Thanks for your complements but are you ready to start. I have given it out already to over 100 persons. But I only need 30 persons to mentor and assist in getting their materials/equipments to start.

If you act fast, you will be among the 30.

Good day. I commend you for your good works. I just saw this now and ready for it. PLEASE kindly send to me. Oghie4oghie@gmail.com

I resigned and started a business. I'm sure I will be thinking of my baby all day at work and lose concentration.

Leaving your child for someone you barely know, you don't know how good their hygiene is, you don't know if they share your baby's stuffs(spoon, cup ,handkerchief etc) ,your kid isn't the only one there so don't expect them to attend to him/her immediately even if the child is hungry or hurting sad.

OK maybe not as bad as I envisioned it grin cheesy but it's a risk I won't take...motherhood is not a small sturvs in Sege's voice.

Thank you again..motherhood is not a small sturvs o! But I will make the best of it smiley

I think she's a first time mum just like me, the thought of leaving your baby at 3 months (the normal maternity leave time) is just HEARTBREAKING true but I guess we'll get used to it (just like you have). I had to resign from work and start a business (the pay wasn't that good self) so I understand the need for the question. Your opinions are both correct.

No need for e-kasala grin grin BTW 5 kids is not a joke TUWALE

Thank you for getting the point

I am a mother of 5 and the 'only one' to reply this post in 3 weeks. That should at least tell you something.

For almost 48 hrs and counting, I have been in my workplace trying to save lives and striving hard to be a mother, wife and also a career woman all at the same time in other to help my hubby provide a better future for my kids and to ensure I lack nothing.

Millions of women do it successfully without their children growing up to be malfunctioned. Surely your child cannot be the only exception!

Does your response now not make better sense than the first?.

I mistakenly sent two threads on this topic and people responded more to the first thread, so know that it was not ignored, i simply ommited the content of this one. So yppou probably didn't get the fact of the message. Some mothers offered suggestions and directed me to another thread.

So now I'm only wondering why a mother of five would have sounded unsympathetic to the plight of another mother who happens to be new in the game and only needed some form of assurance from older mothers?!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should I Take Her Job by rully2: 12:07pm On Aug 18, 2017
Hmmm...its a tricky one. Talk it out with your friend, try to find out fyom her the real reason why she was laid off and make it clear to her your stance on the whole thing.

If its nothing personal with the boss and she does not take offence if you replace her, you could take it. Personally if I were your friend I wouldn't take offence, except you have a plan B for another job.

Your question is a bit confusing considering that it makes no sense. What happens when your kid needs to start school? Will you follow her to school then to avoid being separated from him or her?

Considering you are the only one who thinks such question is confusing or makes no sense, you should have just kept quiet!

Are you a mother?!

I dropped my baby in the creche at 3months plus close to my office while I go to breast feed her by 12 and return to the office

At one year 2month I keep her in a creche close to the house because stress was telling on both of us. Thanks to God for 7months that I have been keeping her there, there has not been complaints.

Sis, commit everything into God's hand, he will watch over our angel, make sure you provide her with all she needs, return before the deadline, care for her caregiver, let them know you'll come a bit late and make provision for that. Above all pray and trust God to keep her.

Don't forget to investigate the creche, don't be in haste to drop her in any creche, pray and be observant when you go to make enquiry, ask questions, survey the environment.

Thanks a bunch. #whew!

Got an invite from Oakfield Schools.
Any info on their working conditions will be appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation

Why don't you just prepare and go for the interview? You should be thankful you got one or isnt that why you applied in the first place. Its about time you guys stop all these questions about work conditions and all. If you really need a job you'll find out yourself.

FYI. Oakland is a Good school

Welcome on board.
- Expect some separation anxiety in the first 2 weeks.
- visit the place and have a conversation with the proprietress.
- Confirm the child to teacher ratio.. anything more than 1:5 for toddlers is too much ie 1 minder should not have more than 5 toddlers to look after.
- Confirm there is a sleeping area
- Check for toilet system; this will tell you if potty training will be effective
- A general look at the environment will tell if it is child friendly
- Ask as many questions as possible; how they ensure she is safe and protected, ask everything!
- Ensure to have a separate bag for change of clothes (at least 2 pairs), diapers, wipes, cream powder and comb
- Please make simple hairstyles.. don't use beads pls! It is a safety hazard..
- Also ensure to spend time with her when you are back home each day. This gives children comfort
- Keep to a strict sleeping routine. It will help you have a confident and well rested child in the morning. My children must sleep by 9pm daily. After school, my son plays outdoor for a while then watches tv till 8pm. Once it's 8pm, no more tv. Takes his bath, eat a meal and prepare to sleep. Wakes up by 6am, brushes his teeth, takes his bath, gets dressed and eats breakfast before we set out.

For her lunch pack, try to put what she is comfortable eating at home. Don't try out new foods as her lunch pack meals. When my son started, I add a "proper" meal (rice, spaghetti, noodles, plantain, eggs etc)., a drink (water, ribena, caprisonne etc), a fruit (orange, banana, apples etc,), an extra meal (cereals, sandwich, biscuits) and a bottle of tea. I still continue this way and it has been working for me.

I hope this helps. You will surely be fine. smiley

Thank you so much for taking the time. Your detailed information surely did help kiss kiss

Here we are rully2,ask sabi mamas all your questions and they'll help as much as they can.

Thank you so much for the trouble. I appreciate.

Dear mothers, I am a first time mom with a cute daughter of about 14 months. I will be needing to go back to work. Its inevitable at the moment. So I was hoping to get some suggestions and tips on handling this cos I am scared and worried to death, just the thought of her being out of my sight alone is scary.

I plan on enrolling her in a day care. Please kindly share what I should look out for, what I should expect and all and how she can stay safe and protected. Please any tip and suggestions will be highly welcomed. Thank youl

Hello great NL moms. This thread is for working moms who inevitably have to work and be separated from their babies at a very tender age, some as early as 3months cry cry

How did u cope or are you coping?? I am a first time mom with a 15months cute baby girl. I had to stop working even before she was born to prepare well for her coming and I have not gone back to work ever since because I want to play my part in the best way possible. Now due to personal family issues beyond me I need to return to work meaning I would need to enrol my child in a daycare.

I am scared to death!!! I need some tips and inspirations from mothers who are or have been in this situation. I want to hear the best and the worst. I need to know what to look out for when fixing her in a daycare, how to protect my baby girl even in my absence, how to ensure she is protected from abusers and how to cope with the anxiety of working an 8-6 job while your little one is away in the care of another embarassed embarassed

Please do not judge or preach about how i should personally care for my child at home, like a lot of other mothers out there I would have if I could but sadly this is the only option I have for now.

What are you guys even saying?! A minor has been molested and you are here discussing who should or should not go with who! Do you know the gravity of this!!!

Your sister better match hard and fast to that school with or without her husband tagging along. And as for the husband is it not his child??! I know for some men all hell would have been let loose. Your child's interest and wellbeing first!
