There are some of our music stars who need to try out something else because music isn’t just working out anymore for them. Sadly, no matter the amount of effort they put into making music, the result of as mediocre at best if not very poor without their usual brilliance. All signs point out that their period of relevance has elapsed, they are of little use to the industry.

On the flip side of things, these music acts have not adapted well to the transient dynamics of the industry. They have been lost in the quick change of sound, music style and maybe even PR moves. We may have loved some of them in the past but at the moment our love has grown cold. Sometimes we have lost track of their activities, and have moved on with other buzzing acts.

It may not sound good but these acts need to retire from actively doing music but rather try out other profitable ventures. These are some of those music acts we think need to head in a new direction.

Dammy Krane : Once upon a time Dammy Krane used to beam with brilliance as a young act. He was tipped and nominated as a ‘Next Rated’ act in the music industry. He was easily put on the same pedestal as Wizkid, Davido at the time. That would explain why the legendary 2Baba signed him to his music imprint Hypertek Digital. He had all the prospects of a ‘star boy’, we loved him but the lustre didn’t last long, Dammy Krane fell off the ladder. He couldn’t keep up the pace, his music has deteriorated badly he hasn’t caught our fancy in a long time. The best we know of Dammy is his connection with credit card theft last year. It’s about time he tried something else.

Eedris Abdulkareem: The ‘Jaga Jaga’ crooner is an elder maybe an ancestor in the industry without any reservation. He has had a fair share of relevance in the music scene from his days with the Remedies until when he went solo releasing hits like ‘Jaga Jaga’, ‘Mr Lecturer’ . However, in recent times, Eedris Abdulkareem’s music is not hitting the spot anymore as his style of music is old fashioned and rigid compared to the prevalent styles these days. In a bid to stay relevant, he has subscribed to calling out younger colleagues who are doing way better than him presently in the industry anytime he gets an interview. It’s obviously he is a bit washed up, it’s about time he fully retired, to keep his respect.

Efe: The reality TV star came into national prominence last year when he participated and eventually won the Big Brother Naija Season 2. During his time on the show Efe taunted he was a rapper. However, it’s quite a pity he is yet to release a song that would prove he actually has the talent for music much more being called a rapper. His songs so far aren’t the type you would put on replay but rather skip. Some persons have in deed advised the Jos breed rapper to try something else. It’s OK if he retired and picked up something else worth doing.

Lynxxx: Professional fine boy no doubt, but Mr Lynxxx is better off a model than an actual musician. Stemming from the fact that the light skinned rapper cum singer has not had a hit in years. The last widely accepted hit to Lynxxx discography was ‘Lady’ featuring Wizkid that was in 2013. His sophomore album ‘The Album Before the Album’ was released in 2016 without any buzz or stand out track. The singer has been quiet recently perhaps it would be even better if he retired to focus on other businesses on his plate.

Blackface: Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo a former member of Plantashun Boiz who were popular in the 90’s and early 2000’s deserves to be on the list much like the above mentioned music stars. He is a classic example of a veteran who would be better off working behind the scenes.

Blackface Naija suddenly became an irritant with his persistent criticisms of his former partner and band member 2Face. He deserves to give up music for something more profitable. Blackface deserves to take several seats back.

A man has been punished in a really hilarious manner by his girlfriend after he was caught cheating by her.

A woman identified as Darneisha Shereese, has revealed how she punished her boyfriend after he was caught cheating.

Darneisha revealed that she made him write the words “I won’t cheat no more” on papers for as many as 224 times.


She shared a video of her man serving out his punishment as he sat writing down the words on a piece of paper. According to her, he still had four more sheets to cover, front and back.

A lady identified as Cynthia has revealed how she met her husband on a bus while traveling to Abuja. According to her, meeting her hubby on that bus five years ago is one of the best things that has happened to her as they both have a son together.

She narrated her story to Humans of Abuja. Read what she said below;

My name is Cynthia and I met my husband on a bus while coming to Abuja 5 years ago. It was my first time in Abuja and I intended staying with my cousin in Abuja before I could start working and earning money. My cousin lived in Wuse which was my destination while my husband who is a business man lived at Kubwa.



While in the bus, we started a healthy conversation we talked about so many things and laughed as if we had known each other for a long time. At a point in our discussion I fell asleep and rested my head on his shoulder unknowingly, when I woke up and realized myself, I looked at him and he smiled and he said I could sleep more.

On getting to my final bus stop in Abuja, I called my cousin but her number was switched off I was angry. I tried so many times but I couldnt get her on call and I cried because it was my first time in Abuja and I didn’t know any place in Abuja.

