Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate.
First time having a pure boerboel litter though, don't know if trying that out is safe
it is quite easy but since you are having doubts you can ask someone around you that has done it before.

my dog... JUJUH... 4 months+...

her ear doesn't want 2 stand completely.. she is a GSD .....

guys help me out.. when JUJUH is inside d compound, she starts feeling like a super dog ,making lot of noise but once u take her outside ,it just like u are with a different dog... she will just loose all confidence and become fearful.... although ppl fear her on the road but 2 me I can see she is just scared of them....
I don't know wat 2 do... recently I started taking her out frequently...

Pls profs in d house help me out
do it gradually instead of taking her far out you can just take her to front of your gate and let her spend time there with time you can go farther or start by taking her out in the night so she can familiarise her self with the outside world

Hibiscus

Alright, one of my favourites! We all know this flower, but did you know that scholars say that this flower is most likely called the "Rose of Sharon" in the Bible? Because roses don't grow around the hot Arab area but these are in profusion everywhere.

They come in every colour under the sun. You can plant them easily from cuttings and they like Sun and plenty of water. In fact, the ones we have in Delta state are ginormous compared to the ones growing here in Lagos. I took cuttings from a pink one in festac and planted it outside the family home and it really grew. Then my mum had it cut down because they were "disturbing her lemongrass plant". Thanks mum angry

They don't do well as a bouquet mix because they need water, so plop a few in a vase with water for a centrepiece. But they won't last longer than a day. Random colours like blue and black are usually modified plants and you may not see them here in Nigeria.
I have only seen purple

Royal or Flamboyant Poinciana

If you grew up in Benin city or Ife, you should know this tree! It's name is the Dexonia Regia or Flame Tree (I was erroneously told it was "flame of the forest" as a child, that's not true because that tree is another specie native to colder climes). Stunning for its deep red flowers, it also had these seed pods that would fall on the ground and we would call them "Devil beans" and say they were scratchy to the skin grin
It's very much a tropical tree and in fact, certain Christians of India believe it was growing nearby where Christ was crucified and that his blood shed on the tree and gave it the gorgeous red colours.
I remember this from secondary school.

let's start by identifying some popular flowers and plants we see daily, feel free to join in.

IXORA COCCINEA

Also known as Jungle Geranium or Flame of the Woods. We all know this one (I'm sure several of us pulled out the stall from the flower to suck the juice at the bottom as kids. It's a beautiful shrub plant that comes in flower colours like red, yellow, orange, pink and white. A lot of gardeners use it as a hedge plant. It likes Sun and can be potted as well. It looks lovely in a table centrepiece. A lot of the different parts of the plant is used in Ayuverdic lifestyles in India and Asian subcontinent. Try it in a floral arrangement for your home today, add water to a vase and cut diagonally down the stem, very colourful.
we suck this one tire for secondary school.

There's one incident I'll always remember and my siblings still laugh at me until today whenever I talk about flowers.

Once when we were younger, we were taking a walk and I saw a bush of flowers that I couldn't just resist. I went close to the shrub and proceeded to pick some only to discover that I'd stepped on someone's poo. embarassed cry
I wonder who'd chose to poo there of all places.
Some mighty stinky poo. Mehn. I stank all the way home before I could wash it off my sandals. (And their laughter didn't make things any better.)
Even after bathing I still felt like I was smelling.

It's funny now. grin
But that day, it wasn't funny to me at all.
hahahaha

WhY & What Makes this NelSon ManDeLA Who he is, why is he a LeGend? If our politicians think Mandela is as great as they have been shouting why cant they emulate Nelson Mandela in leadership, simplicity and service to the people? While Mandela died in his country, South Africa many of our politicians die abroad except when they die in an accident.Mandela was hospitalized and treated in a South African hospital throughout his health challenge while our leaders prefer to go to foreign hospitals to treat common headache.Mandela died a contented man and not a wealthy man. He did not own any diamond mine, private jet, bullet proof vehicle whereas our politicians are fighting themselves over our oil blocs and our national treasury. Mandela did not worship money. He surrounded himself with the love of the people. Mandela was not known to be religious. He never attended any Holy Ghost service or any special religious convention. He served God through service to humanity, forgiveness and love for his neighbour. Our politicians have many spiritual leaders praying for them yet their ways are not right with the people they claim to serve. God is not mocked. He sees the hearts of all men. Shame on all Nigerian leaders shedding crocodile tears and paying tributes to a great man like Nelson Mandela. Pay tribute to him by emulating his leadership style. Mandela believed its better to lead from behind and to put others in front. All we are asking is for the leaders to do like Nelson Mandela. Fix our hospitals, give the masses quality education, give us good roads, lead by example. All we are asking is, fix Nigeria. Please share until it gets to our good-for-nothing politicians who are stealing us blind.
this is a wonderful post I'm surprised there are no comments.

Thanks. He is very destructive though. He chewed the washing machine cord, drags clothes off the washing line and sweeps the compound with them (I've had to wash my towel twice this week), chewed the plastic bowl for bailing water, chewed the legs off the bench outside, and just this evening he has scattered the broom for sweeping the compound. I mean, he took the broom and dismantled it completely. The compound is a mess.

He has murdered the wastebin outside. The gutter is filled with trash, uprooted the curry plant, dismembered the mop handle, ripped to shreds the packet of detergent left outside and so many countless acts of random destruction. The painful thing is that he does these wickedness when nobody is looking.

I don't understand. Beauty, Ruggedman and Innocent were never this destructive. We're are at a loss on how to control him.
he needs to burn out his energy

a dog cannot save you only God can, most dogs will run and hide under extreme pressure especially if untrained which is very common among Nigerians.

The sad thing is to find a reliable GSD now is close to impossible also. Too much of health issue and poor nerves are in this generation breeding. One of the reasons I stayed loyal to my Malinois is because of the superior health advantage.
most people breed for looks nowadays especially in Nigeria.

I almost forgot your question lol, I got a tape yesterday and took the measurement this evening.

Gustaf is 2.1ft by width, I also tried measuring the length but Gustaf wouldn't keep calm, he nearly damaged the tape so i left him for good cheesy

I have no idea how measurements(length) are taken in dogs, maybe someone should give me a clue!

will you call a saplaniac a Caucasian because they look alike? the difference is clear basenji don't bark and have curled up tails like pigs which is not so with our local dogs.
