterating, "nobody has forced me to step down, I owe it to Deltans for the peace and security of the state." Ok! This was during the last Delta Yadah, an all worship and praise session put together by the Delta State Government as a way of celebrating the creation of the state. "Delta Yadah" has now become an annual programme in Delta State and the year 2014 edition was actually the 5th edition. Delta State was created on the 27th August 1991 and to mark the 23rd anniversary, the all night worship and praise was staged and it featured top Artists like Ron Kenoly, Lionel Petersen, Chioma Jesus, Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, and a lot of them. So, I saw this video of Gov. Uduaghan and one of the top artists, Lionel Petersen performing on stage during the programme on the governor's youtube page. nhmmm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7643XvexaA |
topsy23: Coleman, Nigerchin, Kabelmetal, Miccom cables are good cables. If you insist that your electrician should use nigerchin cable, I don't think he should go against your wish because that's what you want. Buy the cables and drop it on site for him or tell your supplier to supply all the require cables.Thank you boss. Advice well appreciated. |
Please friends and gurus in the house, What is there any reason my Electrical Engineer would prefer or rather insists on using Coleman Cables over Nigerchin since both are Nigerian made products and same market price too? NB: His house is a stone throw from mine and he's saying he wants to do something he'll be able to sleep in his house with his eyes closed, i.e. not afraid if something will backfire or go wrong later.... |
Oga Muyesky, thank you for the advice, as I told you ealier, I was looking for Nigerian Wires and Cables (NWC) product in the market but we couldn't find, though my Engineer insisted we should by Coleman, also made in Nigeria as I was told, + I used to see there office along Lagos/Ibadan express way. Though we saw Nigerchin, the guy said he didn't want that even though its thesame price with the Coleman. After we stood up to make a leave, an advanced man (also there to buy stuffs) and seems to have knowledge about electrical works called me and adviced I should go for that my guy advised. He also asked the guy series of questions about what wire guage he intend using for different sections of the house, and after hearing the guy's response, he even cpmmended the guy and assured me the guy is doing an exellent work. All the Engineers or generalky put, Electricians, that entered the shop, the guy would call and asked them if I can get NWC and the response is always, "where e dey?" And they all advice we go for Coleman which is also a pure copper (Not galvanised). I'll see if I can get a magnet to site tomorrow to test if it will stick, lol. That's what I just leard today. If its magnetic, its a fake.... |

URGENT PRESS STATEMENT: RE: HEAVY SHOOTING IN WARRI The attention of the Delta State Government has been drawn to media reports especially the on-line media of heavy shooting in Warri. The State wishes to state categorically that there has been no shooting of any form in Warri or environ. In line with the agreement with NNPC for provision of security by the State Government for the $16 Billion Gas City Project in Ogidigben, the State Security Council at its last meeting in Warri on 30th December 2013, directed the security agencies to deploy some forces to the area to ensure the safety of lives and properties as the construction of the project will start in the next few days. Some of the forces were deployed today, 4th January, 2014. None of the forces has had cause to shoot any gun and nobody has been injured or dead. The State Government is aware that some enemies of progress are out to thwart this laudable project of President Goodluck Jonathan which will form the economic bedrock for Nigeria. Warri has been very safe and it is on record that there were no insecurity incidences in Warri and other parts of Delta State throughout the Christmas or New Year period. The Government shall not be intimated by anyone and all those spreading such seditious falsehood should desist from it. All law abiding citizens are advised to go about their normal activities and we shall ensure safety of their lives and properties. Signed: Comrade Ovuozorie Macaulay, Secretary to the State Government. SOURCE: http://deltastate.com.ng/201401052203/Delta-In-The-News/urgent-press-statement-re-heavy-shooting-in-warri.html |
Muyesky: 12-1 is the normal standard but if he insists on using 9-1 and you can spare the extra money and with close supervision, then by all means.............go aheadThank you sir, I think all the 3responses so far are pointing towards thesame direction, so I'll ask him to go ahead and use 9-1. Am very grateful @All, for prompt response. They surely helps |
mufutau55: I know nothing about building... but logically, he may be right since outside of house take more weather beating than inside,Thank you very much for the explanations, gabbytabby: Mine actually uses 12 headpan for 1 bag inside and 7 headpan to 1 bag outside.Thank you too sir, sure am learning seriously here. kcstyle40: pls can someone enlighten me on this courseIf am not mistaken, they are not close to been thesame. |
balikis: Hi, pls i would like to know if the admission form for undergraduate program is still on sale and if it is, when is the new session likely to commence. I am aspiring for ibadan centre. ThanksIf you had taken the pain to read just few pages back, you probably would not be asking any these questions. Ok, let me answer this way.... When you are ready, NOUN is ready. Run to the bank to get your PIN now so that you won't have to run by January/February when lots of people will be processing their admissions, returning students will be busy with their course registrations and everybody would be busy running up and down. or if you prefer, You can delay till then, and follow the crowd. |
Muyesky: Thank you so much sir.Nice one bro, trust me, you are always onpoint. And thank you for your understanding and the mature way you always respond to observation/comment/question. Pls, here is a quick one, my bricklayer used 12headpan to 1bag of cement when plastering inside of the house, now, he's saying he'll be using 9headpan to 1bag to plaster outside. Is that ok, or I should insist he continue with 12 to 1 ![]() |
