Business / Re: FOREX And Politics, The Politics Of FOREX $1= 1,300 Is PROPAGANDA by Russi: 9:34am On Mar 29
Yep, some market makers who have sold at highs.... are now using propaganda to make people sell dollars while they buy back into the market....... They will then press media buttons again and TAKE Naira to 2K/$1 and will continue until they are tired

We need real things in economy not just hype. The News Bites are now obvious

I will save in dollars when cash enters hand

Business / FOREX And Politics, The Politics Of FOREX $1= 1,300 Is PROPAGANDA by Russi: 5:48am On Mar 29
I have been very happy to see the dollar weaken against the naira. However, after a lot of research and analysis, it is clear that media houses have been paid to spin the news. Specifically Legit.ng, The Nation Newspaper, TVC. You will hear DAILY SHARP HEADLINES such as Naira Jumps. Naira flies higer, Dollar collapses, Dollar drops rapidly etc etc ..... Its is obviouly media campaign which is great.

Can any one else see this media propaganda?

Drop any pattern or titles you have noticed

I've observed with interest the recent reports highlighting the naira's strengthening against the dollar. Yet, upon closer inspection and analysis, it seems that certain narratives might not be entirely spontaneous but rather part of a concerted media effort. Notably, platforms like Legit.ng, The Nation Newspaper, and TVC have featured headlines that might suggest an overly optimistic view on the currency situation. Phrases like "Naira Jumps," "Naira flies higher," "Dollar collapses," and "Dollar drops rapidly" seem to frequently headline their financial news sections.

This pattern of reporting raises questions about the potential orchestration behind these narratives, suggesting a media campaign aimed at painting a certain picture of the economic situation. It's intriguing to consider the dynamics at play and whether these media messages are fully reflective of the market realities or if they lean towards a form of media propaganda.

Has anyone else noticed similar patterns or headlines in their news consumption? I'm curious to hear about any specific titles or recurring themes you've come across that might align with this observation.

I have added examples from one notorious blogger:

Politics / Re: Why It Is Dangerous To Speculate On NGN/USD by Russi: 11:52am On Jan 28
Let me as a Master of Finance help you! The Naira cannot be propped up with propaganda and threats from efcc. You should know that these Lagos boys are streetwise. So every time they give out threats, they are secretly shorting the market. Once dollar drops even 100naira they rush to buy up again. Within days the dollar bounces even higher, and they cash out and wait for another cycle.

Permanent improvement will take years of genuine productivity and exports. No country is bringing $billions as touted by the government! Tinubu cannot keep defending the naira with the few dollars available.

Finally, no investor will be comfortable with a developing economy that artificially manipulates their currency!

Birdbyrde440:
I started experimenting with cryptocurrencies as early as 2016 I was browsing one day and I saw a bitcoin add, it immediately rang a bell in my head I said to myself "this is the future " lol I dug in deeper only to find out that it was so expensive around 200k per bitcoin and I couldn't afford it but I kept checking it, reading about it I was in school so there was no way on earth I was going to risk money like 200k on bitcoin because what if it crashed? Long story short, I found ethereum and litecoin they were relatively cheaper. By the end of the semester of 2016 I bought 0.33 ethereum. I will never forget. It was like 1k or so. I left it till January of 2017 or 2018 when I came back to naija and casually checked my crypto account and voila! My 1k had risen to 33k! I taught it was a joke internet money, I converted it on my phone and drove to the bank gtbank atm and withdrew it. Right there in front of the bank the Holy ghost descended on me. I became a bitcoiner! Since then I have lost money(one time i sent $70 to the wrong address) , I have also gained millions(in 2021 my crypto holdings grew from $200+ to $18,000) I witnessed bitcoin drop from $15k to $3k. Ethereum dropped to 90$. That day I bought 1 full ethereum at the height of covid. I'm a cryptoMaster. You best believe it!

From my experience in watching crypto and what Tinubu did recently, he was able to crash the price of the naira from N1200 to N800. If you didn't learn something from that then you are dull. The LESSON THERE IS THAT TINUBU CONTROLS THE BLACK MARKET RATES. At any time he can cut that rate to match the official rate and you will see some speculators even bureau de change bosses crying that they lost money. They lost money because they are greedy, foolish and illiterate. If you don't have a degree in economics, finance, international economics and geo-politics or atleast have a deep understanding of these areas, don't speculate on anything because you will lose out. Be a good citizen and keep your money in the bank.[/b]

Trying to believe this fake story where strangers sleep together in the living room of a house full of kids and a smart sister who runs the house.

