It's dangerous, when you allow Bricklayers and Iron bender to tell you the amount of reinforcement you need in your Structure without a detailed structural design to guide you...

I saw a post where someone is asking whether 12mm rod can carry a roof Water tank stand... It's not about the reinforcement size, spacing matters a lot, also the sizes of your column, your foundation depth for that portion even your Beam,

2000litres is equal 2000kg of Water, that's pretty heavy for a normal concrete roof to carry conveniently, even though it carries it, can it stand the test of time...

You need to start paying for Drawings, convince your client how important drawings are...

I just finished casting a First Floor Slab on Friday in one of the project I am working on, I had to seal my ear to the grunts and complaints of my Iron Bender and we followed the Structural drawings to the letter, even though it consumed more reinforcement

You have good point here for being said that it’s good to have and follow structural design in building construction.

But you got it totally wrong by saying these

A professional, religious fellow, matured someone will Never say this prayer instead he will advise and let people know the advantages and disadvantages of such to the people.

You can never say, if such prayer is answered by God (I know this type of prayer can’t be answered from this type of talk).

The tap is Thailand made Very Good, made of original brass and coated with Chrome.
It comes with the shower head

The marine rope will not last long, unfortunately, with the temperatures in the North. It loses it's colour and then frays and cuts.

I don't expect it to last for up to 2 years. Some other rope might do the trick.

Actually you are not far from the truth, even here is south and west same issue but we when rope of 1-2k lasted for 2yrs it’s ok and due to be replaced.

The price quoted above is for the complete set but without tap for the basin ( seat, tank, basin, pedestal).

Except the regular wc of 12,500 which is only SEAT and TANK.

what capacity of overhead tank do you suggest for a three bedrooms bungalow, it would be mounted on the roof and the pillars are six inches with 4nos 12mm iron reinforcement. The local winds are usually very strong too( Northern Nigeria)

1500 or 2000ltrs of geepee or storex tanks is suitable for the place,
After mounted the tank finished make sure you tight the tank with marine rope of 10 or 12mm so that the wind will not blow it away

Thank you for your input. But, the calculation is for 4 units of 2-bedroom flat and 2 units of mini flat. (Separated into two buildings, each building having two units of 2-bedroom flat and one unit of mini flat). So, the total for the property will be each of those values, multiplied by 2.
And the engineer charges, do you think it's okay?

My brother for you to get likely accurate cost is to post your drawing if available or the full quotation your said engr gave you so that building professionals or people with experience in building can give you likely cost
