There's a range of them now you can even use to create a conversation between your dad and his homo-buddy, just to show the world that your sire is gay. (Among other things you can try out of course).
My point is, certain hoaxes that are supposed to be dead on arrival in other climes are media hot topics in Nigeria - a country where over 75% of youths have access to the internet on their palms!
I stumbled upon Deepfake ® in like 2016 when it was a fun novelty on a subReddit ® .
(Remember in January 1st of January, 2019 it was used to spread false propaganda which then led to an attempted coup detat in Ali Bongo's Gabon).
Nigerians, pls stop this intellectual laziness, online trolling and porn addiction, and dare to use your Google more to educate yourself!
Deepfake ® videos are pretty easy to spot if you have a trained eye. Audios are harder and that is why it is in vogue as often used by rogues to spread disinformation.
If I were interested, I could make one in which the said "journalists" & "aides" that "leaked" those tapes have a "phone" conversation with each other about any effing thing I choose. But I lack the balls to fool myself in order to make temporary headlines.
So unless the sources of all those .files are authenticated by the prevailing gsm networks in court, ignore it.
I believe PO will get a court order to force the gsm networks to provide both the audio and the transcript for the alleged conversation.
