Nope I would rather u used this opportunity to tell me how on earth u look at both Soweto and langata and u even dare compare. For starter Soweto has an incredible land scaping and quality road network and let’s not forget to add better looking and neatly arrange buildings (street shops ,residential,leisure and recreation). U langata is just the same old story-dusty,poor quality roads with hideous buildings arranged poorly on both side. U should watch more of that bloggers video on Soweto-he is a Kenyan and very objective in my view-he talked s out how Soweto looks better than 90% of anywhere he has e de visited in kenya(yet its presumed as slum)

All the best. Python is pretty solid. But I would advice you go for modern things - I am fullstack myslelf - and you look you're into backend - get into stuff like elixir, go, elang - in addition to Python - which again is pretty solid but NOT SEXY. The software backend is moving into crazy multithreading world with zero downtime. Invest in learning fuctional languages. Learn and understand devopps. Then move to infrastructures..kubernetes and scalling. imagine yourself running system with 99.9999% where any downtime will be like facing HR for firing session. This where you make money because every second if say mobile money system goes down...it billions of money.`...and even statement by CEOS with gov.

8Km squared is like 4km by 2km. If your were to construct 100kms...on such a piece of land....you need to run 4kms divided 2km (to get the interval - 2,000 meters divided by interval you like - say for example you want run a road every 100m - 2,000/100 = 20 times) - therefore 20*4 =80km.

Therefore to build 80kms of road....you need to run more than 100M in parrallel - if it's mesh - then you double the figure - so you can build a mesh of 160km - running every 100m.

Now squeeze 14,000kms of road there... (14,000kms/40*x)*2 - now find X.

That is what I just did. 40 by 40 is 1600kms squared.. Now if you do a mesh - 14,000kms - would mean a road every 10 meters. That is possible if you include inner roads...a typical plot is probably is 15m by 30meters...so pretty impossible....even if every plot was freestanding

How can joburg have 14K major arterties..don't be ridicolous..40km you're in pretoria. To get 40Km running into 14,000...that is almost 7,000 - 40kms road...that would mean for joburg entire area of 1,600kms - that almost 40 by 40km - we would need 40,000/7000 - almost a major road running 40km every 5 meters.

14,000kms is only possible if you measure the roads right into the people garages and driveways.

In kenya nobody goes measuring the paved inner estate roads in our estates; they are private roads; that I think is what you count in south Africa. What is counted are major highways and arteries.

Otherwise there is no way Joburg can have 14,000 km major arteries.

Inner roads - estate roads - Nairobi has about in my view 80-90% of it paved - except in slums and such areas.

What impresses you about Joburg? In terms of skyscrappers, highrises and apartments - Nairobi already overtook it - if you consider those under construction - and planned.

What Joburb beat Nairobi is on road infrastructure - Nairobi is on massive expansion now (Nairobi expressway, western by-pass, James Gichuru-rironi road)- those 3 roads plus few minors alone are worth 1.5B dollars plus coming online by End of Year-we need just few more roads- before we are on south africa levels joburg level. Another 1.5B dollars investment - and we will be at Joburg level. If Nairobi expressway toll road become a success - Chinese will invest massively on Nairobi roads - and we can fix our road infrastructure in 2-3yrs max - a few major highways dualized - and expanded into super highways with interchanges.

We have functional light rail - Nairobi commuter rail - we need to modernize it to be like Gautrain. Another 1-2B dollars - and we will beat or be at Joburg level.

We got BRT on two major roads to be completed this year!

Nairobi right now is on massive paving on walkways - and non-motorized roads.

Then we have Affordable Housing Programme - that will regenerate Nairobi Soweto like housing into Singapore like Mass Cheap Housing - Beating SOUTH AFRICA TO A BULB IN 5 years.

I can predict Nairobi will definitely match Joburg in 5 yrs - and definitely overtake it by 2030.