This smart ex-bf sister asks you to sleep in same room with your ex?

You must've had no plans to do anything else but fx.

daylay7:
I was in love with this guy so much that we do everything together. Aside from the fact that we share the same goals, religion put us far from each other. He was a muslim and I, a christian. I loss my virginity to him (we were both naive in that practice anyway). My parents forbid me and we drifted apart but I loved him still.

I met another guy afterward who shares the same belief with me and we got married three years later. Infact, my ex came for the wedding and celebrated me even during the reception( my husband already know his story and was not surprised when he saw him at the wedding).

A year after the birth of my son, I had an official assignment in another location where my ex's sister resided and because I could not complete the assignment that day, I decided to sleep over at her place. But on getting there, I saw my ex sitting in the living room. It was already late as at that time and I couldn't go back or book for a hotel and I decided to chilled out, telling myself that nothing must happen between us that day. undecided My greatest mistake!

The apartment was just 3 bedroom. A master bedroom for the sister, a room for the children and the other for a visitor. Now we are having two visitors who once shared a thing for each other. cry My ex invited me into the room but I declined telling him I would rather sleep on the floor in the living room or he should bring a matrass for me. He brought the mattress in the visitors room into the living room and we both slept on it. One thing led to another in the middle of the night.... cry cry cry cry cry . And it happened! Coincidentally, my husband called at that time. I had to switched off my phone.

When I got back home the next day, I apologized to my husband that I had a flat battery and he didn't say anything but my husband never looked at me the same again. He never quarreled or said anything even after couple of years later. But the way he talks sometimes as if he kws I am hiding a secret from him and he wants me to open up to him. My fear is that if I should open up, I might lose my marriage and my family. What happened between my ex and I was a one time thing. I never went back or saw him again. It has been 10 years now and I am still feeling bad about it especially when he talked about cheating couple.

This feeling is eating me up. I don't know if I should still open up to him or I should forever remain silent about it....

[/size]Let's be very honest here. POINTS.
Hmmm, a Yahoo and badguy that cannot locate an intimate partner who he knows the family to their roots sounds like nollywood only. However we analyse,...

1) A child you tried very very hard to KILL (abort) because of your selfishness.

2) A child you didn't offer support to the mother when she was pregnant.

3) A child you didn't support at labour or birth.

4) A child you didn't pat foe pampers, milk, baby food, formula or even golden morn.

5) A child you never supported to nursery and primary school.

6) A child of convenience (only remembered bc you think money is everything)

Guy, continue to watch from afar. You can send money for upkeep bc that's what you're good for.

Many guys in nairaland will feel pity for the Yahoo irresponsible fellow bc they identify with him.. So If you identify with him consciously or unconsciously realise that there's something wrong with you.

7) Yes the girl claimed the child MAY be yours, but it's only her imagination for now.

I really hope they get in touch someday. They can jointly decide on what to do. But it doesn't have to be you in-between.

On the other hand TRUTH IS BITTER BUT NECESSARY!

The adults ALL deserve to know the truth. How they handle it is another discussion. The Oil guy will likely protect his wife's daughter bc by now he's really fond of her and lives her innocently.

This is best handled by A PROFESSIONAL MEDIATOR. He will speak separately with the Yahoo guy and the mother. Then they will meet to agree on some helpful plan. Then the mediator will break the news to the husband in an expertly manner, maybe over weeks drip...drip...drip!

There will then be uncertainty. The husband will consult Wise family and friends and maybe religious leaders.

These advisors will generally suggest he be wise, careful and sensitive. A few will day he kick the mother out immediately.

He will likely not kick her out bc of the other children but the relationship will never be the same and it is perfectly okay if it doesn't return to as usual bc it was built on lies anyway.

The next step is for the man to have the others kids DNA tested. The professional colleagues will insist on this because he cannot rely on ger words any more. Even if they are splitting images if him, he'll be suspicious until he gets scientific confirmation. He will no longer trust his emotions.

Note that he MIGHT already have known she was "wayward" (but just because she had a bf doesn't conclude she way wayward)...
