Maurice iwu started inec with no play book and guide.

Yakubu came after jega who saw the removal of a sitting president.
Anybody would expect that the elections would get better, but it has gotten worse.
The osun governor have just being declared illegitimate by the tribunal and you can bet that many others too will lose their seats.

If inec under yakubu still get elections invalidated even with the long years of experience, better funding and more robust laws compared to the Maurice iwu era who started afresh, then who has failed the most!?
The answer is clear.

I have to say that I am taken aback by this simple act by Mr. Akuyam. It is unheard of in this modern time for a Nigerian politician to resign from a position of power. I am very impressed that he had the decency to read the handwriting on the wall and decided to walk away with his integrity intact. Most Nigerian politicians in his position would switch their party affiliation and allegiance and would lobby to keep their position. So, Kudos to the Finance Commissioner, Mr. Garbi Akuyam. I hope other politicians would learn from his remarkable example and know that it is not always about money and power. Most often, good name, peace of mind and one's integrity are usually more important.
