Why don't you try Java and XML, and Swift for Android and iOS app respectively.
JavaScript, HTML and CSS for web interaction on the web.

Or in other programming languages

Programming / Re: ATM Machine Programming Language. by Runningwater(m): 11:15am On May 11, 2020
Atm machines are just normal desktop computers, the ATM itself is just a software installed on the desktop which controls all the hardware nd stuffs. Hence, the ATM software can be built with almost any programming language that can talk to hardware..even python, java, c# e.t.c
But it's better when built with programming languages close to machine code( low level language) like C, Embedded C etc
Programming / Re: ATM Machine Programming Language. by Runningwater(m): 11:12am On May 11, 2020
JackOfAllTrades:
ATM has no programming language
ATM has no special OS (most of them run windows xp)
Yes, it runs on Windows is but it's also built using embedded C.

Welcome to the club fam, instead of trying to replicate Facebook lite, why don't you pick up small projects to start with?
I have some projects ideas to implement though but I'm still learning. I started early February but I've not continue since March started. I left my laptop at my hostel in school can't go get it for now.
I like create a file sharing app between PC and smartphone

Hello devs. My name is Remilekun also knows as Cyberwizard. I develop android apps as well as windows software.

Here are few of my already published apps.

1. KOMMAND helps you control your PC using your mobile phone.

2. Kpopular - a social network app for Kwara state university students.

3. Marlian ID - I wrote this app in few hours, I was less busy and needed to code badly.

PS: there are other apps I'm working on that are not meant for the general public, these apps are meant for The client's use only.

I'll attach some screenshots, feel free to post your apps and what it does.
Nice one Remilekun!!!!! I'm still learning android programming. But I'm trying create Facebook lite app for practice. Different UI though. That's just the early development

I would advise you to know which area of coding is hot. Web development is okay but I think data analysis with python pays more. If you want app development, you can learn Java. But go for python is the hottest selling skill now.
Sorry to say, do you think data analysis with Python pays in NIGERIA without University degree. I was studying electrical electronic engineering in my state polytechnic (Delta State)
before covid 19 but I'm actually taking a course in edX(Analyzing data with Python). If it pays, please I need insights.

I want to commend what you are Doing here, it will really go a long way in helping python programmers that look down on this little excersis.
Why Nigeria programmers don't get good jobs is because the over look all this small excersis ,there is a lot of Nigeri professional programmers who cannot write a simple syntax that will evaluate the root of a quadratic equation.
You're right... Solving programming problems increases problem solving skills. It shows whether you can implement the problem in a programming language.

I'm confused, the exercise said ACCEPT input from user. Isn't it like this?

def dateFun( currentDate, currentMonth, currentYear):
currentDate= int(input("Enter today's date: \n" )
currentMonth=int(input ("Enter today's month like 1 for January, 2 for February and so on: \n " )
currentYear=int(input("Enter current year: \n" )
message=currentDate,"/",currentMonth,"/",currentYear
return message
