Hausas know which boundary to cross in their rampage. Go and read your history again and know that there was a reason why their Sultan lamented in disgust that Yorubas are selling his people into slavery. Why were Yorubas selling Hausa/Fulani into slavery? Go read.
In response to your post, there is refugee camp in Imo, you dont see a refugee camp in Yorubaland. Do you know why you have a refugee camp in the heartland of Alaigbo? Some of your brothers up there in Kano have taken oath and commitment to die defending their property than to come to village and die for Biafran cause. What a shame! hahaha! I'd like to read about that Sultan lamenting. Got a link? |

The Nigerian came to the weigh in with a Nigerian flag. The Ghanaian grabbed it from him and was about to throw it on the floor. The Nigerian shouted, "where's my flag?" and rushed at the Ghanaian. He took back the flag before people rushed in to separate them. I swear! I watched the video too. If that Nigerian had lost, I would never forgive him |

Politics › Re: States Internally Generated Revenue: See How Much Your State Generates. by Ryabcool(m): 11:49am On Oct 26, 2015 |
ABEngine: Dear Historian, J. T Aguiyi Ironsi didn't fight the 1966/67 "One Nigeria" war. The all so important Nigeria which is apparently the north should have let go at that point if it was meaningless to keep a bunch of "non-entities" as non igbos now claim. you are missing the point. Northerners never wished for a centralised government at first. Every region depended on its resources and there was development in all three though varied. If Aguiyi hadn't introduced a central government, the eastern region would have had a 50% controlling interest(as with all regions that had their indigent resources) when oil was discovered on a massive scale in the Niger Delta. But due to greed for absolute power and short sightedness, Aguiyi went ahead and claimed all state owned assets and resources as exclusively the federal preserve. Now fast forward a few years when oil was discovered, the Northerners who saw the free and easy money from oil grew to like and fully utilise the central system of government. More or less, the cat was shown the easy way to catch an unlimited supply of fish in the stream, so you can't blame the Northerners if they are unwilling to let go of such free money. Blame Aguiyi Bro, not the Northerners. |

ABEngine: I see the foot prints of the igbo merchants in Lagos, Kano and Kaduna. Let's even look at Ondo which is heated with south-western nepotism at the moment and fiery hate for the igbos.
I would kindly suggest we have a rethink if we must survive this union called Nigeria. Someone rightly noted the poor spate of the Northern contribution to our purse and yet they yearn for a centralised government even with the endowment of solid minerals. Is the case to deplete the south and enrich the North?
I swear Gowon knew exactly what would become of the contraption, Nigeria if they had let go, his current statement "With Biafra, it is finished!" would not have revealed any better why he exerted extreme efforts to destroy the Biafran struggle.
I think at this point the Nigerian agenda should be pacifying the igbos to remain in Nigeria through whatever means. stop trying to twist history. Aguiyi Ironsi was the one who introduced a Unitary System of Government, the Northerners were too afraid to try that until that guy showed it could be done. So blame it all on him. |
