In America, 50,000 people are shot dead annually by other Americans. That is more than Boko Haram and herdsmen casualties combined in the last 10 years. In America, there are no-go areas for blacks and Hispanics in many rural regions, due to racist attacks. In America, thousands of people are dying from opiod addiction per week. In America, unarmed people are shot dead by the police, who are allowed to walk free even with camera evidence showing their crime. In America, gang warfare and drive-by shootings are common place. In America, school children are shot in their classrooms by gunmen carrying automatic weapons. But despite all these problems, Americans love their country. Nigerians believe their country is not supposed to have any problems. It must be a paradise on earth, otherwise it has 'failed'. I think the problem is with Nigerians. They reason like fools. The country is a developing country. They can't accept that. They think it should be able to jump from a feudal, agricultural backwater to an advanced industrial economy in a matter of weeks, not even decades or centuries, as happens elsewhere. Deluded people. No wonder they are always so disgruntled. Advise to Nigerians: Learn to enjoy and appreciate what you have. Less than 20% of countries on earth are developed countries. Your situation is not unique. Accept that Nigeria is most unlikely to be an advanced nation in your lifetime. Your role is simply to contribute to make it better for the next generation, and leave the rest to God. Alternatively, you can continue being angry, disgruntled, hateful of your countrymen, hateful of your government, country, etc, until you depart this world. Sure would be a wasted life. |
3DCYCLOPS:Leave African leaders. CAN YOU ever be that "humble" as to attend a match as an ordinary citizen, if you were a President? Mr African leaders. Of course you will never do that yourself, as you will be scared for your security, and treasure your comforts. But you expect Others to be that way. Selfish little fool. |
Sinistami:This thread is not for closed-minded, ignorant little kids. If you want to join this discussion, provide something of value, ie solid evidence to back your position. You clearly have not researched the topic, and are only basing your views on what you were taught from childhood. This thread goes way beyond the propagation of hand-me-down theories and indoctrination perpetuated by 'authorities'. Here, you think, research, and reason for yourself. Now, what evidence do you have of a spherical earth? If you cannot provide any, there's the door. |
One interesting bit of evidence of a flat earth is that aeroplanes FLY STRAIGHT, no matter how far their destination. If the earth was a globe, they would have to constantly dip their noses downward during flight, to allow for the earth's curvature, and avoid veering off into 'outer space'. But this never happens! They always fly straight! Railway tracks are always built and laid straight, as though the earth were flat. If the earth was a globe, tracks would be built, and laid to align with the earth's curvature. Again, never happens. Because the earth is.....flat. Our ancestors were right. |
Olu317:"Suspended on nothing" could mean it's just floating inside a huge ocean. IFA creation accounts never mentioned the Earth was a globe either. I think the people back then would have found it odd to have to mention that the earth was flat, since that was what everyone believed. Trust me, your ancestors did not think the earth was a globe. |
Lordlestat:Little kid, return to the little hole you sneaked out of. This has nothing to do with an ignorant dunce like you. Imbecilic, simple minded illiterate. "Better than", "Worse than". That is the limit of your unsophisticated motor park tout mind. |
peterphd:Yours screws stray dogs and pigs. That explains your pointy little ears, hanging tongue, and stinking persona. Woof Woof. Mongrel. |
If I decide to worship a tree today, why would God be upset? He created the tree. If I decide to worship a wood carving, why would He be upset? He created that wood. He created All That Is, both seen and unseen. If I was a creator of various life forms and objects, I wouldn't be hurt if they worshipped one other. Drew emotional and spiritual support from one another. I'd be flattered in fact. It would signify to me that my Creation was...melding. Blending. Acknowledging and appreciating one another. I most certainly wouldn't feel 'jealous' of my own creation. My own handiwork. I wouldn't even expect them to worship me, since they cannot see or perceive me with their human faculties. Their worshipping of 'idols' would seem a perfectly logical activity to me. At most I'd find it amusing. Certainly not a 'sin' for which I'll throw them into a fiery hell that "burneth forever and ever". All a bit strange, really, those Bible claims. |
Pre-colonial African civilizations believed the earth was flat. That an iron dome covered it, and that outside the dome was water. Essentially, the earth was a domed habitat sitting in a giant sea. Incredibly, the modern-day Flat Earth Society envisions the earth in the exact same way. And they have copious amounts of evidence supporting their position. Bear in mind that there has never been a single genuine picture of the earth showed to us by NASA or any other space agency. All pics we have seen have been composite/computer generated images. Were our ancestors right? Intriguingly, the Genesis account of the earth's creation seems to be describing a sea-surrounded Flat Earth as well. It talks about "separating the waters from the waters", and refers to a "firmament" or dome, covering the earth. |
peterphd:It takes the son of a dog dick sucking whor.e to know a bastard, doesn't it? |