My husband consoled me and told me that I could stay in his apartment for that night till I could reach my sister on the phone. I was so scared at first I refused his offer but i realized that I didn’t have any other option than to follow him because I didn’t have enough money to pay for a hotel that night. I went home with him on getting to his house he showed me a room which I slept in peacefully. I woke up in the morning and tried my sisters number again, it was available and he spoke with my cousin.

A mystery snake is said to have sneaked into the accounts office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, in Makurdi, the Benue State capital and made away with N36 million cash.

Before now, JAMB candidates purchased scratch cards from JAMB state offices and other designated centers, to gain access to the Board’s website for either registration or to check their admission status but the reforms introduced by JAMB registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, recommended an end to the use of scratch cards.

A team of auditors was dispatched to different state offices of JAMB to take inventory of the sold and unsold scratch cards and recover whatever money that might have either been generated or mismanaged during the period of the sale of scratch cards.

On their visit to Makurdi office of JAMB, a sales clerk, Philomina Chieshe, told JAMB registrar and his team that she could not account for N36 million she made in previous years before the abolition of scratch cards.

In the course of interrogation, Philomena confessed that it was her housemaid that connived with another JAMB staff, Joan Asen, to “spiritually” steal the money from the vault in the accounts office.

She said: “I was one of the four sales clerks attached to JAMB office in Makurdi. My responsibility was to sell scratch cards to candidates and not involved in handling the revenues. It was the responsibility of Joan Asen and my other senior colleagues. I only remit money when am done selling the cards.

“Few months ago, there was issue of fraud in the Makurdi office. Auditors were sent from Abuja to carefully flip the record books of the office, to perhaps, ascertain the current state of affairs.

The woman and her son claim to be in love with each other and they decided take their relationship to the next level and got married considering that the mother, Betty Mbereko (from Mwenezi in Masvingo) is now six months pregnant and expecting her son’s child, and her grandchild.



Mrs. Mbereko who is 40 years has been a widow for the past 12 years and has been living with her 23-years-old son Farai Mbereko. She confirmed that she is six months pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late husband’s young brothers, whom she says are coveting her.

Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier and that after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it.

“Look, I struggled alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong. “Let me enjoy the products of my sweat,” she told the village court council.

The son, Farai said he was more than prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the lobola balance his father had left unpaid to his grandparents.

According to him, “I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off,”. “It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant.Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.”

But local headman Nathan Muputirwa says: “We cannot allow this to happen in our village, mashura chaiwo aya, (This is a bad omen indeed). In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police.”

A California jury has ordered a beverage company to pay a cat the sum of $710,000 in a federal lawsuit over the unlawful use of its identity.

According to documents obtained by The Washington Post, its owner, Tabatha Bundesen of Morristown, Arizona, United States of America, won the lawsuit first filed three years ago against the Grenade Beverage Company. She signed on for the cat to endorse a “Grumpy Cat Grumpuccino,” but the company subsequently used the animal’s image to help sell other products, which an eightperson jury on Monday found to be unauthorised.

“Ironically, while the world-famous feline Grumpy Cat and her valuable brand are most often invoked in a tongue-and-cheek fashion, defendants’ despicable misconduct here has actually given Grumpy Cat and her owners something to be grumpy about”, attorney for Grumpy Cat Limited, David Jonelis, told Courthouse News, adding that the verdict was a “complete victory.”

Grumpy Cat, whose dwarfism and underbite gives her the permanent frown she’s famous for, became an online phenomenon-turnedmerchandising-machine after Bundesen first posted pictures of her in 2012.

Nabii Tito has been the talk of town for the past few days after sharing photos of himself kissing his wife and house girl.

Remember that time when Drake was pictured with Burna Boy and the internet went wild with excitement in 2017? Well, the full story is out, and it isn’t exactly the news you guys were dying to hear. Turns out Drake and Burna Boy made plans, and made music together, but somehow, things didn’t work out the way Burna Boy was told it would.

Burna Boy shared the story, or at least a portion of it on Sunday, January 21, 2017, during his listening party for his forthcoming album “Outside,” which held at the We´re´ House in Lagos. Burna Boy entertained friends, colleagues and family members, and in a rare moment of truth he explained what happened between him and Drake.

Turns out Burna Boy and Drake had met in London, where they connected and decided to make records for a new project that the OVO boss was working on. That project required was designed to be an inclusive one, which would contain different genres of music from all over the world.

For his part on the project, Burna Boy set to work, record plenty of music for the project. He worked hard, delivering 5 singles for the work.

“I worked on 5 new songs for the project, and submitted them all,” Burna Boy said.

The singer explained that after recording, he submitted the songs to Drake and his team, who chose only one of the songs named “More Life.” He received confirmation that they were going to use the record as a part of the project, but when the record came out, it was a completely different form entirely.

