Education / Re: B.sc Computer Science Course Outline: Nigeria Vs UK University by rozay12345: 3:01pm On Jan 23, 2018
Personally, the Nigerian syllabus is more robust than that of the UK, there is more universality being presented in the Nigerian syllabus. The best Computer Scientist are excellent Mathematicians, the major problem remains lack of quality laboratories and lecturers, if the listed issue is solve, i would rather ask my kid to go study in a University where he would gain knowledge across board than a specific one.

Reception could have been called the red wedding and promising no murders, and the costume, that is not a game of throne costume at all…maybe if George R.R. Martin is writing another book where they will use that costume sha….Wishing u both the best ib your wedding

They could have learnt from the wedding of Daenerys and tell people to use those Costumes, wedding of Sansa both to Tyrion and Ramseygrin grin grin, wedding party of geoffrey grin grin grin
Politics / Re: Fr. Mbaka And The Voice Of God By Reuben  Abati by rozay12345: 6:33pm On Jan 04, 2018
Brilliant article ... What I find curious every year, is that each Pastor ends up saying something different from the other, whereas what we know is that there is only ONE GOD – absolute and indivisible. The teleological concept of God is monotheistic, but today’s Pastors in their prophecies convey a pantheistic concept of God: a God that speaks in many voices and forms, creating a dissonance which is then exploited by the media, as the year unfolds, measuring the prophecies against actual developments, to determine who among the many prophets is the true seer. This seeming retailing of prophecies in the public sphere should be a source of concern to the Church.
CAN needs to convene a meeting of al Nigerian churches and discuss issues such as prophecies, tithing, first seed and many more. The Nigerian Church must prevail but until issues are trashed out. We believe in One God and his communication to his called should be one voice.

A president and a governor who can laugh out this loud when their nation is in crisis have no empathy for their citizens. Benue and Rivers State massacre comes to fore, is he happy about all these? This is a beautiful expose to a one sided story that have been handed over to future generations. The empire structure was robust in her checks and balances that a certain man would outlive five kings. The kings were overreaching. Even in the popular movie, i saw nothing wrong in Basorun Gaa's hold to governance except his children impunity and the request which resulted in the Alaafin Abiodun's daughter being used for money sacrifice, i questioned the script and wondered how can the Alaafin's daughter be involved in a street trade or what a whole Basorun of the Oyo Empire would need to be involved in those rituals for, this article has really confirmed my judgment that History is being distorted and a one sided story by apologist is what we have in Nigeria, Nigerian graduates in History and Archaeology needs to do more to correct these erroneous mistakes of the past.

NOI polls i trust might be a government agency, Nevertheless, for candidate Buhari, this might spell doom because there will be lots of exposes as we move towards election, cross carpeting and voters education thereby shrinking his votes. The dynamics of the 2015 elections would be quite different, he would be expected to defend his mandate this time on a popular TV debate, his health might play a major card since he would be required to travel around the country in a limited time and rumour mills would sure grind. Good luck to whatever candidate eventually emerges but i still feel Nigeria deserves the best on the long run.

The way some consultants would sit and conjure trash is nauseating, you need to take into cognisance some factors when you want to preach business and success. Firstly, where did he get the statistics he is bragging with?, Secondly, does he know the proper definition of education being ability to learn, unlearn and relearn, thirdly, does he know there is a difference between education and literacy? Following his shallow definition of Education, there still exists more successful people in business than the "uneducated" ones.

In all sincerity and objectivity, the matter the lady has brought to play is wrong and the best word to describe such a lady is rabble-rouser. Nigeria is a very secular country with a near balance population of Christians and Muslims. The animist/atheist population is quite insignificant. Someone who is called to bar must be blind to all sentiments in the delivery of justice. For her supporters, i want them to expect a nuclear effect, the glamour of the ceremony would be gone in no distant time if they proceed with this. People would point to their freedom of expression and mess up the whole process. Let us wait and see.

