Education / Re: Adamu Abubakar Rasheed Graduates From University Of Aberdeen UK. Nigerians React by rozay12345: 11:33am On Nov 26, 2017
Education is very elite and expensive. I would not join others in blaming the man, everyone wants the best for themselves and their kids, until we have a responsible government of the people that we tasked our Universities to see beyond their microscopic veil and become high flying like the Harvards of this world, this symptom would happen forever.

lustychima:
I like your mature and sincere response

You agree that the present administration has achieved some progress in the case of corruption and terrorism but are relenting in the area of economy

And you will agree with me that Nigeria being a mono based economy must be affected by oil drop regardless of whom is in power? And you will also agree with me things are changing gradually, prices of goods dropping etc

U think we allow them to finish their tenure by now paying attention to the areas they are lagging behind or we try fresh young hands

Not in any way holding brief for the present administration anyway but remember they have some positive initiative like n power and others

And we shouldn't fall for what someone stand for on social media alone
Coz their opinion in practical terms may mean otherwise
Example ben bruce
Thanks OP for a dignified response, the current administration has not achieve a significant progress in corruption, if you are asked to move from 0 to 100m within ten minutes and u arrive at 0.000001m after two minutes, that does not signify progress. There still remains fundamentals in corruption and economic mismanagement that this administration has refused to take by the head. On terrorism, we can give them a few points but Nigerians today understand the fundamental drive of Boko Haram, Nigerians naturally expected their grievances to die with a Buhari presidency, i am not insinuating the president has affiliation with them but deep inside us all, we know the truth. The fundamentals of Terrorism remains poverty and poor education. How has the current administration addressed that?, Nigeria being a mono based economy is understandable but Oil does not drive the country even when it earns us a lot of our forex. There is no clear cut plan to diversify the economy. Also, i would never commend the government on NPower, stuffs like these are unsustainable to me. Stimulate the economy and let graduates get the jobs they deserved.

Politics / Re: Atiku Abubakar..... A Personal Opinion by rozay12345: 9:11am On Nov 25, 2017
Good morning OP,
Thanks for taking time out to discuss some issues but your personal opinion is not well grounded.
Firstly, 90 percent of Atiku supporters do not hate the head of this administration, they only love their country more, they are tired of non-performing hypocrites. The Nigerian economy has been taken to the dogs since Buhari became president, no clear cut economic policies, lack of direction and no form of communication with the governed. The same way Nigerians wanted a change from corruption and terrorism in 2015, i think they are demanding an equal change in 2019 for better lives and economy. We are asking Buhari to give us an account of his stewardship.
On the issue of age, Atiku might be 71 but he is very young at heart, he is digital and tech savvy, i can bet you, he plays some role in his social media accounts while our analog president is not fit to lead us after 2020. The world is moving very fast and this leadership is dragging us back to the Iron age. Nigerians would not care about where a man comes from in 2019, we care about competence, here is a man who can discuss just about anything in the Nigerian sphere? do you know Atiku has a blog where he discuss Nigerian issues every week? Ethnic politics are being played by the APC by promising a section of the country the presidency after the incumbent, is this how we would enter the future? Atiku is avery liberal Nigerian. Nigeria Muslims, Christians and Animists are safe in his hands, he would not brandish a sect of islam and wage war against them, he would not be silent when Fulani herdsmen decimate the middle belt population. Nigerians are tired of hypocritical fight in corruption. It is either we get the real thing or not. I challenge Buhari to debate Atiku in 2019 and let us see who understand Nigeria better and can take us to our El Dorado.

The best investor remains Dangote, i believe in his Midas touch, competition is good for the industry, 9Mobile should not be sold to a competitor who is interested in his subscriber base alone.

The Nigerian society needs a total overhaul, though if the young man makes his money legally, he can be praised and assigned as a role model for our young people but if the source of his wealth is questionable, dastard little acts like this destroys our society and everyone remains guilty, the blogger that brought up his news, the ones who praise him and the ones who wants to be like him. For God sake, for everyone of him you see, there are a hundred people doing things the right way and they should be showered with the right attention.