Turns out Drake’s entire project was named “More Life,” the same title of Burna’s song. But that wasn’t the most disappointing part. Burna Boy was not officially named or credited on the project which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart, and broke several streaming charts.

For Burna Boy, he did appear on the outro of the song ‘Get it together’, which was a remake of South African DJ, Black Coffee, and Bucie’s 2010 single ‘Superman’. The new version had UK singer Jorja Smith, singing about fixing a strained relationship. Burna Boy’s ‘More life’ was chopped beyond recognition, and sampled at the outro of the record in an almost unrecognisable form.

“They told me they had picked it, but when the song came out it was…chopped..” Burna Boy said.

Burna didn’t receive writing or production credits on “More Life,” and has so far refused to speak or acknowledge his contribution to the project. The only time he did confirm that he was part of it was when a fan asked him for clarity on Twitter.

“Yes,” Burna responded to a question.

A rural community is stunned and baffled after a dead woman gave birth inside a coffin.

The bizarre “coffin birth” has left some people crying witchcraft after a deceased 33-year-old mother of five‚ Nomveliso Nomasonto Mdoyi‚ of Mthayisi village near Mbizana in the Eastern Cape gave birth.

This was discovered by funeral parlour staff 10 days after her death‚ on the eve of her funeral.

Staff at the parlour in Mbizana‚ were left traumatised by the incident.

Lindokuhle Funeral parlour owner Fundile Makalana said: "We were so shocked and frightened that we did not even have time to look at the sex of the baby. I have been in the business for more than 20 years and I have never heard of a dead woman giving birth."

Both the stillborn infant and the mother were buried in one big coffin on Saturday.

The deceased woman's mother‚ Mandzala Mdoyi‚ 76‚ said her daughter died suddenly after becoming short of breath at her home. She was nine months pregnant at the time.

"First‚ I was was devastated by the untimely death of my daughter and now I got the shock of my life to learn that she has given birth while she had been dead for 10 days. What is that? God please come and intervene‚" said the grieving mother.

Family spokesman Mbikelwa Mpithi said they would consult both medical experts and sangomas to found out more about the birth after death.

"We cannot sit down and fold hands as if it is business as normal. We want to know more about this‚" said Mpithi.

Physically challenged Rahma Haruna and her brother, Fahad Ya'u.

Rahma Haruna's family have struggled to meet financial obligations to her. Over a million Naira has been invested in curing her.

A touching story of a Kano-based girl, Rahma Haruna, who lives in a bowl has stirred up emotion.

She was born with a rare deformity which caused both her legs and arms to experience stunted growth or no growth all.

As a result, her family have had to saddle the responsibility of tending to all her needs, which includes mobility and other domestic activities.

In a bid to find a cure to her unique physical impairment, Haruna’s parents who are Hausa, one of the major tribes in Nigeria, have toiled endlessly in a bid to provide an improved living condition for their daughter.



Hussaini Haruna revealed that he has invested over a million Naira in the health of his daughter.

Her father estimated that he has spent over a million Naira to help facilitate this goal but this has not materialized in the direction they had hoped.

Thanks to kindness shown by random strangers on a visit to a shopping mall, the family has been able to handle financial obligations to the little girl who despite her impediment still nurtures an ambition to own a full-capacity grocery store.

Nigerian singer, Wizkid eats a different breakfast from the rest of us and he has taken to Instagram to show off. He shared a video of weed on a table and captioned it; “Breakfast”.

In 2016, some concerned fans of the super star had advised him to tone down his penchant for smoking weed.

One fan had asked him on social media, “must you smoke all the time” while another enjoined him to reduce his intake of “hard drugs” because it’s starting to affect his appearance.

Since he burst into limelight over six years ago, Wizkid has at different times, publicly displayed his love for smoking pot – in the same vein as some of his foreign friends and collaborators, Rihanna and Chris Brown.

Hence, it is common knowledge among his fans that he occasionally indulges in smoking marijuana.

In that vein of acceptance laced with concern, another fan also said, “smoke is drying you out… you need to take a chill or [get] high on something else”.

A video of Wizkid’s surfaced on the internet in 2012, which showed the then 21-year-old freestyling about “smoking weed” on a daily basis while holding between his index and middle finger, a rolled up marijuana.

Wizkid, who was in Kenya to shoot a music video with Victoria Kimani, Del B and Patrick Elis, was lodged in the Nairobi Crown Plaza Hotel. While checking out of the hotel, he was accused of smoking illegal substances and Kimani reportedly intervened while Wizkid was slammed with a fine of Sh 50,000 ($560).

The man Segun Rick Mill said he got his lips bitten off by a tout known as Abayomi a.k.a Street, whom has been disturbing his woman.

A 22-year-old man is the youngest person in the UK to be fitted with a battery-operated heart, which he has to charge every night by ‘plugging himself’ into the mains through a hole in his torso.