Two wrongs can never make a right, infact a million wrongs, PDP as a party stole with brazen impunity and their thefts would never be erazed from Nigerians memory. The saddest part of the story is that 40 percent of APC constituents were Generals in the PDP. The APC revived the PDP by lacklustre performance and hypocritical corruption fights. A group the president boldly said has been defeated technically two years ago is what he needs a billion dollars to fight again. Is the Boko Haram war being deliberately sustained by Nigerian Army in order to not dry a ready cash reserve? A billion dollars in our Agriculture, Infrastructure of Information Technology is the investment we need to compete in 2020s, Nigeria must not remain a village in world affairs. Our government needs to shove aside sentiments and serve us the truth. This is very sad.

WORDWORLD:

Just as you have said "TOEING THE TRIBAL LINES BY OUR FORE-FATHERS". Nigeria's chances of growth INDEED has been BLEAK right from the word "GO". Its been tribal and religious politics NOT the politics on economy of growth. VERY, VERY SAD HONESTLY AND SO UNFORTUNATE!!!

This was what the man, LEE KUAN YEW who FORGED Singapore into a VIBRANT NATION wrote about Nigeria (and some African countries) in his book 'FROM THIRD TO FIRST WORLD':

On the culture of coups in the 1960s:
"I was not optimistic about Africa. In less than 10 years after independence in 1966, Nigeria had had a coup and Ghana a failed coup. I THOUGHT THEIR TRIBAL LOYALTIES WERE STRONGER THAN THEIR SENSE OF COMMON NATIONHOOD".

He further said,

"On Chief Festus, Nigeria’s finance minister, in1966: The night before the meeting, Sir
Abubakar Tafawa Belewa gave us a banquet
in the hotel. Raja and I were seated opposite
a hefty Nigerian, Chief Festus, their finance
minister.
The conversation is still fresh in my mind.
He was going to retire soon, he said. He had
done enough for his country and now had to
look after his business, a shoe factory.
As finance minister, he had imposed a tax on
imported shoes so that Nigeria could make
shoes … I went to bed that night convinced
that they were a different people playing to a
different set of rules."

Now on other African countries he also wrote:
"On Krobo Edusei, Ghana’s minister for
presidential affairs, in 1966: On our arrival at
Accra, the person who came up to the
aircraft to greet me was Krobo Edusei, the
minister for presidential affairs.
He had gained notoriety as a corrupt minister
who had bought himself a golden bedstead, a
story much publicised in the world press …
On my second night in Accra, he took me to
a nightclub in Accra. He proudly announced
that he was the owner and that all VIPs
would enjoy their evenings there.
MORE EQUAL
On Kamuzu Banda, Malawi’s founding father:
He was quite a character, with his sunglasses
even indoors and at night, and his buxom
young African lady companion. He looked old
but spoke with vigour, waving his fly whisk to
emphasise his points. (1971 Commonwealth
meeting in Singapore)
On Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia’s founding
father: Prime Minister Kenneth Kaunda’s
major preoccupation was politics, black versus
white politics, not the economics of growth
for Zambia. He remained as president until
the 1990s when, to his credit, he conducted
a fair election and lost.
On lavish lifestyles displayed by Third World
leaders at Commonwealth meetings: All
leaders were equal at the conference table,
but those from heavyweight countries showed
that they were more equal by arriving in big
private jets, the British in their VC 10s and
Comets, and the Canadians in Boeings …
Those African presidents whose countries
were then better off, like Kenya and Nigeria,
also had special aircraft.
I wondered why they did not set out to
impress the world that they were poor and
in dire need of assistance".