If what you have explained is the truth, it is sad the dilemma you have to pass through but your mum is just pushing her love too far for you. The world we live in is a wicked place and your mum not wanting you to experience her pains is understandable on her path. What i feel you should do is inform your mum that you are very uncomfortable with her methods and assure her of your principle to abide by her laid down rules. Also, do not raise any form of suspicion on her path. God be with you all.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Any Difference? See Son Of New Zimbabwe President Splashing Wealth by rozay12345: 1:49am On Nov 23, 2017
While the ousting of Mugabe is needed as a lesson to other sit-tight dictators across Africa, there is not much to be celebrated in Zimbabwe. The incoming president never disagreed with Mugabe on principles, they only had individual clashes which topple his government. What Zimbabwe needs now is a credible election with credible candidates who have no affiliation to the spoilt and corrupt regime that was resigned few days ago.

They are corrupt ...they are part of the mess the agencies are.
Corruption and greediness is an innate part of every human, but for people to steal, they would gauge the body language of the leader, if it remains unfavourable or unsavoury to corrupt tendencies, they would flee from it.

Nigeria and duplicity of functions everywhere, what is the role of the country Auditors that are fully paid with Oil Money/Taxes? This vividly reminds me of Ali baba joke, by the time some of those money go missing, the president would set up two committees, one to probe the committee that was meant to audit the recovered funds, another committee to disband them.

Politics / Re: Cabinet Reshuffle: 50 Ministers Not Enough For Nigeria –NSE by rozay12345: 9:43am On Nov 22, 2017
The position of the NSE president is very wrong and it should never be celebrated at all. How can you compare Nigeria with the UK, whose people are naturally frugal, does the NSE president knows what it cost to maintain a Nigerian minister?, I can bet you with salaries, overheads and allowances, it will run into hundreds of millions. Does he know we still have every index of human growth in doubt, our roads are bad, our public education is sub standard, our health sector is comatose, food security is abysmal, security of lives has been given to the dogs and he is talking about a cabinet expansion that is not justified, the only reason the president proposed the cabinet expansion is for the 2019 elections, Nigeria politicians have no integrity, a man who said Ministers are Noisemakers now turns his back because of his reelection, how long before we take our country from these dogs?

In the twenty first century, the capital punishment is absurd, this is my personal opinion. No one has the right to take a human life not even government. The same cultist and terrorist are always empowered by politicians before and during elections. Personally, i believe the government should provide better security apparatus across the state, make security the business of the locals by reporting any thing that makes them suspicious, punishing all crimes as appropriate, reporting suspected cultist/terrorist and rehabilitating those who show remorse towards a better life. The death penalty is very stringent to me when you have not provided the underlying security apparatus. This same scenario has been proven several times, the death penalty for armed robbery, kidnapping has not stem their ugly tides. Let Government do its business part of providing good life and security before discussing capital punishment.

Education / Re: University Of Ibadan Replies Critics Over High Number Of First Class Graduates by rozay12345: 12:19am On Nov 21, 2017
I remembered few years ago, i wanted to apply for Masters in the USA, i started my search for schools till i discovered there were 5,000 tertiary institutions alone in the USA, i later got to know that the University of Ibadan which i attended is ranked higher than 97% of these schools in the USA, though i lost interest in the post graduate studies but i can always attest to the performance of the University of Ibadan First Class Students, whether anyone likes it or not, the University selects the creme de la creme of Nigerian secondary students. The University started using a combination of WAEC and JAMB(Minimum of 200) to process admission ten years ago. In my department, you see majority of the students boasting of 9A1s, 8A1s and several distinctive results. What surprised me most was that in my final year, the department decided to admit 17 students into 100 Level, the least student had 7A1s, the representative of the HOD of Electrical Engineering said the students were the best crop in any undergraduate school in Africa, i believe those students constitute a chunk of the First Class in this graduating set.

The most intelligent humans are those who never forsake friends they grow up with, life can get rosy for you but you do not forget genuine friends, as you grow in wealth and position, you should always remember that majority of the people who surround you are very fake and you should be able to distinguish them out. All is well that ends well.

Do they know they can achieve more in the area of entertainment, media, ICT, medicine, finance, music and just about anything without body shaming themselves? Do they realize there are several women role models out there? God please give us good and worthy daughters.
