Just so we are clear on the bolded: Oduduwa, the primogenitor of the Yoruba race is also said to have come from heaven, or from the skies. grin

The origin of the Annunaki is decoded!

Yoruba people are the ancient Annunakis! grin
It is not just Yorubas. ALL the gods from every culture on earth, came from the sky, according to each one's tradition.

What do you know about my race huh
Annunaki means "Those who came down from the skies". The Sumerian creation accounts which tell these stories were the basis for the later bible tales. All the 'gods' of the world were said in each culture, to have come from the sky. In the ancient past, beings with advanced space flight technology came to the earth. They 'created' man 'in their image' by mixing their genes with those of earth hominids. 'Let US make man in OUR image' - Genesis.

This project has the capacity to END power shortages in Nigeria. At a monstrous 4,000 megawatts capacity, it will be by far Nigeria's largest power facility, and one of the largest and most impressive tributes to civil engineering on the African continent. Its completion would immediately shoot up our generation output to 9,000 mw, from the current 5,000. The effect on that on the economy is almost incalculable.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201604140289.html

President Muhammadu Buhari says his administration will honour all agreements reached by Nigeria and China under previous administrations to ensure speedy completion of outstanding joint projects including the 4,000 megawatts Mambilla Hydro-Electric Power Project.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Mallam Garba Shehu, in a statement, quoted him as saying this in Beijing on Wednesday while meeting with Mr Li Keqiang, the Premier of the State Council of the Peoples Republic of China.

President Buhari regretted the failure of past governments to meet Nigeria's obligations in joint projects with China.

He said his government was committed to early completion of all joint power, rail, road and aviation projects that would directly and quickly improve the lives of Nigerians.

He noted that he was particularly keen on actualising the Mambilla Power Project because of its huge potential to boost employment and national economic growth.

The Chinese Premier was quoted as commending Buhari's administration' efforts towards improving infrastructure.

He was also said to have assured Buhari that China was ready to work with his administration to complete all joint projects in Nigeria.

Western countries have a huge interest in prospering African economies for many reasons:

1. They would have more markets to sell their products.
2. They would have safe countries to invest in and thus profit.
3. They would have to worry less about illegal immigration.
4. They would have to worry less about war torn regions giving birth to terrorism.

And the list goes on.
You truly have no clue.

Exactly!.

This is what scares western powers more than anything. I wrote that in a previous thread.

Western nations does not want a situation where one good idea from one African country spread to other third world countries. Because, that's how colonialism ended. Freedom from colonialism began from Lord Kwame Nkrumah is Ghana, and immediately Ghana got her independence it spiraled into a domino effect, and within a couple of years every other African nation fought for her freedom.

Western nations are scared and literally fighting for their survival now, not Nigeria. They're scared because once Nigeria figure out how to solve our current economic impasse, it would become a model for other third world countries to by-pass the IMF and world bank's exploitation. This's the real reason they don't want us act outside of the IMF or world bank control, and it's the real reason the neo-colonialist Ms. Christine Lagarde is frequenting Nigeria.

Keep it up Africa!.
God bless you for this comment. You know what's happening. Meanwhile, Ethiopia is still far behind Nigeria economically, technology wise, and in terms of living standards, so easy on the comparisons guys.

The categories given to the distinct periods of ancient Ife’s artistic production center around the paving of the city’s courtyards and passageways with terracotta bricks sometime around 1000 A.D., marking the beginning of Ife’s Pavement period. This practice is thought to be associated with the urbanization of Ife. The origin of the pavement is explained in a popular story: according to Yoruba mythology, Queen Oluwo ordered the construction of the pavement when her robes were muddied in the dirt.

Artistic production at Ife predates the construction of these pavements. The minimalist stone monoliths and other works of early Ife are generally attributed to the Archaic Era (before 800 A.D.) and Pre-Pavement Era (ca. 800–1000). The emergence of the highly specialized sculptural tradition of Ife is believed to have begun sometime after 800 A.D. and reached its height between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries. These eras, from the pre- to post-Pavement periods (stretching from 800 to 1600), are marked by both an increasingly expressive naturalism in the depiction of human figures and the development of a highly abstract artistic style....