Well "BLEAK, BLEAK, BLEAK" has been right from inception and FAR WORSE TODAY for people have been so nurtured with all kinds of IRRATIONAL MADNESS hence won't stop behaving like MAD PEOPLE as it mostly is on this SECTION called POLITICS you will hardly, hardly come across any INTELLECTUAL CONTENT profering solutions to our problems except ADDING TO IT no objectivity except BLIND SENTIMENTALISM. Yes only 'IMBEC!LES take pride in tribe in deteriment of all!!!. EVEN IF THE IGBOS BREAK AWAY ITS ONLY GOING TO BE ANOTHER NIGERIA OF IMBEC!LES. FOR ITS NOT THE CURE TO THE DISEASE INHERENT IN MOST NIGERIANS. THEY ARE STILL GOING TO REBEL AGAINST EACH OTHER. ITS ALL ABOUT SELFISH INTEREST AND NOTHING MORE PULLING US ALL APART.
WORLDWORLD, I am here saluting your sagacity again, I once suggested to a friend that a general interview for political rulers in Africa could be who has read Lee Kwan Yew's book since they have refused to help grow our Continent, if they lack ideas on how to grow a country, they would understand better the way things are meant to work. Our leaders are myopic, bleak and unintelligent. They all have made politics a career. Career politicians are one of the reasons ethnic/tribal politics dominate the airwaves. When a man loses/wants to contest an election, he plays the ethnic/religious card. We need a leader who would unite Nigerians and gives us all a sense of belonging, one who would educate the masses and teach them how to fish. Primordial sentiments like ethnicity, religion, party affiliations, personal relationships cannot continue to be the main factors when we select people who determine a collective destiny. When i see threads like this, i do not comment because i cannot drag myself in the cesspit to compete with pigs but your presence attracted me. Nairaland needs to do an immediate service to this country by promoting intellectual contents in their pages, contents that can educate and add to the citizenries. Nigerians are too uneducated to be misguided by an ethnic warlord behind a keyboard. In conclusion, it is said a nation's followership cannot transcend her leadership. Followership determines leadership, in the nearest future and without the plans from these thieves called rulers, Nigerians might take their future in their hands.

WORDWORLD:

Thumbs up to you too, i honestly do respect your views which you share on this platform very insightful and enlightening. Which HONESTLY makes me so glad that there are still people out there walking on their feet and not on their faces for this AGE of ours is one of INTELLECTUAL VACUITY, people dont use their heads but anus to think.

You see, almost all that the op is teaching men about women is a reflection of what Sherry Agrov too is teaching women in her best seller book 'WHY MEN LOVE BITCHES'. Am glad that you have read the book.

Most of this teaching are built on TWISTED MINDS. Sure its a twisted minded lady that will prefer to be treated POORLY, like a PIG in a SH!T hole to win her emotionally. Such PIGS (ladies) GLUTTONUSLY UNGRATEFUL for the kindness and love shown to them are far in the multitude and that is why such a perception has become a generalization for women that unless you treat them poorly they wont submit. These ladies are inclined to their animal side and thats why the behave like pigs ungrateful IRRATIONAL so that when you start treating them less than humans they start to respond favourably because of that animal in them.

BUT, there are these set of ladies very FEW, THEY ARE RARE GEMS, any man fortunate to be in relationship with one of these rare gems is a man so BLESSED. They appreciate you for even a smile at them, they are humane and truely human and will bounce out of a relationship once you start treating them poorly thinking its the way, the principle, the cardinal, the law to winning them emotionally. For these few RARE GEMS know their worth and are up and standing in EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, their minds are well cultivated and they take no BULLSH!T. I do not dispute the rules given by the op, sure without doubt its a perception as to the multitude ladies who are like P!GS, who love it when you feed them with SH!T. And there are too many of them as so, for it takes DISCIPLINE to become truely humane, A QUEEN to be worshipped by men. This path the mostly do not thread, they mostly prefer to incline to the ANIMAL SIDE because its a short cut, easy.