The USA has recorded more killings than that under Trump. In the US, around 50,000 are killed every year by gun violence. The US needs to face its own problems before sticking its nose in other countries. |
Will they include that open gutter in their "rehabilitation"? Will they cover it and build a sidewalk there as happens in normal countries with sensible people? |
Please God, let them choose him. Ighalo can carry his bags. |
krattoss:Inferiority complex. Nobody is better than you. We have the capacity to build a stadium without calling white people. |
Honesty007:Unnecessary. |
peterphd:Who cares what a nameless maggot like you thinks? |
peterphd:What rubbish are you talking about? You are the one underestimating their technical ability simply because they are "Nigerian". Get rid of your prejudices. |
KevMitnick:That is the wrong mentality if you want to excel. Brazilian, Argentine, Dutch, Spanish, and German players don't reason like that. They know their level and won't settle for less. Stop being so damn 'humble'. It's actually timidity masquerading as pragmatism. Etebo held his own against the best in the world, and caused them problems. When it's time to sign, their players will go for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, while our own rushes to sign for Stoke City. Why? Stoke City is in the English 2nd division by the way, not the Premiership. |
Leave Iheanacho alone abeg. How many times did your useless coach play him at the World Cup? Was it not Ighalo that he preferred? In the Croatia game they brought on Nacho for the last 5 minutes and he made a great impact, however brief. Even poor Iwobi that played such a huge part in our qualification and friendlies, was benched throughout the tournament by your fcking useless, worthless coach. If not for that saboteur, we would have reached the quarter finals at least, and likely the semis. |
About 2 weeks to the World Cup, we learnt that Etebo had signed for UK championship side Stoke City. I was shocked. Why oh why do Nigerian players rate themselves so lowly? I knew Etebo would shine at the WC. And he did. The commentators were full of praise for his game. Without a doubt, his performance warranted a few calls from 1st tier leagues. He would have been signed by a proper team to play at the highest levels of the game. All he had to do was be confident in his own abilities, and wait till the end of the World Cup, after he has showcased his talents to all and sundry. THEN sit back and wait for the offers to pour in from major clubs. Instead he rushed to sign for Stoke. Why? |
YoungFr:No wahala. ![]() |
YoungFr:Small boy...you mean in the early 1970s. That was when we began to "ignore our music" and went into R&B, reggae etc, not the 2000s.. |
joudini:You are right. But we can fashion out a working republic if we put our minds to it. It is NOT TRUE that we have "almost nothing in common" with each other. Culturally, we are very similar. Ideology and ethos are flexible and amenable to negotiation and compromise. |
Mufasa27:Another excuse. There are LOADS of stars bigger than Davido, and they don't snap and post pictures on social media of themselves dining in their private jets. It's the sort of thing you do when you have low self esteem. |
Mufasa27:When Dangote was young he wasn't flaunting his wealth like this... And he still doesn't, although he is a million times richer than Davido. It's not about being young. It's about lacking class. |
yeyerolling:What do you know, or want to know about the Arab slave trade? And yes, I know African history. Unlike you. |
yeyerolling:You are an ignoramus. What currency did they pay with? Get this. The slave ships arrived with cannon and guns, and forced coastal villages to give them slaves. They gave local chiefs guns and weapons, and made them attack neighbouring villages to acquire captives for enslavement, or risk destruction by cannon. They also kidnapped local kings and forced their subjects to gather slaves, gold etc, in order to secure their release. These were some of the methods they used. Go and study your history and stop being dumb. |
EmperorHarry:You need to shut your trap. There is no 'wrong' time to bring up memories of genocide. Especially unresolved, catastrophic, genocidal massacres. The so-called Jews of modern Israel remind us all of the Holocaust at every given opportunity. Nobody tells them to shut up and forget. You are suffering from racial self hate and low self esteem, which is why you are so eager to "forget" all memories of the millions of blacks murdered and enslaved in history. But their Creator has NOT forgotten. There WILL be an accounting, whether you like it or not. |
yeyerolling:The children are benefiting from the evil of their murderous ancestors. So it is not over. Just as it is not over for the millions of whites today enjoying the fruits of slavery and colonisation committed by their forbears. There MUST be an accounting. There must be compensation to black people one day. Yahweh has decreed it. The offspring will pay for the sins of their fathers. |
EmperorHarry:So your advise is to just forget everything that happened there? Better be careful lest the souls of those innocent people slaughtered return to do you harm. |
kongolo:Err..actually they DON'T KNOW that we don't "live on trees". Many people in the west believe there is zero development in Africa. As in...zero. Many will be shocked to learn we have any sort of modern infrastructure at all anywhere in Africa. You have no idea how much they've been deceived about Africa by their media and education system. When they hear Africa, all they think of is mud huts and starving kids. |
kjhova:You must be either Ighalo or his relative/close friend. We cannot be deceived. FCK off and FCK you. We know he collected money from betting syndicates to FCK up those chances. Karma is alive. Bastards. |