Jim Lynskey, from Redditch, Worcestershire, has an enlarged heart, known as dilated cardiomyopathy, after he and his twin sister, Grace, caught viral meningitis at just two weeks old.

Mr Lynskey, who is one of around 100 people in the UK to be fitted with the device, has to carry two large battery packs, each lasting around eight hours, a small computer device and spare equipment with him at all times.

The device keeps the weak left side of his heart pumping, with an alarm sounding if it fails and an ambulance needs to be called.

He was fitted with the appliance after suffering three life-threatening cardiac arrests, however, the device makes it more complicated for him to have a heart transplant.

Mr Lynskey, who studies food and consumer management at Sheffield University, is still optimistic he may have a transplant in the future and is speaking out to encourage people to join the organ-donation list. Jim Lynskey is the youngest person in the UK to be fitted with a battery-operated heart. He has to carry two large battery packs, a computer and spare equipment with him at all times

1. Broadcasters

Once upon a time, some of these broadcasters chided us saying, “You press phone too much.” You have headache and next thing: “Why won’t you have headache when you are always pressing phone?” They have discovered the amazing wonders of “Wosap” and they no longer badger us for pressing phones. Nowadays, they send broadcast messages you probably do not read.

The other kinds of these broadcasters are just disgusting. We are so pissed at them that we have blocked them. Like, how are you less than forty and sending broadcast messages? Je ne comprende pas.

2. Morality Prefects

These people are from your religious centre, or probably that relative. They want to police your updates. “Dave, why are you wearing earring?” “Lisa, your cleavage is showing too much.” You make a Facebook update and type “sex”, and they ask you why you typed that vulgar word. They even preach to you. It’s not as though they do not fornicate or commit adultery. Lemme jus’ kip chot and face front. Mhmm!

3. That Annoying Fellow

It could be that guy or girl that has been trying to date you since 1769. They do not understand that pestering someone is not seductive. (Sigh) People are not even patient enough to seduce people. No! They will thrust the concept of romance in your face until it feels as though it were a bad stench. They probably text risqué stuff at you that pisses you off.

4. Evangelists

These people will send you broadcast messages from scripture according to whatever religion they practice. This reminds me of that married man that wanted to fornicate with me. Uncle was sending religious broadcast messages, o. (Laughs in wickedness.)

5. Sup

Danish police are investigating the theft of what is claimed to be “the world’s most expensive” bottle of vodka, in what the bar owner says could be an inside job.

The bottle, made from white and yellow gold and containing a diamond-encrusted replica of the Russian Imperial Eagle on its cap, is said to be worth $1.3 million (one million euro).

A CCTV recording sent to AFP shows a masked man grabbing the Russo-Baltique vodka and fleeing Cafe 33 bar in Copenhagan .

“Somebody must have gotten the key from someone who previously worked here,” Brian Ingberg, owner of the bar, told AFP.

The bottle, which featured in the political thriller “House of Cards”, is not insured and was loaned from a Russian businessman, he said.

Uber has apologised to a man who suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes tumours to appear all over his face after one of their drivers allegedly refused to give him a ride because of how he looks. Houston resident Reggie Bibbs, who has neurofibromatosis, is considering taking legal action against the company after believing he was discriminated against because of his appearance.

He said he had booked an Uber to take him to the Texas Medical Center as he need blood work done. However, Bibbs said that after making eye contact with the driver who pulled up, the man drove away and cancelled the trip.


Speaking to ABC's Eyewitness News, Bibbs said: "I saw him pass by. He looked right at me. He was going real slow. He just passed the house. "I could see the brake lights on. He went a couple of houses down. He turned around and came back by the house again."
He added: "I'm looking at him. He's looking at me. He just keeps going down to the end of the street. When he got to the end of the street, I got a message that said unfortunately your driver cancelled. That was it. There was no explanation."

A woman in Bristol, England, really likes spirited lovemaking ― and only ghosts need apply.

Amethyst Realm, a 27-year-old “spiritual guidance counselor” says she’s had sex with at least 20 ghosts. She prefers them to men.

Realm appeared on the British TV show “ITV This Morning” on Thursday to discuss what being “ghosted” is really like.

The first experience was 12 years ago, she said, after she and her then-fiancé moved into a new house and she felt the presence of a strange entity.

“It started as an energy, then became physical,” she told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. “There was pressure on my thighs and breath on my neck. I just always felt safe. I had sex with the ghost. You can feel it. It’s difficult to explain. There was a weight and a weightlessness, a physical breath and stroking, and the energy as well.”

Realm said she had an affair with the ghost for three years but that it ended when her human husband came home from work early and saw the shadowy shape of a man through the window.
