Sorry about your lost SD card. But one or two things might contribute to it getting damaged and key among them is maybe it is a fake SD card or you don't just know how to format it outside the phone.

If I format as internal storage, it wouldn't work outside my phone. Here's my question: Having formatted as internal storage and I want to use it as portable device in another phone, will I be able to reformat it as portable device in the new phone?

No you can't, the SD Card is useless outside the phone it was configured to work with. You cannot reformat nor use it except in the phone. Lost 64gb SD card to that experiment. Still can't find a way around formatting it outside the phone, unfortunately the phone has been sold off

Seriously u made a valid which I didn't think about b4.. What attracted me to the phone was the inbuilt finger sensor... But then u made mention of software glitch.. If it happens truly how ll i unlock the phone... I was initially planning on going for the UmiX but then i saw F2 with 6gb ram 128gb rom.. That alone made me dump UmiX.. Thanks for the insights

We are not hearing anything again concerning it... Even review and unboxing videos are few.

They're 2 simple reasons why i feel this phone kinda failed to meet expectation. First being the AMOLED screen, have you checked the price of a replace screen? more than half the price of the phone itself. Secondly, the in-screen fingerprint sensor is one vogue that really didn't catch on just like the pop up camera, what will happen if one had a software glitch? me i prefer the sensor being a hardware than a software, look at what face unlock dey do people

Did i also add that apart from the 2 things mentioned above i see no reason to leave the Umidigi F1 for the X and the F1 still has a bigger battery.

This is my personal opinion so make una no stone me oh, abeg i no well

And I noticed that there are devices that get their mods quickly. Take for example LeEco x720 already have a mod for Android 10 available though I'm sure it'd have bug issues.

Maybe you'd just wait or use that which I'd not really advice because of bugs though.

Snapdragon tend to get updates before MTK, that's has always been the case. That's why a lot of people tend to tilt towards Snapdragon. But before the dawn of the new MTK processors they used to be miles ahead in performance.
Of recent however, things are changing...

I got ROM for my A3 Pro from ROM provider though.

Thanks boss, i sure this ROM on XDA but what i was referring too was if there was an official ROM from Umidigi just like for the A3 and A3 Pro, that were produced recently.

For one and one pro

ROM available is still on OREO not PIE, just recent updates were added that wasn't pushed through OTA.

Holluikon also ported his to pie, so it's surely possible..... ..

Yeah i saw it, there was an Android Pie Rom developed, when they started producing A3 and A3 Pro on Pie out of the box, basically the same hardware but a different software.

But they didn't do same for the Umidigi One series, maybe they stopped production as they didn't feel it was a market to explore cos i never heard of anyone buying the Umidigi One or One Pro with Android 9.

Egbon i won upgrade my umidigi one to meat pie. Any help? The treble project with the Pixel Pie Rom no sweet me for body jare. Too many bugs from what i hear, no hotpot, decreases memory etc. Can we get Umidigi to produce one just like they did with the Umidigi A3 and A3 Pro, Let them not send it as OTA, just make the rom available for download so people can upgrade using SPFT.

Get replacement cables from reputable brands from aliexpress if you can, baseus, floveme are just a few. If you can't do aliexpress then buy from guys here on nairaland.