A man for sure will love a woman more and more and be willing to go an extra mile if when she is treated with kindness and care she is full of gratitude, appreciates you for LOVING her. This they mostly dont understand. Because they are mostly too STUP!D to understand or say to LAZY to understand. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IF YOU TREAT A WOMAN LIKE SH!T BECAUSE WHEN YOU WERE TREATING HER LIKE A QUEEN SHE SEES YOU LIKE A SH!T. BUT WHEN BEEN TREATED LIKE SH!T SHE STARTS TO SEE YOU LIKE A KING. Different strokes for different folks. As for me i prefer the rare gems any day any time thats my standard. One i can treat like a human being. A QUEEN!!!
*** I wont like to miss your mentions. Its 'WORDWORLD' .........not WORLDWORLD. Before i forget, have you been able to read the link i gave you, THE DISEASE OF DEMOCRACY by Henry Louis Mencken www.ditext.com/mencken/democracy.html ? The politics section is another crazy section not as crazy as the religion section though, those ones in religion their brain is always dancing AWILO-LOGONBA, mostly aimless people. The common ground with all religion is LOVE YOU NEIGHBOUR but they are mostly full of HATE. The politics section is full of drama, some times fun but too blinded by TRIBAL SENTIMENTS.
Honestly @WORLDWORLD, sorry for the typo, you are very right, i am a man who would love to be with the rare gem just like you and i do prefer them over a billion others, i have so much love in my heart and i honestly feels the best thing anyone can have in this life is to fall in love with a rare gem and most importantly be loved back, the love not being more nor less, but i wonder what is wrong with the modern women specie, why do they want to be rejected and treated like scum before they fall in love properly? Sincerely, i am gonna marry the rare gem because what is life without love, why do we have to play by some rule books all the time? Honestly, i have printed the link but would be digesting it tonight, i will give you my feedback. By the way, on the politics section, it is disturbing how Nigerians have degraded themselves to ethnic mudslinging, you rarely can see an intellectual piece or comment in the front page, i will suggest a down-voting in the future, if the owner of the platform wants some vigorous ideas, he can train an AI system to analyze words like Afonjas, Flattinos and such comments are auto deleted. I think that is a project i would work on some times next year. Thumbs up bro. I do hope u stay in Lagos, would like to meet you soon.

WORDWORLD:

To be frank its not a gender thing but a general thing in human affairs. Example, you go to the market to purchase some wears e.g and you suddenly spoted one which really excited you so much and you cant hide how you LIKE what you have seen. And like "that moment you show a gal how much she means to you, that is when you have sold yourself out" same thing applies to the SELLER in the market. That moment you start showing how much you really LIKE the stuff you want to buy, bro you have sold yourself out because the seller is going to hype the price. But if you pretend as if it no big deal, something you dont care, not so interested as if you are actually doing the seller a favour. You see how the seller becomes so HUMBLE, trying as much as possible to give it out at an affordable price and not cut throat price. IT APPLIES TO SO MANY OF OUR HUMAN AFFAIRS, AS FOR ME I FIND IT TOO BE TO SAD A TRAIT, WHEN WE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLES' EXPRESSION OF THEIR SINCERE FEELINGS FOR LIKING OR LOVING US OR A THING JUST TO HARM THEM FOR BEING TRUE TO THEMSELVES. Very pathetic really and i must tell you, its a show of UNGRATEFUL mentality.
@WORLDWORLD, You are always making sense, i am just sad that you prefer to put majority of your contributions in Education and Romance. I want you to do more in Politics Section. Anyway, i was that guy who never hid his feelings a while ago and i can testify that it always ends up bad, women never really know what they wants, since it is the way of the world, i switched to the other side and it really works, like really works. We need to get the word out there, nobody is special to you more than yourself, you are the most special being in a relationship and you should always love yourself more, never lower your standards for anything, there is nothing that makes a woman special, you drew all those stuffs in your head, the woman you said is very beautiful is irritating to others, the woman you exalt her Godliness or character is seen by others differently, all the attributes that made you love her were conjured in your head, play the game and live the life, Life is already hard and disturbing yourself over someone throwing themselves at another person who literarily care is harming yourself, Thumbs UP WORLDWORLD

Nigeria and Africa needs an urgent and immediate reset, the country keep failing her citizens every now and then, citizens are being killed like cockroaches and it has never demanded an outrage, Nigerians need to know that they have a universal right to their life and government only comes in place to guarantee these rights. Going forward, we must find a solution to the herdsman crises bedevilling this nation and other form of vices threatening innocent citizens. To add my voice to the #EndSars, with the revelation being made, a proper nation would set up a truth and reconciliation committee to determine the veracity of the claims being made, flush out and punish the erring police officers.

