PoliticsRe: The Mausoleum Where Alao-Akala Was Buried (Pictures) by Rugaria: 9:36pm On Feb 19, 2022
They should stop this new culture of burying the bodies of dead politicians in graves full of tiles and marbles. It makes no sense. The body will decay and will not make any contact with the ground. The watery abunna will be there and can't escape to anywhere until one day, there will be an opening and the stench will be "awesome".... Seen this before. Make the grave beurifull but make sure the casket is laid in the ground so as to enhance easy decay, because the body must decay at a point..

How about the killings of thousands of benue, Zamfara and Katsina people?
How many times has the fat Anyim spoken up about the killings in his own Ebony State by Fulani Herdsmen?

Dude, your soldiers invaded my region, the Midwest, that is how the war started.
You are the one dwelling in revisionism. Wake up.
The Biafran war ended in 1970, yet up to today, the Biafran propaganda seems to continue to live rent free in the heads of the people of the southeast.
1)The first shots were fired by Nigerian soldiers at Biafra soldiers at a place called Gakem in present day Cross Rivers..
2)The bulk of Nigerian soldiers were not even made up of fulanis but of northern minorities from the middle belt, yorubas and some Southern minorities and North and West African mercenaries..
3)Air sorties and land attacks were all coordinated from Lagos and Midwestern soldiers loyal to Lagos, were all aware.
4)Biafran soldiers were also made up of elements from the Midwest, including folks like Kaduna Nzeogwu and co.
5)If you're upset that Biafran soldiers moved into the Midwest in their bid to quench the nuisance at Lagos, you should have asked your uncles why they felt helpless to stop The Nigerian government from using your airspace to fly in bombers that destroyed markets, schools, homes and churches in Biafraland...
The Biafrans did the right thing...

Oh, so you mean your soldiers invading the Midwest was just for a friendly football game ?
You said the igbos started the war! How? Explain to the reading public so I can take it from there. The historical events leading to the first shot fired are well documented and are in the open sphere. You can't be allowed to get away with your endless revisionism here. Your uncles fired the first shots at Gakem! You bombed from Lagos! Whatever happened from The Biafra side thereafter was nothing but defending the motherland... That's history. Facts..

Slurity:
there is nothing like unfair to the Igbos, they always support wrong candidates and make other they needed thier vote as their enemies. How will you convince your enemies to support you? They have zero chance in politics because they don't even understand the game. Do they think Yorubas are fools when they supported Jonathan first time? Or when they supported Binaries both first and second time? They really need to support others before they can be supported because they lack the strength to dictate where the election goes. They lack the numbers
When they supported shagari, they didn't know the game?
When they supported your brother Obasanjo nko? They lacked the numbers?
When they supported Jonathan, who is not Igbo, but whom you have foisted an Igbo identity on, just for maximum mischief, they didn't know how to play the game, abi?

If because of some fake census and dubious state creations, you want the whole world to believe that the igbos can't make a president, then you should be reminded that we all came into independent Nigeria as three regions. If two of those regions go for treacherous politics in order to dominate and dictate, there is an option left for others and that will be deuly activated... We're getting there slowly slowly.

For those who keep talking about Igbo savings being made to disappear by Nigeria after the civil war, I want to ask this:
You Igbos and your southeast were at war with the rest of Nigeria, yet you expected Nigerian banks to hold money for you ?
Biafran soldiers went into other regions and raped and maimed and killed and looted, yet you were expecting the banks of your ennemies and of those victimised by your soldiers to keep money for you ?

What type of reasoning goes on in the southeast ?

You lost a war which you started, the first casualties of that war were whatever savings you had in the banks of your ennemies. I can't believe this is any hard to understand, your war caused damages to the region's which you invaded, you are lucky you weren't all (southeast) put through hard labour as reparations for your war.
How did the igbos start the war?

One has been managing the economy under Buhari and the economy is in tatters. He might be a pastor but he's part and parcel of a of a regime that has not convicted anyone for thousands of gruesome murders by Fulani Herdsmen... The other one is highly undemocratic, going as far as arresting folks over Facebook posts! Apart from his "flyovers to nowhere", I don't understand what the hullabaloo about his socalled performance is all about..

It's our history, and we have learn to live with it.
That history made us the force we are today,to be reckoned with.
The Japanese messed up The Chinese when China was very weak.
Read about The Nanjing massacres. Women were raped and men beheaded. Japan was a ruthless imperial power determined to control and dominate Asia.

