You can ovulate without slimy discharge. Clomid can as well dry you up, it can also cause ovarian hyper stimulation and waste eggs.

I actually have been ttc and have undergone hsg and semen analysis and both came out fine.
My doctor now prescribed clomid for us.
Pls any experience with recommendation would be appreciated.
Any further test to be carried out?

But in my opinion, clomid is not suppose to be given except the benefit outweigh its disadvantage.

But in what you said, you know that you are ovulating, so why were you placed on clomid again.

Actually I’m not sure ovulation occur, but I do track my cycle and know when I’m likely to ovulate.
But the slimy discharge is not there to ascertain that ovulation actually takes place.
I guess that’s why the doctor placed me on clomid
Please what are the disadvantages of clomid anyways?

I was placed on Clomid from second day of my menstruation, but I started it on day 1 (this was done with the intent of my short cycle which makes my ovulation period appear faster than many others).
But going through comments here, it seems everyone starts on day 2 regardless of your cycle.
Can this affect the effectiveness of the drug expectancy

This is apt! You get the mail a day before you write I guess. I earlier got just SMS notification indicating 25-27th. But yesterday I got mail notification for today. I'm guessing those to write tommorow will get theirs today too.

If yes, my dear the truth is that if u are physically fit that shouldn't be your problem becos u won't be the only lady there and more so the training involves both drills and Academic activities. So why not take it step by step, the popular saying when u get to the bridge u will devise a crossing skill.
