Forgetting minutest info but keeps posting foo.li.sh questions for someone else that's not forgetful and didn't invest with/for you to provide shey? Clap for yourself.
Okay, you can boost your ego by doing your findings by yourself instead of disturbing people here. You're the type that makes people be weary of attending to enquiries here. Truth is truly bitter.
The internet is there for you.

Madam. I beg no vex. We never see you get angry like this.

Lol.
I wonder what the issue with fbnh is, it refused to move.
In my opinion, those inside the bus should just hold on, it found support at 4.30 already.............we see how it goes.

Afriprud: I wonder what the dumping is all about. Maybe they're selling to join the already moving train.... grin

The bad news is still there. Weak demand for oil, astronomical unemployment figures, lockdowns etc.

The good news is also there. Economies opening, excess liquidity, covid19 issues peaking/declining in many countries etc.

We may have seen the worst. Stocks may be going northwards in the coming weeks - maybe at snail speed.

NB: My opinion. Not an advice.

Oga Meshpips, while your advice was good, I strongly disagree with the bolded!
You said this simply because it worked for the friend and you predicted that Zenith will touch 10.90 or is it 11.90 or thereabout......again.
Do you know if purchasing Zee at 11 by the friend was mere coincidence?
I just felt your advice was one-sided without taking all other factors/risks into consideration here.
Some people took advice from faceless forum and are doing fine as well, especially when the advice is not biased and, is with a good intention.

Exactly the way it should be done.

May GREEN fall upon you

Thanks. No wonder GTB doesn't like to assist clients in buying from primary market. They've continuously ignored my request. Let me move to Stanbic or FBN.

Yeah. GTB is for sure one of the worst banks for TB on primary market in recent times. I had no choice but to move on with my funds after several weeks of unending disappointments.

Long Batteries.
As most of you know I have been installing 6V flooded batteries exclusively since 2014. We started with the Trojans and when we could not get them we started to use the US Batteries. The Trojans beat the US Batteries hands down in my opinion. We will revisit this later.

December last year we installed 4 Long 200AH batteries for a client whom we sold Lithium batteries while waiting for them to arrive. They were installed with a Growatt SP5000 running an older version of firmware. The firmware limited charge voltage to 54 and allowed for a discharge to 42V. Two weeks ago we removed the batteries and I have been using them at my installation and WOOOOOOOOW.

I run my freezer lights and fans through the night and wake up to between 49.3 and 50 V. The lowest we experienced was 48.4 V the first night it was installed. We watch TV at night run the refrigerator till 7pm and freezer 24/7. Today on a very cloudy day I pumped water while my fridge and freezer where on and the lowest voltage I saw was 50.4 V. I was pulling 1300 watts out and putting in between 600 and 800 watts as the conditions varied. I have ironed in the morning and not triggered a low voltage alarm.

For a battery that endured 7 months of poor charging and discharge to still perform as well as this does today, I doff my hat to LONG. Well done. Bravo on a well built battery. They weigh a ton though.

Good to know that Long batteries are also good. I have never used them and I am always on the lookout for good product/brands.

While I understand what you are trying to say, I don't think it is good practice to spec the cables based on the present consumption or the battery bank size. You should use the inverter norminal rating. So in this case, we are looking at approximately 105A for a 5kva 48V inverter. The reason is that even though you know the present power demand, you cannot predict what will be plugged into the inverter in future. Most inverter manufacturers provide a recommended cable size in their manuals for this reason.

So from your NEC table, the cable minimum size should be either 3AWG (90C) or 2AWG (75C). In either case, the minimum cable size will be 35mm.

That said, like you said its too early to say if the cable gauge is the reason for battery balance issues.

Great comment. I concur. Most manuals will also tell to you to go higher if cable length will be an issue.

I second that.

Apart from SMA, I have not come across a company so knowledgeable and helpful on different application scenarios and wide har4dware compatibility

There is no comparison to their open source approach in the RE business

I have put so much faith now in Victron that I pulled out my entire system and in the process upgrading to 5 KW Quattro x 3 phase setup .

The generator and NEPA will changeover through Victron so something goes wrong my house will be in darkness

I have also acquired a Fronius SYMO 6 KW and Victron 250/70 CC ( in addition to my 150/70 and 150/45) to handle the large loads during daytime

After consuming 87 litres in Last one year for my 20 KVA gen and spending more on starter batteries and chargers and maintenance for the gen than diesel saved I have decided the gen should be run regularly to keep things in balance till the time Lithium becomes really affordable and I can truly dispose the gen

Oga Pranil. How many inverters, charge controllers and other RE gadjects do you actually have. We have lost count shocked
