jonescosmos: Please note that your 6500W Max PV is the Combined MPPT PV Power, So each of you MPPT is Rated 3250W, manufacturer does not need to spell this out to you
370V is the nominal voltage for each MPPT, of course you can go all the way to 500v PV but don't exceed it by 1V.
Your best practice for your Inverter is for you to run 14x625w Jinko panels in a 7 series on each MPPT setup. Theoretically that should give you 8750w @ STC. But you will get something around NOTC spec of the panels I have not made any comment here in years....... How am I not going to make this an epistle.... Thanks for your wonderful contributions. I think you are right on this one. But not entirely 100%. The OEM did not state the rating of the mppt tracker in their spec sheet. I strongly suspect that they chose to be silent on this for a reason. They know what they are doing..... I did a couple of deye installations of recent in two different places. I had to put 8 units of original Canadian solar 650W panels on 6Kw deye inverter and I ran into a dilemma doing the job. All panels installed together in the same angle. If I split the panels into 2 strings, the inverter will struggle to wakeup or run during the day. To make matters worse, if I choose to do the second string, I will have to run extra pair of 10mm cable over 40meters. At 5000naira/meter that is extra 200k. I was very angry and furious with deye on why they choose to be silent over this very important matter. Well.... i took matters into my own hands. I put all the 8 panels on one string and into one of the mppt tracker knowing fully well that I am not going to break any of the rules according to their spec sheet to avoid voiding the warranty. Kw, voltage and current all slightly below spec rating even on a single string. On commissioning, we were getting well over 100amps. In fact I had to limit the output current at some point to protect battery. Installation had been running for several months without any issue. My conclusion is that the 7.8Kw norminal rating for a 6Kw deye is for the internal charge controller and not mppt/2 as i also previously thought. After all, they did not state this in their document anywhere. Now... their could be reasons where you want to use only one mppt like in my case. Their will also be many reasons where I will want to use the 2 mppts like if I have enough panels, if cost of running cable for another string is no issue or if the installation is such that sun shines on one part of the roof in the morning and the other part later in the day and i need to take advantage of the two sides. Hope this helps. |

desiji: final look Excellent job brother. I just completed almost a similar upgrade myself with two 5kva multiplus ii and two 250/100 mppts. Have you checked the idle consumption of the multiplus? Mine is doing about 22W in parallel. I don't think there is too much disadvantage running the two together even on small load, if they are already part of the installation and the battery is big enough. |

mctfopt: Guessing Thermocool You guessed right bro. I did not want to derail the thread. My earlier post was a subtle cry out for help. ...... I was trying to get a new freezer as replacement for the 'kaput' one. I decided to first go to the mall to get a few things and also use the opportunity to look at some freezers in a store that sells many brands. A particular one caught my attention. Same size as the one I want but everything about it looks substandard. It had a Chinese name at the front which I did not even bother to note. I proceeded to the thermocool showroom which was just five minutes drive to the mall. I went to where they have standing freezer and to my astonishment, I saw exactly the same freezer I was looking at few minutes ago with haier thermocool logo in front. That was when I realized that our much beloved brand is far gone. Funny enough, the one I bought fifteen years ago is still working like new and has never been touched by any repair man |

FEGEITOK: You may want to consider Panasonic Chest Freezer in particular CH150 Panasonic 150 ltr Chest Freezer whose price range is between ₦90,000.00 and ₦120,000.00.
If you don't mind spending much more then get their 500L or 750L tall fridge/freezer combos, the 500L will set you back north of 300,000.00 while the 750L will set you back north of 400,000.00
But then you are assured you spend good money to buy a product that is guaranteed to work very well for the next 7 to 10 years without issues.
The truth is that the Nigerian economy is in reverse gear, and very few of us can afford to buy based on quality, the majority buy based on price, so the sellers supply/market what will move Thanks a lot |

Pls does anybody know of a very good brand of chest or upright freezer?
A popular local brand I got few years ago just packed up. I decided to visit their showroom to get a replacement but to my astonishment, I discovered they are now selling generic China made products rebranded with their own brand name. They obviously decided to throw their reputation and quality to the gutter for monetary gains. |

kintus: 21th Jan TRANSCORP Shares Price Manipulations and Learnt lesson: NEWBIE EXPERIENCE
Following the 3days consecutive full bid on TRANSCORP, I successfully placed a buy order at 9:30am with an adjusted price of 10%, which was higher than the previous close (I used 1.40).
When trade eventually commenced, I realized my order was SWIFTLY filled (unlike the Mon, Tue and Wed). This made me uncomfortable so I decided to check the realtime trades only to realise that I had made a bluff because I could've bought lower. Technically this increased the average price of my holding because I bought some units when @megawealth called it out last week Friday.
Lessons: 1. Never get carried away by FULL BID. 2. Your pre-market buy order should always be lower or at par with previous closing price. Could have gone the other way. Big risk = big reward/loss You dont loose until you sell. |
