I mean , what is wrong with having well laid out streets in some greeny neighbourhoods, where the places for apartment blocs are defined, green areas are mapped out and playgrounds for children are built, including school areas?

Having a ring road is good, but a ring road around squalor, is insane.

nigeria states lack city planning. The city planning only works at highbrow areas across major cities in Nigeria. But this particular ring road project in rivers state is very much needed, although the amount for the project is huge.

To those who are hailing Fubara, I will advise that you go back to history and learn. Today some people are shouting and even crying about the election conducted in Edo but I can tell you that Asue should say "otilo" to that election. Just like Fubara, Obaseki conducted LGAs election and PDP won all the LGAs. He thought like any other politicians that winning and controlling the Local Governments in the state will give me the structure needed to win the governorship election for his successor without putting the FG in the equation

Besides, Obaseki erroneously believed that he had defeated the power at the center before during Buhari and that this time around, he would defeat them again. He has forgotten the two things that enabled him have a field day during Buhari. The cabal that did not want Oshiomole to continue to be chairman of APC and Buhari indifference to political struggles in the states of the federation especially when he was not be negatively affected. To make the matter worst, he called the bluff of those who supported him in the legacy PDP against Oshiomole like Wike, Orbhi and others at his own political peril

Unfortunately for Obaseki, Buhari and other haters of Oshiomole in the APC are no longer at the helm of political affairs. He did not ask himself a pertinent question if all he did and went scot-free during Buhari could still be repeated when Buhari is no longer in power. He forgot that the new Sherriff in town hates disloyalty under any guise with passion. He failed to learn from history and now he has bolted away

Fayemi had all his LGA chairmen to his side. The structure was there and very strong. But because Jonathan was not like Buhari, he following the advice and suggestions of his party PDP moved against Fayemi during his re-election. Ekiti state was locked down with thousands of security personnel and all the opposition politicians were barred from entering the State at the eve of his second term election in Ekiti. Some politicians were consigned to house arrest. The ACN/APC did not see it coming and they were so confident that there was no way Fayemi would lose in the state. Despite the so-called structure, Fayose beat Fayemi in all the LGAs. The state government and ACN party shouted but the deed was already completed.

Amaechi also thought with his performance in Rivers he would produce a successor and considering the battle between him and Wike, he also forgot the role Jonathan and PDP played in Ekiti. Amaechi moved to the APC, organised mass rally at the Rivers' state stadium with so many people and even Buhari in attendance for his new party but all to no avail. With the help of Jonathan and his wife, Amaechi's new party APC lost woefully to the federal might. Everyone saw how the the Rivers state Police Commissioner was not taking order from Amaechi but from Wike, Jonathan and his wife

It is really a high sense of political illiteracy and foolishness for anyone or even governor to think that he will beat a party or leader being supported by the federal might to the game. Such can only happen during Buhari and not even under Jonathan that people considered a gentle man.

The most shocking and unbelievable one is Ambode's. He also failed to learn from history. He had an ample time and opportunity to make amend with Tinubu in Lagos but he did not care considering the fact that he was aware that some cabals do not like Tinubu and the he would get the ticket as a sitting governor anyway. He forgot that Tinubu would be ready to put his life on the line for his candidate to govern Lagos state. Ambode learnt in a very hard way

Fubara needs to revisit and learn from history. I may not be right in all of my political forecasts but it will too difficult if not impossible for Fubara to win his second term in office except Fubara and Wike settled their differences or Tinubu and Wike fell apart politically. Nigeria's politics is too crude and dirty for anyone to think that he will win against the federal might. Rivers state will be locked down on the eve of the governorship election in 2027 while some of his supporters will be placed on house arrest as it was done during Jonathan in Ekiti. The winner will emerge and the rest will become history.

My advice is this: Fubara please and please choose your fight wisely. This is not the time of Buhari. A word is enough for the wise. Those who fail to learn from history are bound to repeat it in a painful and saddening manner

In nigeria politics federal might is important especially when you have a strong support base and the sitting governor is not performing well or have issues with the elders of the state. Now in Nigeria politics since 2001 some states have few sets of people calling the shots. E.g Abia State had the kalu family,if the mother no bless you sorry for you, Kwara state saraki family,delta it was james ibori, Adamawa Atiku,Bayelsa is Goodluck Jonathan( PDP will only lose bayelsa state when Goodluck allow it to happen) Even if you win PDP in the polls, the anointed PDP candidate of Goodluck will be sworn in... Most of these people i mentioned above today cant call the shots in their state politics. Except for Goodluck Jonathan he is still powerful in bayelsa state. Rivers state is an open field. Odili wanted to same by installing Omehia but wike/Amaechi thwarted his effort. We thought Goodluck wife was now the new godfather after helping wike to clench the ticket. Same as wike.
In essence when it comes to rivers state the Governor has the sole power, fed might or not. Unless wike will use court to fight back. But on election day wike's candidate come 2027 cant win fubara.
If Sims has one or two stakeholders and most importantly Ateke Tom/ Asari support. Nothing fed govt go do unless they wil send in army to scatter everywhere. Currently Fubara has a full support base across rivers state even in wike's homeland.

The main issue is that there's agreement that Fubara will conduct LGA before the expiration of the present ones and it's expected that the chairmen will be reelected thereby continuing Wike structure from councilorship to state governor but Fubara reneged and wanted to put caretakers.
Wike sensed that Fubara is trying to dismantle his structure from local government level and he plotted his removal by the HOA
Unfortunately, not all the Assembly Members agree like House leader (Ehie) who leaked the plot to Fubara..otherwise, Fubara won't have known until he's removed from office.
The real issue now is..
1. Those former LGA chairmen and others feel that Fubara owes them because naira they work for his election..and now Fubara want to take away their source of livelihood

Biggest lie...Fubara appointed comissioners same day he was sworn in...And they were all wike's ex commissioners and henchmen. It happened that the commissioner for works handling the linkroad project worth N200b wasnt loyal to sims and rather reporting to wike on the project. That was the genesis before other issues came up. 90% of Sims SA were children/relatives to stakeholders loyal to wike. Even wike's brother inlaw was appointed SA to sim.

There are ongoing projects in rivers state and he has been going for inspections. He approved the recruiment of staffs into all state owned higher institutions ( increasing employment rate). Did wike started commissioning many projects 365 days into his first tenure as Governor of Rivers State ?
