One can recall back then in tertiary institutions that the present day Student Union Government(SUG) was not established. School authorities were disenfranchising the students in issues concerning them e.g. Hike in Tuition Fees, Deplorable food, transport and accomodation conditions, etc. No one could counter such rules or decisions when taken and enforced; for that purpose did he; Wole Soyinka decide to become one of the founding members of a particular fraternity in his universities days. Shortly thereafter,due process was taken into consideration whenever issues that affect students were to be decided upon and a body was setup where students and the administration could deliberate on issues,but where did that leave those fraternities? In the streets of course!!! in the hands of unscrupulous politicians who use their members as thugs to achieve their evil ambitions, deceiving and damaging the lives of our kids in the name of "big boyrism".
Little doubt, these authority figures(mainly political) act as patrons to these meaningless groups, because they helped them do the dirty jobs while them were aspiring.
No wonder, whenever the DSS and Police arrest some of these cultist, they seem to waltz out of detention in a matter of hours at most days. Yes, the Police and Detectives of The DSS know these kingpins a.k.a. Barons and Shi!t, but cannot arrest them anymore, as the only way out of this mess rests on peaceful resolutions, am well aware of other steps taken to mitigate this insanity rocking all level of our schools. But as parents,must we fold our arms and watch these riffraff mislead and condemn our kids to death in-order to achieve their political aim? Our kids are naive but it depends on what we teach them.
Ask yourself, why don't they print flyers, posters, run advertisement on both print and electronic media about their useless cult groups(or stoopid association as some fucckktards call it) if they think it is legal, include it in your CV if u are a member, buy a bus print on it your cult name, address, logos and s!i!t and tell everyone u meet that u are a cultist. Fools I call them and Nairaland has some of them(based on comments I have read).

The Nigerian army in a response to the demands of some Nigerians agitation for evidence to support it claims of defeating the terrorists who attempted to seize Konduga on Friday, has released some images from the battlefield.
The military explained that the images were released as part of efforts to convince Nigerians that the military is capable and ready to protect the citizens. It said some pictures that could offend the senses of the public were deliberately not added, Sahara Reporters said.

It would be recalled that Nigerian military troops on Friday reportedly engaged in about three hours fierce gunfight with over 100 insurgents, and eventually forced them to retreat. It was reported that the terrorist group also suffered a lot of casualties and weapons during the gun battle.

According to a statement issued by Col. Timothy Antigha of the Nigerian Army Public Relations Directorate, items recovered include three Hilux vans and one Buffalo vehicles with mounted Anti-aircraft guns, three General Purpose Machine guns, over 30 AK 47 rifles and two global positioning systems.


Col. Antigha also revealed that some Nigerian soldiers sustained bullet wounds during the battle, while the area is still being search for terrorists who might have escaped with bullet wounds. He assured that the morale of the soldiers remains very high.

Meawhile, Kondoga, has reportedly witnessed numerous attacks from terrorists in the past, a development which compelled several residence to relocate to Maiduguri, Borno State capital and Yobe State.
