Who told you God didnt ?

Are you gay grin

Back to your question, am glad you asked. If we are talking about the God (helohim, Jehovah, etc) that destroyed Sodom and Gomorah, then my answer will be no he didn't. Maybe some other God provided the job wink

alpha conde: I can't imagine that an age long feeling could be changed in a matter of minutes, as soon as I heard the words from the pope "who am I to judge gay people" my spirit was humbled. I felt this weakness in me. I discover that I equalled with them (homosexuals) in other forms of sin we commit.

Recently I was made to know that anyone who depends on his strenght to attain salvation may probably lose it, hence we must depend on God s love and grace.

Now here's is a real life comparism.
I have this friend who's gay, he left for UK and since then has expressed joy in an enviroment that supports his acts. He even looks forward to marrying a man, anytime we chat and he talks about it am always disgusted.

When he was in nigeria we used to be business patners so we were very close, now that he is away we talk often about out lives and challenges.
The other day he called to inform me that he has gotten a very good job, with a world cLass bank, and I asked myself why he would bless a gay with such a miracle? And me who isn't gay is down here expecting a breakthrough, it was then I discovered God hasn't even rejected them. Why should we?

Now that the pope has said this, I recall that judgement should be left for God.
Though I personally abhor this act but then I have come to understand that this is the same reason christ died.

Lastly I encourage all to keep praying for them and rescue them from the devil.

Alpha conde.

@OP who told you God gave him the Job?

Religion / I Will Not Worship A Homophobic God-archbishop Tutu by rubenic(m): 10:07am On Jul 27, 2013

South Africa’s Nobel peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu says he will never worship a “homophobic God” and will rather go to hell.

The retired archbishop was speaking at the launch of a UN-backed campaign in South Africa to promote gay rights.

Despite sex-same relationships being legal in South Africa, it had some of the worst cases of homophobic violence, UN human rights chief Navi Pillay said.

Archbishop Tutu, 81, is a long-standing campaigner for gay rights.

‘Toilet brush attack’

He retired as Archbishop of Cape Town in 1996, but has remained the moral conscience of the nation, correspondents say.

Same-sex relationships are illegal in more than a third of countries around the world and punishable by death in five, Ms Pillay said.

In Africa, homosexual acts are still a crime in 38 countries, according to the rights group Amnesty International.

“I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I would say sorry, I mean I would much rather go to the other place,” Archbishop Tutu said at the launch of the Free and Equal campaign in Cape Town.

“I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this.”

Archbishop Tutu said the campaign against homophobia was similar to the campaign waged against racism in South Africa.

“I am as passionate about this campaign as I ever was about apartheid. For me, it is at the same level,” he added.

Ms Pillay said gay and lesbian people in South Africa had some of the best legal safeguards since apartheid ended in 1994, but they still faced brutal attacks.

Last month, a lesbian was found dead, having been sexually assaulted with a toilet brush.

“People are literally paying for their love with their lives,” she said, AFP news agency reports.

The UN would push for gay rights to be recognised in countries where they are illegal, Ms Pillay said.

“I constantly hear governments tell me, ‘but this is our culture, our tradition and we can’t change it’… So we have lots of work to do,” she added.

Archbishop Tutu won the Nobel peace prize in 1984 for campaigning against white minority rule in South Africa.

I am as passionate about this campaign as I ever was about apartheid”

Some people will still believe this picture or story (if there is any) not because it is true but because of the phobia they already have for this group of Christians. *the mind sees what it decides to see* undecided

NO WONDER YOU ARE SO CONFUSSED grin
Religion / Re: The Dangers Of Wilful Sins by rubenic(m): 7:25pm On Jun 23, 2013
blink182: Do not engage in discussions that are above your station. This is the Holy Spirit you are referring to, do not make a mockery of Him and His ministry because He will never forgive you. Mark 3:29, if you feel like insulting anyone in the Godhead then insult the Father or Jesus not the Holy Spirit because on the last day I will personally bear witness against you.

It is bad enough that most Christians do not recognise His ministry or what He stands for.

Did u my question sound insulting? It seems u missed my point...You don't need the holy spirit to decipher certain things not because "he" can't help u but because u've got a brain: the part of your body that consumes the bulk of your energy. Hope u got my point now grin
Religion / Re: The Dangers Of Wilful Sins by rubenic(m): 6:47pm On Jun 23, 2013
blink182: you hate Christianity, do you even know what Christianity is?

If you feel the people that are saying they are inspired of the Holy Spirit are telling lies why not develop a personal relationship with Him and ask Him these things for yourself or has your pastor told you that he is the only one with access to the Holy Spirit?

No i don't! Do you? Are you? grin
Btw, do you need the holy spirit to know if you are hungry or not? You've got a brain, so use it! cool
Religion / Re: The Dangers Of Wilful Sins by rubenic(m): 6:27pm On Jun 23, 2013
@all critiques, take it or leave it, the OP is talking fact! This is one of the reasons i hate "Christainity": we all love twisting the bible and claiming the holy spirit inspired us. I need to fornicate this night afterall i have confuss Jesus as my lord and savoir: Am a candidate of heaven grin. Who is deceiving who?

Sports / 'don't Blame Drogba And Toure Nigeria Played Better Than We Did'-ivorian Player by rubenic(m): 10:12am On Feb 05, 2013
Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore, who played few minutes during the Elephants’ quarterfinal clash with Nigeria on Sunday, told supersport.com his side didn’t lose because they underestimated the Super Eagles but rather because the Nigerians were superior.

The all-West African cracker ended 2-1 in favour of the Super Eagles, who are now through to the semifinals of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

“We made serious preparation because we knew playing Nigeria would be tough but once on the pitch Mikel Obi and his mates quickly seized the midfield, cutting off the link to our front men. This happened for much of the first half, which hindered us from getting a foothold as soon as possible in the meeting,” Traore said.

The Anzhi Makhachkala top scorer refused to blame his captain, Didier Drogba, and reigning African Footballer of the Year ,Yaya Toure, both of whom local fans say failed to live up to expectation and caused their unexpected exit from the tournament.

“Drogba and Toure are great players. They did their best but the problem was that Nigeria were too much. They overwhelmed us, not just the two players alone. I can understand their (fans) anger but they have to blame the whole team and not just Drogba and Toure.”

Traore also gave kudos to Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi for his “creative and pragmatic” solution for the quarterfinals.

“Imagine, a number of sports pundits in Ivory Coast were saying this coach would not be able to come up with any solution to surmount the Ivorian hurdle but he did eventually. He was able to make our team sterile, visionless and stupid. He was creative and pragmatic. At a time, on the bench, we were wondering if this was the team that drew 1-1 against Burkina Faso in the group phase.”

Where does the future lie for the country’s best footballer generation after failing once again to crown their long walk with a continental title? Traore says the future remains bright.

“When I hear people say it is all over for this team I feel sad. Players come and go but the team will be here. Even if Drogba doesn’t win an Afcon title, it doesn’t me Ivory Coast will never be able to win the trophy one day.”
