Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Insight Communication's Interview by Ryley(m): 9:53pm On Nov 27, 2008
Hmmm, N850k a year?, thats approximately N70k a month, for a whole year,
if you ask me, the amount isn't too bad, but to earn it for A WHOLE YEAR in training? that could be a problem
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Insight Communication's Interview by Ryley(m): 10:00pm On Nov 18, 2008
@naija-dove
I think a full suit will be necessary. Remember the text message kinda stresses the "formal" part of the interview process.

@icecube
Sup ice, do you know anyone who works there? i don't know if its only me but the fact that the pay is 850k for a whole year before tax is very worrisome. Can you confirm that? there's a thread somewhere on nairaland that mentions that.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Insight Test: Is It For Real? by Ryley(m): 10:53pm On Nov 12, 2008
I also recieved a text message from insight, but after hearing about what the renumeration is like, i'm no longer sure how eager i am to join, but i really like the job description though.
I pray they would have reviewed their renumeration by now.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Update on Insight communications/Troyka holdings 2009 Test by Ryley(m): 10:51pm On Oct 13, 2008

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Insight Communications Aptitude Test On Sat Oct16 by Ryley(m): 10:12pm On Oct 13, 2008
I got an invitation to the test too, but mine says "Saturday October 18th", not 16th. Check yours again, does it really say Nov 10th? November 10th is not a Saturday.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Guinness RDM Apt Test by Ryley(m): 7:38pm On Sep 07, 2008
What does RDM mean? Does it have anything to do with the Management Test stage 2 that was written last week?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Guniess Test, Updates? by Ryley(m): 9:46pm On Aug 28, 2008
Have you heard of that saying "the simplest things are the easiest to fail" i get that feeling whenever i think about that guinness test grin, but God is in control. I also sincerely hope they won't take that Mental test thingy too serious when they are considering people to invite for the third stage. I don't know about you, but when i heard those invigilators were management trainees, i wasn't impressed at all. I began to wonder if spending all that money and coming all the way was worth it, they looked kinda razzzzzz undecided, i hope they don't read this
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Guniess Test, Updates? by Ryley(m): 9:33pm On Aug 27, 2008
Oya oh! I've gone, i've seen and i've written the Guinness 2nd stage test. It was a blast, but the last paper REALLY got to me, the thing about instruction 20 angry. Anyone who wrote that test will know what i'm talking about.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Guiness Second Test by Ryley(m): 10:19pm On Aug 23, 2008
hmm, i've been wondering about it too. But don't be fooled oh. They may provide their own writing materials when we get there.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Guniess Test, Updates? by Ryley(m): 9:35pm On Aug 19, 2008

Career / Re: What Is Your Dream Job? by Ryley(m): 5:28pm On Apr 12, 2007
My dream job is to become the CEO of a famous international company grin, and by the gace of God i will acheieve it. I like to set goals for myself, and some how by God's support and ofcourse his grace, i ALMOST ALWAYS (90%) achieve them. And so, i really believe that this will happen, its just a matter of when. smiley
TV/Movies / Re: The Intern Show (Reality TV) by Ryley(m): 5:37pm On Feb 01, 2007
I think the intern show is one of the best things that has happened to reality tv in Nigeria. I surprised myself by surviving through that UTTERLY brain draining show called House4. Good GOD!!!! That show was…, was…………………Anyway, I think the intern show is really interesting. It was well planned, well organized (written) and cleverly copied from Donald Trump’s The Apprentice.
Family / Re: Do You Care About What Your Parents Think? by Ryley(m): 5:34pm On Feb 01, 2007
@mamaput. I love your parenting style.
I really used to care (Heaven, earth and then some) about what my parents thought of me, but as I grew older, I seemed to loose some of their trust (especially my dad) for no apparent reason, and that REALLY made me mad. Until that moment, to the best of my knowledge, I was the perfect son. Since I realized this, I stopped caring.