The Chinese managed to turn it around in recent years and used the nationalist narratives weaved around those events to reawaken a sturborn strand of Chinese nationalism. Today, in order to prove to everyone that china will never be bullied or dictated to again, either by the Japanese or the British or even the Americans, China teaches every bit of that inglorious past to her kids from primary to tertiary institutions, backing it up with strong technical advancements.

That's why the students are always the first to rise up with heavy protests, whenever Japan tries through subtle means, to water down the gruesome realities associated with those horrendous events. We must do the same in Igbo homeland. Those who went in for a killing expedition in the East, at the behest of the imperialists, just to loot and vandalize, must have their names enshrined in the African hall of Fame.. The young ones must be warned of the treacherous and murderous habits of these Evil neighbors..
PoliticsRe: A Short Igbo Appreciation Thread by Rugaria: 10:22pm On Feb 18, 2022
This is a group of people who lost almost 5 million people from a total population of just 15 million in less than 3 years as a result of a British induced genocide to eliminate them for being obstinate over the resources of the east. Hated for their drive and guts, Nigeria turned the killing of igbos into a national pastime..

Barely 6 years after independence, the same group of people from the North and West that joined the East to fight for independence, went back to the same imperial Britain, to hire them back into the country for the ultimate carnage. In the process, the first black on black genocide, post independence Africa was unleashed.., setting the dangerous template that will be used in places like Uganda, Ethiopia, Sudan, Angola Sierra Leone, Liberia etc.

A people who were so massacred, that almost every family lost a loved one , every structure including churches, markets and hospitals bombed! Chased out of the Army, Police and the civil service and barely allowed to participate in the economy of their socalled country afterwards, yet they're economically better off..

The only people whose property were declared "abandoned property" in their lifetime, their businesses wrecked and savings looted! Taunted and insulted even by the presidents of their own country, nthey never blinked. Totally marginalized and starved of funds while billions stolen from their soil is used to develop elsewhere..

YET..

They came out stronger, bolder and even more daring...
If Nigeria ever did anything to the Igbo man, it's the fact that by perennially haranguing him, the system created a special specie of black man out of him. A specie that is highly competitive, never takes no for an answer and willing to travel to the moon and Mars, just to make things happen!
You have no choice but to salute the god called Igbo!

We will support any Igbo man Ayim or whoever. Any Igbo from South East is Igbo, if the North can support a dead vegetable, we Igbos will and must support our own.
We will not support every Igbo man!
That mentality is exactly why we are where we are today..
Every other section of the country is bringing out their brute, their crook, their most audacious thief, to help them loot the nation in this turn by turn lootocracy and you want to bring out proxy politicians in the East, that are representing foreign interests as the Eastern candidates!? It's counter productive

Saw his interview on AriseTV few days ago....the gentleman just oozed calmness, class and intelligence! I doubt if i’d have remained that calm when talking of the blatant injustice done to Geometric electricity coy by the last administration! Imagine bundling in his already ring-fenced and duly acquired Aba electricity generation and distribution network into the agreement signed with that Emeka Offors’ EEDC!

Now Aba can reach for the skies!
Emeka offor is not even the true owner of that EEDC. The Oraifite fat toad is just holding it down for Namadi Sambo and his Kaduna brothers.

I wish the whole Eastern governors can work with Barth Nnaji to finally sort the power issues in the East. The man knows his onions and is seriously committed to this course. This is the same man that was fired by Jonathan in the height of his political naivety, all in the bid to appease his "northern allies" with the privatization of NEPA. When you fire your best minister just for pecuniary interests, it means you don't know your left from your right..

They started early by using their hired goons to cause violence in the East just to demarket the whole of South East electorally. I wouldn't be surprised if Tinubu and his urchins are involved in the activities of The unknown gunmen in the East. Afterall his internet hoodlums were deployed all over the blogosphere for years now, primarily attacking the East and any major eastern politician.

Nigerias oil sector is the most corrupt, the most abused and the most mismanaged in the whole world.
The level of environmental degradation going on in different oil producing communities is simply criminal. Most of what these oil companies do and get away with here, will land all their top executives in prison elsewhere. The fines for their crimes here is amusing. Elsewhere, they will be paying billions of dollars worth of fines.. Even The courts are hapless and can't force the hands of the big companies to obey the laws. It's sick.
