please put on your thinking cap, read the constitution and stop this rubbish. Nigeria was created in 1914 through amalgamation. the area called Jada was under Cameroon then. it only became part of Nigeria through plebiscite in 1961.
in the case of Biafra, Nigeria has never and will never accepted any part of it to be called Biafra. so in Nigeria, it never existed.
but many independent countries recognised biafra as a country then. Nigeria need not because they are at war.

hahahahahahahahahaha,
you don't really know what you are saying.
biafra was never part of cameroon,
so all biafra both within and outside the shore of Nigeria that were born before 1960 or after 1960 can contest for Nigeria president.
oga what I'm saying is, between 1967-1970 south east was not part of nigeria(it was biafra).
does it mean that anyone born within that territory around that period is not a Nigerian by birth.
Secondly, zik,awo etc that were born before independence, are they Nigerians or Britons.
Mind you Jada have never been ruled under Cameroon
Rather it was administered under Britain as at when atiku was born.
Kindly clear me on all this Mr Apc

NgeneUkwenu:
For the brainless IPOB miscreants here, who have been going about doing copy and paste from God knows where about APC's reply to Atiku Petition.

Let me school you a bit here:

1. Atiku is a Citizen of Nigeria.

2. Nobody is contesting his Citizenship and that of his Jada People of Adamawa.

3. What are the ways one can become a citizen of Nigeria?
a) BY BIRTH
B) BY REGISTRATION
C) BY REFERENDUM
D) BY NATURALIZATION

4) Out of above methods, it is only a person who becomes a CITIZEN By BIRTH Is Qualified To Contest for the Office Of The President.

5. Can Atiku and His Jada Cameroon vote and be voted for? Yes because they are Citizens of Nigeria by Referendum.

6) Can they ( Atiku and Jada Brothers) contest and be voted for up to the post of the Vice Presidency? YES because the Constitution paved way for them?

7. The question is: Did Atiku fulfill the Constitutional requirements to contest for the post of the president?

8 . The Answer is what the APC wants the Appeal court to determine, because one of the requirements is that you MUST A Citizen By BIRTH To Qualify.

9. That you are citizen of Nigeria by other means such as Referendum, Naturalization, Registration etc can only take you the office of the Vice President and not that of the President according to the 1999 Constitution we operate.

What is hard here to understand?
you people have divided this nation to the worst..... It will soon bumeran

The Oracle Abdul Mahmud haff vex. Read him:

The claim about Atiku being a non-Nigerian is pretty silly. Only those who have no sense of history make such a silly claim. I once addressed this issue and I don't intend to address it here again, beyond stating the obvious implications of the ahistorical and unconstitutional claim, as follows:

1) if you're are anywhere from the southern tips of the highlands of Taraba, and Adamawa, including Michika and the surrounding communities, YOU ARE NOT A NIGERIAN;

2) If you are from southern Borno, including the historical Dikwa Emirate, and anywhere extending far deep into Yobe , YOU ARE NOT A NIGERIAN;

3) If you are an indigene of any of the places referred to above and you voted in any of the towns stated above, YOUR VOTE IS VOID;

4) If you are from any of the 23 LGAs that are parts of Borno state, YOU ARE AN ALIEN because your community, indigenous to Northern Cameroons, only joined Nigeria following the February 1961 plebiscite.

We can't all be equally yoked to the stupidity of those who make such horrendous claim, so we must stick to the historical and constitutional truths:

a) The people of northern Cameroons were never part of the Republic of Cameroun. Never. They were until 1961 trusteeship subjects of the UN.

b) The people of northern Cameroons are citizens of Nigeria by virtue of Section 10 of the 1963 Republican Constitution- Special Provisions on Northern Cameroons;

c) That communities in Taraba, Yobe and Borno are pre-colonial communities whose existence predates the European scramble for Africa. Take Dikwa in Borno for example that has existed for almost a century, but which came under Arab-Sudanese, later German and British controls, and subsequently part of Northern Cameroons till it joined Nigeria in 1961, via a referendum.

So you know: the people of Southern Cameroons, AKA Republic of Ambazonia, are today fighting for their independence and I hope the stupidity of a few will not force communities of northern Cameroons- now parts of Taraba, Borno and Yobe - to renew the historical agitation for the independence of northern Cameroons.

To be fore-warned...