Maybe because I’m a guy and he knows the kind of things he did at my age (most of which I haven’t even done)…, whatever…, i couldn’t careless now.
Family / Re: Your Child Says, "Daddy, Mommy, I'm Gay!" by Ryley(m): 5:30pm On Feb 01, 2007
The funny thing about life is that the people who are shouting the loudest God forbid will probably be the ones that will have the gay children.
Family / Re: Why The World Is Full Of Unmarried Big Girls by Ryley(m): 5:25pm On Feb 01, 2007
I have a sister whose 33, beautiful, eloquent, relatively successful and the works. Every time I look at her, I can’t believe she isn’t someone’s wife. She just seems perfect. I’ve seen the way she relates with men, and I think it’s ok. I don’t think she is bothered about the fact that she’s getting older, and is in no hurry whatsoever, but I’m not sure if this is how she feels. I worry that deep down inside, she is alone. I think the more educated and successful women are, they tend to realize that they don’t have to settle for just any man, and are willing to wait until the find “THE ONE”. Unlike the younger one’s who most times seek to pin ANY man down, so she can laze around in his house.
Family / Re: Why Do Women Like Shopping? by Ryley(m): 5:21pm On Feb 01, 2007
I’m a little shy to admit it.I’m a guy, but I like shopping too. Sometimes, I don’t even wear the things (mostly clothes) that I buy. They end up sitting in the shopping bags they came in from weeks to forever. I’m staring at some right now. I shop when there is nothing else to do, when I’m bothered and when I’m happy and have cash to throw around. I guess vanity has a small role it plays. But I don’t think it’s a woman/girl thing…, and its my dad’s money too. grin grin grin
Family / Re: Prenuptial Agreements by Ryley(m): 5:18pm On Feb 01, 2007
Prenups always seem to create the impression that you guys intend to divorce in the future. With the kinds of marriages we have today, you can’t blame either party. If I get married outside Nigeria and I am wealthy, I will consider getting one…, and….um…, i’m keeping the kids if anything goes wrong. angry
Family / Re: Tribal Mark On Your Child. Don't Laugh by Ryley(m): 5:06pm On Feb 01, 2007
Let’s not be so quick to condemn the mother for fleeing to Lagos. She probably needed to clear head, plan a strategy, and then fetch her war implements/torture apparatus with which to hurt her mother-in-law, and maybe her husband too. grin

Seriously, I think the child should undergo surgery. Tribal marks are often superficial(depends on the type she gave him), and would simply take stitches to close (if done early). Besides, younger kids have undergone more complicated surgery, and come out alright.
Family / Re: What To Do? My Wife Refuses To Come Home! by Ryley(m): 4:59pm On Feb 01, 2007
Maybe you should try appealing to her through your son.
Family / Re: Lies Our Parents Told Us! by Ryley(m): 4:55pm On Feb 01, 2007
smileyWhen I was younger my mom used to tell us that if your tooth fell out, and you put it under your pillow, the tooth fairy would come at night to get it and leave you something. Every time I did this, I would wake up the next day to find two very shiny 50kobo coins under my pillow. After reading Enid Blyton novels where fairies and pixies dealt in cupcakes and chocolate, I began to wonder, what kind of fairy would be dealing in Naira and kobo?
Family / Re: Cheating Father by Ryley(m): 5:39pm On Jan 27, 2007
Right now, i'm not sure, but i think my dad is cheating on my mum. I'm still investigating. But so far, i have uncovered a MASSIVE amount of romantic text messages between him and some lady who is also married, but lives apart from her husband. What i'm not sure about, is if they are sleeping together. He's over 60,diabetic,hypertensive and has prostrate problems. I don't think i would tell my mum, i think it would really diverstate her, and there really is no telling what she would do to him or herself.
Family / Re: My Mother by Ryley(m): 3:57pm On Jan 27, 2007
, hmmm, my mama, my mama, my mama,, what can i say about her? she's strange,, and does some strange stuff too, but she's strong, incredibly generous and i love her very much, even though she's strange grin
