Raging to almost any african foreigner. My ethiopian girlfriend almost lost her life to some black south africans when she went for a conference in joburg. |

*Semuhle*Baby*: Ok i guess you definition of pride is "we are the giant of africa", we are better than south africa, ghana, kenya, south africa has hiv and Nigeria do not, Ghanaians are charcoal, south africa are molesters. Ok now i get it. You definition of pride is different from the rest of the world cos that to me is not pride. Pride is i love my culture. My country is beautiful, i love that we are so diversed. but hey to each their own Nigeria is a huge and promising economy laced with one of the finest minds. Nigeria is rich in resources, ideas, culture, STYLE, music, art, theartre. These stocks are presumably on of the most hardworking in africa with a vision for success undeterred by hate, xenophobia or oppression. What then gags the bloom? Ineptitude, corruption and laxity in governance. No apologies. |

khukhi: I think you're right somewhere, somehow. I have always hated the level of aggressiveness that you will find in common South Africans at times. I think its the after effects of apartheid. Our people grew up in a very violent society.
Violence and brutality was a way of life for years. Men would be humiliated by apartheid police in front of they're families and they could not do a thing about it.
As a result, they would turn to abusing they're loved ones because of they're frustrations towards the system. Its a long messed up chain of events. Most SA families are made up of single parents.
Men who are brought up by single parents dont always grow up to be men. Its actually a very sad cycle. Why do you think south africans marry west africans. Its because they provide security and reassurance compared to your average south african male.
Anyway,i hope it'll get better someday.
Its actually sad guys... a more respectable, rationale and objective south african |

NLG_woodey: It is a lot easier to negotiate with a wife that is not fully under the influence and goading of her mother. You will never know until you get in. I guess the lure of visa to USA made her package herself well that I misinterpreted the shortcomings that was so obvious that even a blind person could see it. It was all my fault. I fall mugu big time the way she and her mother packaged her.
She used to pray and even speak in tongue when we were engaged but now the church is a no-go area. I just filed for divorce. I don't care what it takes but I will pay whatever the court decides just to get her away from me.
For her family, it is about the money. But all I need is love and peace of mind. I now understand why they say money can buy a house but not a home. I never consumed alcoholic beverages until I got married. Now it is from the office to the bar to get inebriated before heading home for sleep. Hopefully, she will be asleep b4 I get home.
If you really care all you can do is to remember me in your prayers.
u see what i meant. I lost a couple hundred of thousands (dollars) to the bastard that i practically gave my all. I pity boys that go on all abour these love porkies. Y'all gonna get burnt. Dr.Tony: If you understand †ђε pathophysiology of HIV then you will know why homosexual especially Male homosexuals are at a higher risk, †ђε Rectum(anus) has dense blood supply & is prone to tear on friction with any object, be it penis, this because †ђε epithelium of †ђε proximal part of †ђε rectum was not made for friction unlike that of †ђε vagina that is stratifed squamous epithelium specially designed for friction, so when there a break in †ђε epithelium of †ђε rectum it exposes †ђε capillaries there and hence tђε HIV is transmitted so easily.
Have you also forgotten that virus was first found among homosexuals in †ђε USA in †ђε early 80's.get your facts & epidemology studies right before mis-informing thousands of masses & further encouraging gays thereby increasing †ђε prevalence of this immune killer. c.fours: Well of course. Like I said, 99% of Nigerians have inferiority complex. including our stars. But just because an actor dreams of attending the Oscars doesn't mean they would want to go through the demeaning treatment or uninteresting work to get there.
the comparison you make to harvard is very off. Harvard is an academic institution. Hollywood is a cultural institution. big difference. Academics is more netural (although not completely so). people from different countries can compete with each other academically. hence why harvard is open to everybody (although there is some racism there)
but when it comes to hollywood. we are talking about american culture. Even the hardest working people on earth (chinese) are very rare in hollywood. It's not because they are lazy. but because americans will always be better at being American. photocopy ko easy.
if we are to create a pidgin english movie, who do you think will be the best actors or actresses? of course it will be africans because we are natural at it. it's part of our culture. yorubas will always be best at yoruba movie etc. indians will always be the best at bollywood. likewise whites will be best in hollywood. That's one reason I held ghadaffi in high esteem, he wasn't a western stooge. Be proud of your heritage and style and stop making the western lines your yardstick. It is an acute socio-cultural impairment. Americans thinks makossa dancing men look like fagg.ots but on the contrary I believe it's their culture. The richest black African dangote(Nigerian) needn't solicit the approval of the west before reaching that altitude. |

@myrib no doubt the young lady made an admirable feat of reaching the zenith of motion pictures, but the brawl however isn't questioning her success but your lack of subtlety in expressing your contempt for anything Nigerian. c.fours: inferiority complex will not kill you. I'm guessing you live in Nigeria. 99% of we Nigerians are suffering from inferiority complex anyways. na so so to dey worship oyinbo. Just because oyinbo show you in his movie doesn't mean you are a good actor or actress. All it means is that you are good at acting like a stereotypical "primitive" african aka acting like a baboon. they see you as nothing more than a baboon. which is the image they always go for to portray Africans. Anywonder why all the movies they have about africa is always either about starving children, War or HIV/AIDS. Why should star actresses like Genevieve Nnaja go to hollywood where the script they will give her is to scream like baboon and make voodoo noises or do tribal dance. please don't insult our stars jare. no she's chinko-makosa |

TV/Movies › Re: Congolese Actress, Rachel Mwanza To Represent Africa At The Oscars 2013 by s25million: 4:36am On Feb 23, 2013 |
c.fours: whatever floats your boat. Oscars is an American/European thing. do you see Americans fighting over representation in Nollywood? Why should we be fighting over who gets to go represent in Oscars? who cares? we have our own award ceremony.
and just for the records. She is NOT representing Africa at the Oscars. The movie was created, produced and directed by Canadians. Just because she acted in it doesn't mean she automatically is representing all Africans. Remember Slumdog Millionaire, the American movie about India. So will you say that Freida Pinto is representing India? She is NOT even a bollywood actress. Do you see indians fighting over that? NO most indians could care less. they prefer their bollywood actresses.
all these Oyinbo worshippers don tire me. tell me about it.@ his or your rib whatever, even miss universe finds nigerians attractive so cut me some damn slacks and quit hating. |
