Considering that the number of guys placing orders for flower bouquets for their girlfriends with my shop has been on the steady increase, who says Naija girls don't appreciate flowers?

If you have a child like my nephew, you'll realise that it's a bloody brilliant idea!

All I can say is every family is unique and individuals within each family react differently. My advice will be keep your mind and heart clean and honest towards everyone. Your guy and yourself should sit down and set some ground rules before you get married so no one gets surprised or shocked by anything afterwards.
Congratulations I believe are in order anyways. Maybe I can help with your flower decorations and your bridal bouquet! grin grin grin

Kosigift:
I doubt if it depends on "d level of class" like u said... I think it's more of prefrence/choice! Everybodys choice can't be d same, no matter the class.

True but I mean

Class to be able to see beyond a gift to the thought behind that gift and appreciating that.
Class to be able to appreciate the beauty and meaning of a thing that will pass in no more than 1 week.
Class to appreciate beauty for beauty's sake and not what physical gratification it can give.
That class.

Not the class of financial ability or geographical location

(This is an opinion and not a way to insult please. Nairalanders seem to prefer insulting opinions they do not agree with.)

1000 years ago, wearing shoes wasn't African either. It's an update. Life updates as different people meet and mix ideas and attitudes.

sanb: H15 gurl; couldn't have put it any better...

@Op whilst you're at it, a bunch of red roses would do just fine for me.... cool

I'll be glad to send you a bunch if you are in Lagos
Romance / Re: Give A Nigerian Girl A Flower And She"ll Ask You "Na Flower I Go Chop? " by rosety: 5:59am On Jun 08, 2013
It depends on the type of girl and the level of class she possesses. Trust me, I know.

lorretta u: aww.so sweet.my man stays in seattle.can u get him to send on for me thru u?I'm in rivers state.
PS.I wonder why our nigerian men think we don't appreciate flowers.
Me for one I do

It's always comforting to read post from people like you. We deliver to florists and events decorators nationwide, so we can get it to you. Do you need me to "market" my services to your guy? Maybe you could try subtle hints too. If that don't work, DEMAND!!!!!! grin grin

ozor1: re u a learner? is it in nigeria where girls take flowers for grass?

For those who don't know, there are ladies of class and orientation that know and appreciate the value and thought attached to the presentation of gifts like flowers, art, poetry and the likes. If you don't know that, do not assume they don't exist. After all, I'm not out of a job yet.

Have you thought of a lovely rose bouquet? I deliver those all the time to "rich" and classy chicks and I see the effects. One guy from Texas had me deliver to his babe in Abuja. If you see the excitement on this lady's face, dude! I was so pleased I almost gave the guy his cash back!

Romance / Re: Why Ladies Accept Flowers Even Not From Their Love Ones? by rosety: 8:03am On Apr 26, 2013
Giving flowers shows care and thoughtfulness with no demands added. I've been delivering flowers since the early '90s and only a rude prude will reject a gift that simply says "How are you, I'm thinking of you, hope you are doing good". Who can refuse that?

Can you? where do you work please?

Yes I can. Contrary to some opinions, beauty is beauty and if my 82 year old godmother positively goes gaga over a beautiful flower bouquet, I don't need anyone telling me It's not an African thing!

I'm at Surulere Lagos. You can call 08180400719 or email rosetygardens@yahoo.com

Happy mother's day.

LewsTherin:

Hmm. I like that idea. How much can I get a flower arangementl like that? With red roses, and about twice that size?

That floral arrangement (we call it "one in a million"wink goes for N6,000 (in Lagos, without delivery).
For double the size, we can do it anything from N13,000 and so on and much more. The larger vases cost much more.
Romance / Re: Best Xmas Present You Can Give Your Girl Friend by rosety: 8:14pm On Dec 24, 2012
We did this for a client yesterday with a gift hamper and a basket if cookies and cakes. The guy's babe loved it like crazy.

Common, it can't be that bad. Laddies, is this true?
Romance / Christmas Gifts by rosety: 1:35pm On Dec 18, 2012
Ladies, if your guy gives you flowers like these for Christmas, what will be your reaction?

Guys, can you buy flowers for your lady? Will she appreciate it? Especially considering a full bouquet of roses can go for N20k.