If they derail from this, the position of the Vice President would be thrown open to all Southern geo political zones and the voting power/media/power house of the South west would not want to be shortchanged. Lest i forget, the non inclusion of South Westerners in Jonathan's Government was a major reason the centre did not hold.

He asked rhetorically why he should not give back some of his experience and exposure to a country that has given him so much? Why should he allow incompetent people to run down the country when God has given him the talent and wherewithal to lift up Nigeria? The support Atiku is getting in the country today is sincerely from those who love the country and are not blinded by any ethnic/party sentiments. Nigeria is a great and fantastic country that must not be allowed to go into the doldrums. Next year, we would be celebrating being the poverty capital of the world and someone is voicing internally that we do not need a man who is grounded in economics/business and politics to run this country. You can only build a reputation on what you have done, not on what you are going to do. Atiku is tested and trusted in business/politics/people engagement. Inside and outside of government, there is no family that has benefited from a Buhari's goodwill or governance. Nigeria must not be allowed to enter the 2020s with a senile and unproductive leader like Buhari, he is expired of ideas, he does not know the right people to take Nigeria to Canaan, he just wants to frolic with his inner family/religious cabal. Nigerians should wise up, a politician in Nigeria is very productive in his first term, Buhari's second term would be characterized by "I DO NOT GIVE A DAMN". If he can grant an interview as deeply touching like this, your guess is as good as mine, he would have my vote. Till then, Nigerians must wise up, we must be set on the right path now or we might lose it. All the progressives/conservatives in the country must team up behind Atiku. What will clear everyone's doubts is to ask for a debate between Buhari and Atiku. Let them explain their economic blueprint, mitigating corruption, revamping and building up Nigeria infrastructure. I can assure you of one thing, that debate would expose a man, we would see a man who cannot defend his government thereby appealing to useless emotions and a flawed/hypocritical character. I am passionate about my country and Nigeria cannot afford not to get it right. Let me borrow a quote from The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, “Without prosperity and democracy in Nigeria, there will be no lasting prosperity in Africa. And without prosperity in Africa, there cannot be lasting prosperity, with good conscience, in our world.” We have democracy now, we await prosperity.

More successful cities such as New York, London, Hong Kong and many more do not have this gory headlines. Nigerians need to look beyond ethnicity in everything they do In the religious and scientific clime, no human should lay claim of ownership to anywhere in the world, the two major religions accepted our origin as Eden, nobody can trace Eden today. In science, man originated from the rift valley and from there disperse across the world. Even red indians crossed an ice bridge from Siberia to the Americas during the ice age. For the minister to say Nigerian roads are not bad, he needs to discuss fully the roads he has travelled in the last six months, Moving around well-paved Abuja roads does not justify this irrational statement, the statement is an insult to the generality of Nigerians who uses the road every now and then, his statement is an insult to the lives that could have been active today who were cut short by Nigerian roads, has he travelled from Lagos to Abuja and spend almost 18 hours on the road or from Lagos to Enugu and spend 9 hours on the road or Lagos to Calabar and spend 15 hours on the road or Lagos to Ibadan and spend 4 hours on the road. Here is a man who i am very sure is always in the air, and looks down at the road, and is making those judgments. Sir, get down from your high horse and come see the giant holes in our roads. Our roads are ranked 127th in the world. Those are very sad. Proffer solutions and stop justifying the unjustifiable.
