You think we can allow nigeria pest to come soil our country. Vlain:
|
Develop Nigeria - otherwise you're akin to human pest whenever you're. Here you're kissing South Africa a.rse but where is NIGERIA the zoo - and how is it making progress to get to South Africa level. At least Kenya is trying. Vlain: |

How peaceful when I hear Nigeria thugs run your city. Nairobi has pretty tough neighberhood - and police have to be tough. Innocent people can report police excess to the Police Oversight Commission. Just30: |
Nigeria Ambassador main job in any country is to visit foreign prisons and deal with Nigerian issues from there. gallivant: |
Which book - police kills black thugs in their number and send them to prison in millions - society cannot tolerate crime and propser. Ask Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. Just30: |
Yes, I remember the sissies arguing with Nigerians on the Or Tambo airport, threatening they will deport all nigerians. Nigerians were standing their ground. Kenya men - police have no time for negotiation. Kenya police parades the slums and the tough neigberhood in Nairobi like boss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOjYnSAAcnQ gallivant: |
Yes Kenya police have very good intelligence network; and they track those thugs; they really have no hope. Those who end up in prison are the lucky ones. Most are 18-21 kids - and they get culled. As for corruption - Ghana's Jerry Rawling tried that - he tried to cull the Ghana elite - there is mixed reaction from Ghanians how that went.Yes white collar crime is as equally destructive - but violent criminal deserve to be treated violently. White collar deserved to be treated with white gloves by lawyers and judges. leQubit: |
Precisely. I got shocked that Hillbrow is the worse part of Joburg. Not because it's a slum like the shackman Soweto. But because criminals - foreign nigerians - have been allowed to take over the middle of the city. Who died? gallivant: |
They are religious sissies who double up as criminals. Too soft for Kenya. The life of a criminal in kenya is VERY SHORT AND BRUTISH. Rarely do they get 25 yrs. Maybe those who start crime late. I don't think you can last 3yrs in kenya as criminal. leQubit: |
The police are very corrupt in kenya - white collar corrupt - sometimes they engage in crime - but generally we have managed to keep crime and terrorism down using some part of managed EJK. Those cults and sects in Nigeria and Ghana - they will not last few months in Kenya. We had one called Mungiki - the police extrajudicially killed 500 of them - Unfortunately this is part of the history which we inherited from the British - who used extrajudicial killings - to deal with Kenya Armed Struggle for Independence. This has become a model to deal with insurgencies and guerilla warfare. Kenya police - that was British old police doing all killings - just continued - but generally they keep the public support by always almost killing the bad guys. You cannot play by the book with terrorist's (ask US about Quantamo bay) or violent criminals. Just30: |
I really pity Nigerians who come to Kenya to do crime. They will cry real tears. Kenyans are very tough. Yes if they stick to white collar crime - they can do Yahooo Yahoo - nobody cares. But violent crime with guns or knifes...they will be dispatched to Nigeria via hell the same day. leQubit: |
Yes - MTN are solid - but will proud Ethiopians really stand the BOER - I really doubt.Randlord: |
White collar criminals - we don't have a big problem with that - but violent criminals - terrorist - zero tolerance. Just30: |
When it come to thugs - I think kenya as whole has zero tolerance for that - we make robbery with any violence - a capital offence! We cannot become another south africa - although we have many poor people.Police normally post warning to thugs before they either get shot or killed - and body thrown in game park or in rivers. Nobody really protest - not human rights in kenya - not opposition - Because the thugs can be violent and nasty Police run social media with precise warning before they do it. When thugs hear HESSY WA DANDORA OR HESSY WA KAYOLE OR BLACKEST WINDOW they run - their days are literally on borrowed times. mhkent:

Kenya society just refuse to allow criminals to run over our cities like it's done in South Africa and West Africa. Kenya police are very lenient. Kenyans are worse. They just lynch you on the spot. Most thugs prefer the police than mob justice - at least police gives them warning Just30: |
People don't protest because the police normally do a thorough job of vetting those to be EJK. Rarely do you hear of an innocent person who was extrajudicially shot. EJK in kenya is for violent thugs, terrorist and even notorious cattler rustlers - you will disappear. Kenya constitution esp the new one allows criminals basically freehand to continue with crime - while their case is being heard. So you find one criminal has 10 active robbery with violence cases. Murder suspect in kenya are also bailable...so you find somone has killed people...and is out there continuing with crime. Yes most of those who get killed are from slums - and lower class areas - eastland of Nairobi. They normally are given a chance to disappear from Nairobi - and it doesn't happen they get EJK, This what keep crime in Nairobi and Kenya down. These 4 criminals are latest to be taken down - https://nation.africa/kenya/counties/kajiado/without-a-trace-families-pain-as-four-men-vanish-after-lunch--3376502 The police killer squad normally post the warning on social media - before they go for them. Great. Why are south african police unable to deal with crime and drugs. Kenya criminals have no hope. There is just a long tradition of allowing police to extrajudicially execute criminals if they don't get lynched by public. I'd say Nairobi crime has really gone down. AfriqueDuZuid: |
The worse in infrastructure - or in drugs, insecurity. This US inner city-suburb kind of dichotomy that is happening in your country. AfriqueDuZuid: |
But vodacom is still majority own by Vodafone(65%). So you can say out of 35% ownership of Safaricom - 22% almost is owned by Vodafone (Brits) - and only 12% by South Africans public. AfriqueDuZuid: |
It will - Safaricom is backed by 5 partners including Vodafone. MTN by I think only by Chinese. Ethiopia are interested in Mobile Money - M-pesa. Randlord: |
Arrant nonsense from ignorant Bonobo. Kenya telcom has 60% Safaricom; 30% Airtel:10% Telkom; When it come to mobile money - MTN has 90% plus - and Safaricom has 95% - same issues - except for Ghana - You don't own MTN. Kenya gov is 2nd largest sharehold with 35% after vodafone; 40%; balance held by public and previously held 60% of the shareholding; Kenya is not Ghana backwater - BONOBO country that cannot manage natural resources. vaxx: |
If they get Ethiopia license - they could go as high as 30B. Ethiopia is huge untapped market - with 40% market penetration. kikuyu1: |

Ghana-More than 100% passes through MTN a foreign company. At least Safaricom is majority owned by Kenya gov+Public. Vodafone(through vodacom) only has 40%. Now imagine MTN South Africa is running your finances. As for M-pesa - remember the money really doesn't reside in Safaricom - it reside in an ESCROW account in local banks. vaxx: |
Safaricom market cap reaches 16B dollars. By far the highest in SSA outside South Africa. https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/markets/capital-markets/safaricom-share-hits-all-time-high-on-ethiopia-bid-3380996 |

Precisely. DEAD CITY. DEAD ON ARRIVAL. DEAD AS DODO BIRD. SUFFERInSMILIIN: |
I am saying nobody lives or work in Eko City more than 10yrs since it was started - way back in 2004/2006. There are what two completed idle towers. 68816419: |
Very slow pace of construction in the dead city. And here lies the problem - Lagos and Abuja have been economically dead since 2014 oil trouble. Today, there are a lot of vacancies in offices, flats, hotel rooms, and malls. This means that all new developers coming to build such development must do a feasibility study and when they did, they are faced with a report showing 400,000sqm of empty office spaces in Lagos, 1,000 empty hotel rooms and thousands of empty flats. 68816419: |

- there is mixed reaction from Ghanians how that went.
