In Nigeria, and across the social media space of several countries, a photo depicting a cynical looking boy standing next to a woman and giving her ‘the mother of all side-eyes’ has continued to stir hilarious memes and captions, even as social media enthusiasts have continued to raise questions on the boy’s identity and meanings associated with the photo.

The iconic photo dubbed the “Sceptical Third World Child,” has undoubtedly remained one of the world’s famous and most widely shared memes, leaving the BBC Trending to explore the identity of the boy and meanings associated with the picture.
The unidentified boy in the photograph is “wearing dirty clothes and a wry expression, giving the mother of all side-eyes to a woman squatting next to him in the dirt,” said the woman, whom the BBC identified as Heena Pranav.
Pranav is a 28-year-old doctor who lives in Chicago.
According to BBC Trending, this image was originally posted to Reddit three years ago by a man in Texas who spotted the amusing photo on the Facebook page of a friend.
Since then, it’s been copied and captioned in countless hilarious ways on the Nigerian social media space.
The image was said to have been taken when Pranav was a medical student and she had travelled to Gulu, Uganda, on a project where she met the boy at a local market and guessed he was about two or three years old.
“I was with a group of other medical students at the time, we were walking around and I saw this little boy, he seemed really sweet.
“His mom was nearby working in the market. I went up to him to play with him and say ‘hi’… he was the most animated child I’ve ever met,” revealed Pranav.

The boy reportedly didn’t speak English and his encounter with Pranav was captured on camera by another member of the group and shared on Reddit. It eventually went viral making the boy one of the most recognisable faces on the internet.

Kanu, while delivering his address said the Hausa-Fulani has succeeded in planting Rochas Okorocha in Imo State, telling his people not to allow them take other parts of the South South. He said if they are allowed to take the remaining parts of the south east, then the Igbo race is finished as a people.

My dad and I were coming back from office, we saw a police man that stopped us and pleaded to carry him to his check point, my dad being a kind man allowed him in and then told me to come and seat with him at the back seat so the official can seat in the front with the driver. We never got to any check point before the policeman said he’s okay here that he should alight..

We dropped him, then we saw two bullets rolled down from underneath the front seat to my dads leg, we were not conscious, he was like what a pity this man forgot a bullet, we couldn’t turn back and give the bullet back so he took it and threw it out from the window. We got to police checkpoint they stopped us, asked for some particulars, though our gla$$ was tinted they asked for that too, the man checking the particulars insisted it was a stop and search we should come down, then I started thanking God that what if we never found the bullet..

They searched and searched and found nothing they made a signal and one guy went a feet ahead to make a call, came back annoyed then my dad knew what was going on, I’m pretty sure he never thought of the bullet then he said haven’t you searched enough and then they let us go.. That was wen he said did they want to implicate me or what when i was thinking they forgot a bullet..

A team of women's hockey players have done away with their kits and posed naked for a charity calendar.
The 14 sportswomen from Lytham St Annes Hockey Club, in Lancashire, bared all for the shots, which show them playing in the buff to raise funds for the Lytham Sports Foundation.
The ladies, who compete in the first and second teams, can be seen practicing their drills wearing only their pants, whilst other pictures show them starkers in the club house.

The poor girl smoked something that she couldn't handle and before anyone could stop her, she stripped naked and started performing naked at a parked eatery. Instead of the women to cover her up, they poured drinks on her and cheered her on while the men started to touch.