A centre of political and religious power, Ife has been a formidable city-state through much of the second millennium A.D. The flowering of Ife art coincided with the commercial expansion of the neighboring city-state of Oyo, a strategically placed trading centre, that channeled goods coming down the Niger River from the Songhai empire to Ife and other centers. The aesthetic style developed during the Pavement period of Ife art has been an ongoing influence in Yoruba sculptural styles since its inception. ...

''Ile-Ife is the most ancient Yoruba city, and is still venerated today by the Yoruba as their main cultural and religious center. It's practically a holy city. You may know of Ile-Ife due to its highly sophisticated terracotta and bronze castings, but did you know that the city had a complex system of paved roads? Evidently, an oral tradition concerning the distinguished Yoruba ruler Ono Olowo, apparently she was walking around the capital when her regalia was splattered with mud. Very upset, the Queen ordered the construction of pavements around all of the public and religious places of Ife(courtyards, shrines), made of ceramic tiles from pots. A quote concerning how potsherd pavements are created:

How The Pavements Were Built

''The pathway or courtyard to be paved would be prepared by leveling the ground. The potsherds were then prepared by breaking them into pieces. The soil was then well-kneaded to make for a good sub-base providing the working platform. The soil base was mixed with residual water from the palm-oil industry and left to ferment for two to three days. In the absence of residual water from the palm-oil base, the soil was mixed with palm-oil. Where there was no palm-oil, the soil was left to ferment longer, say, one-week. Mixing the soil with palm-oil was done to provide uniform heating when the pavement was being "baked'.

After the base was prepared, the potsherds were then stuck into the prepared soil and then arranged into whatever design was desired, be it herringbone or straight-row design. The pavement was then left to dry out before being "baked". In the baking process, dry wood and shrubs were packed on top of the pavement and set on fire''
''.

During its heyday of the 12th-15th centuries AD, Ile-Ife experienced a fluorescence in bronze and iron arts. Beautiful naturalistic terracotta and copper alloy sculptures made during the early periods have been found at Ife; later sculptures are of the lost-wax brass technique known as Benin bronzes.

It was also during Classic period Ile Ife that construction of decorative pavements, open-air courtyards paved with pottery sherds, began.

How come this seems to apply only to ''negroes''? How come whites don't have to ''repent and live in fear of the lord'' for the lord to let them live the good life? I mean, going by the atrocities they've committed worldwide, 'the lord' should have ten times greater punishment for them than for blacks. Or am I missing something here? What did the ancient blacks do that was so terrible anyway? We're never told in the bible. Perhaps they had become smart enough to see that Yahweh was NOT God?

Deuteronomy 28 is a famous reference for those who hold the idea that blacks are the Jews of old. It certainly is very compelling:

Curses for Disobedience

15 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:

16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.

17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed. (hunger)

18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

20 The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.

21The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess.

22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. 23The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron.

24 The Lord will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed. (Desertification of the once fertile Sahara?)

25 The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth.

26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away.

27 The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. (AIDS, Ebola?)

28 The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. (colonial mentality, craze for foreign imports, racial inferiority complex?)

29 At midday you will grope about like a blind person in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you. (IMF, World Bank policies?)

30 You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. (Slavery)

31 Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them.

32 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. (slave trade, modern day 'brain drain')

33 A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. (colonialism)

34The sights you see will drive you mad.

35 The Lord will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

36 The Lord will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your ancestors. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone. 37 You will become a thing of horror, a byword and an object of ridicule among all the peoples where the Lord will drive you. (slavery)

38 You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it. (drought)

39 You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.

40 You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil, because the olives will drop off. 41 You will have sons and daughters but you will not keep them, because they will go into captivity. 42 Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.

43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you.

46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever.

47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,

48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in unclothedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you. (backwardness, poverty)

49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down (USA) , a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young. 51 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or olive oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined. 52 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the Lord your God is giving you. (This could be referring to the USA's role in the slave trade, and/or its current/future role as director of AFRICOM)

53 Because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you.

54 Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children,

55 and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. 56 The most gentle and sensitive woman among you—so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot—will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter

57 the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For in her dire need she intends to eat them secretly because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of your cities.
....

64 Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.

65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.

66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.

67 In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.

68 The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt (USA is the modern day 'Egypt') on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.
