They say they will give us grants close to 10m depending on what u wana use it for but most be one of these things: Medical, Agriculture and School. The money is for free but they will monitor that it's used for d main purpose it was given. This is too good to be true but I was convinced by a friend. Olamide Adedeji, indigenous rapper, may be at risk of a N3 million fine and one-year jail term for promoting the use of tobacco in his recently released video, Wo.



The federal ministry of health has notified the public that the rapper violated the 2015 tobacco act, warning that the video had “dangerous public health content”.

“The public is informed of the dangerous public health content & violation of Tobacco Control Act 2015 in “Wo” by @olamide_YBNL #ClearTheAir,” the ministry wrote on Twitter.

“The content & video contains scenes that violates the ban on Tobacco Advertising, Promotion & Sponsorship provision of the act #ClearTheAir.”

The 28-year-old rapper, who is signed to his own record label, YBNL, had returned to Ladi Lak in Bariga where he was raised to shoot the video for his latest single.

According to the 2015 Tobacco Control Act, it is prohibited to promote or advertise tobacco or tobacco products except between a manufacturer, retailer and consenting persons above 18 years of age.

“No person shall promote or advertise tobacco or tobacco products in any form,” it reads.

“No person shall engage or participate in any tobacco advertising, promotion or sponsorship as a media or event organizer, celebrity or other participant.”

According to the 2015 law, anyone who violates the law faces the risk of a fine and jail term of not more than one year.

“Person that produces or publishes advertising, promotion or sponsorship content and shall attract a fine of not less than N3,000,000 and a term of imprisonment of not more than one year.”

@ekpotek , I am yet to receive d 40 pounds Ukvi initially removed from my card when I called them on the 17th of July. They have removed their main Call charges from my card but yet to return d 40 pounds cus I called twice. D first they did not pick but it was d second one they picked and dats what made it 40 pounds.
