Redmi ambassador well done... O.p don't let anyone confuse you, Samsung A31 is a good phone. I have make a lot of research on it. Am looking forward to get one self. This Redmi 9s he was advertising up & down go check review on GSMarena and see what problem people are facing with the phone. These are the people that are users of these phone, you get first hand info.
And finally, there are people like me who are the allrounders. We want a bit of everything in a phone in the above list i.e Durability, Good Processor, Good Display, Good Battery, Good Camera e.t.c. and this phone have it all
Lastly, if you're looking for a phone for about there years before opting for a new one then go for Samsung.

Are you comparing RN9s a flagship killer device (with snapdragon720g, built on 8nm) to Galaxy A31 an entry-level device (with MTK Helio p65, built on 12nm)? Are you normal?

Although both phones comes with 5000mAH. Are you saying Galaxy A31 that is built on a buggy 12nano-metre diode has a better battery life than the latest 8 nano-metre chipset of RN9s?

Apart from the AMOLED display of the galaxy A31 (which is very expensive to fix when broken), what else does it have over RN9s?

Antutu scores shows that RN9s is above 100% more powerful than the Galaxy a51 talkless of a31, but on the same level in performance test with Galaxy a71 (a phone that cost above 170k oh)

DSTV on irplus. Import > LIRC (choose chrome to open)> MultiChoice > DSD910 (open it with the irplus).

You can rearrange the button when adding widget to your homescreen

No... IRplus doesn't have DSTV settings as default, although it can be manually configured but it's a complex process. Download "Remote control for DSTV" from playstore instead

I got attracted to Xiaomi when a friend shared his experience with me and some others. There was a coursemate of his who bought one of Xiaomi's latest phones as of the time(early this year, I don't know the model). He got involved in a bet with some other person and the stake was N5k to drop his phone from the Lodge's first floor downstairs on casted floor. The guy accepted, dropped the Redmi and they went down to get it. They only found two scratches on the screen, no crack, no breakage and it's operating fine. The guy chop free 5k that day..... Most iPhone users hardly think of getting a replacement except for show off or show biz. That device is strong and replacement part is cheap.

I can remember my iPhone 8 falling through the window in a fast speeding car on lekki ajah express way, in fact the phone flew not dropped, my people that phone is still solid, never repaired it, only had an hair line crack on screen and edges scratch. Just change battery if you wish after some years, that’s all. I think wizkid is still using his iPhone 6 even if he has others.

A brand new iPhone or a good uk or us used iphone will last you years without issues, And will have a strong second hand value in the market when you want to upgrade.

I was a big Samsung galaxy s series fan tho, from s6 to s8+ but you see ehn, if ur Samsung screen should have fault, that phone is gone. You can buy a brand new s10 for 260k today and sell 90k tomorrow if the screen should crack

AMOLED has the best colour display, can display true black which is great for watching movies, although, it's more expensive to fix if accidentally broken.
Personally, I wouldn't choose AMOLED display as my first priority over performance in a device.
For now, Redmi Note 9s is your best buy. It will perform far better than any Samsung brand of the same price

Good day Nairalanders. I have been a Tecno and Infinix fan for a long time. But like in nairaland, people refer those using those phones as mediocres. That is by the way, I bought an Infinix note 7....but it's like what is written on it contradicts it. Example camera of 48mp is not as clear as expected and other things.
I want you to advise me, if I go for Samsung A31, is its specification of Camera 48mp and battery 5000mah not just on its box....
Please I have never used Samsung Phone.

Samsung A31 is not value for money. 105k can get you a flagship killer from other brand. BTW, no Samsung A series is worth the price, accept you want a device with AMOLED
