Basenjis don't bark, they have curled tails, and they are a distinct breed.
Years of mix breeding probably brought about the popular dog in this our locality (I referred to as NSD)

What many fail to consider is that dogs can be breed deliberately by crossing and mix breeding. Maybe that's how we got the NSD. Just like the Whippet is from the greyhound line,...

you haven't read enough about the basenji when you do you will know that they don't bark and only look similar to our local dogs but are not. they are called mongrels for a reason basenji is a distinct breed.

As I was chasing the sheep a dog ran after me, a very big, tall, slim and brindle colour dog with an angry look, it bark was As if thunder strike and I stopped chasing the sheep and change toward another direction but these dog kept chasing me. as I was running I used my sniper eyes to sight a house without fence and the mosquito net door was torn remaining the wooden part. I started to calculate how I was going to accelerate and dive into the house. finally as I got close to the house I pass my mathematics calculation by finally diving in into the house.As I dive in the house, I landed in their parlour I saw the peaceful family eating. when the hausa man ask me what happened, all I could say was "dog, dog,dog......". the man finally chase the dog and told his elder son to take me home.

If I take one of these dogs and feed it the way im feeding my current dogs, you will not recognize it after a few weeks

the only way a pit can look good is when it is conditioned and feeding cannot give you a conditioned Pitt there is more to owning dogs than feeding.
