Good points @ILeobatojo. There is a state in Nigeria that has a law against domestic violence in Nigeria. Only one state-imagine, thats Lagos state. Funny how the law enforcers in Nigeria still regard such abuse as family matter and they "advice" you to go back home and resolve the issue amicably.
