This ur thread na real discovery channel, the prices of the battery seems very affordable, na when you do capacity test we go know if it is worth it, but even 70-80ah at that price range is a steal especially with Bluetooth monitoring.

Oh yes. We now have Cat 6 router for the G5F ODU
My MC801A was lying useless. Now the MF296A will have to be the one sacrificed.

The install helper app really helped me get a good place to put the ODU for the strongest band in my location with poor network.

I believe this should also work for the ZLT X25 and X25 pro as sold by both Airtel and MTN, just remove the Sim in it or disable esim and connect via lan cable, it's plug and play. Retains all wifi settings as previously used.

I have tried it with Starlink and it works flawlessly but not tried it with the Airtel ODUs.

Also of note is the old original MTN ZTE hynet flex router, works as well.

So options plenty for anyone have the old hardware laying around gathering dust.

Seems there's a new set of equipment available now, couldn't identify the ODU but the IDU is Huawei. Will give full description once they come for installation.

No, it only works On Routers not mifi, unless ur mifi has the modified imei of a Router.

Day 11 of my ODU ZTE router not working. Nobody seems to know what’s wrong, Airtel said my line has been fixed.

Thinking I just buy another one because MTN is draining data and I can’t afford Starlink yet.

Call Airtel Customer Service via 300 and ask to talk to their supervisor. Explain to them and they'll either resolve it or give you a timeframe for resolution. Cheers

I just saw a video on TikTok where the guy tested the new ZTE IDU with a samsung phone and I can can confirm it's WiFi 5.

Do this:

1. Call CC
2. When they pick, tell them to go through the records of your router line. Ensure you have the router number to call to them.
3. Usually, first responders don't know jack about router lines, so tell them to forward the call to their supervisors any time they say something untoward. They normally say you have exhausted the data. Tell them it's unlimited and should be time based and not data based.
4. You are vexed obviously, but don't show it, at least not yet. Be intent on communicating effectively about what happened, and be factual about it too.
5. The supervisor will go through the records and reset the date to the actual date. Ensure you tell them the date you subscribed or registered the line, as the case may be; and make sure the date is correct o.

During that bad period, I called them many times. They must have taken notice of my repeated calls because the calls were recorded. It could be because of me that they reset some people to 10th because the initial expiry date for the sub I did was 9/10, but after fixing it, they moved it one day ahead to 10/10/2025 which I have renewed and still using with no problems.

This is the best hack so far, tested and trusted. My guy's issue has just been resolved now after 10days of hell. He can browse now and the ODU payment option is now back, expiry date extended from 10th to 16th October.

When you call just tell those first responders you want their supervisor straight up. Cheers

As stated above, it only applies to those that have been cut off since Friday and presently cannot browse......

If you have an alternate Airtel number, recharge the line with 25k or 45k as the case may be. log it into My Airtel app. Go to Buy Bundles, input your ODU number up there and then go to Data pack

For those having issues, the ODU Subscription plan is no longer available i.e 25k for 50MBps and 45k for 100MBps. What's available now is just the regular 30k for 20MBps etc

unfortunately, i think this is the case, and then even though the plan hasn't expired yet (expires on Oct 17, 2025), it's still not working. on top of that, the 50MBPS for 25K plan isn't showing anymore, only the 20MBPS plan for 30K is available on the app for the ODU device's number.

Same too with my guy. What exactly is going on? Is anyone else expressing this? and what really is happening. Unfortunately, the customer care guys don't have an idea what's happening

this has been the case for me. Got the ODU on the Sep 17, and have been enjoying it with steady speeds of around 40-55Mbps but all of a sudden on friday night (Oct 3, 2025) till today (Oct 7, 2025), the internet stopped totally on the ODU just like that, i've restarted it over 50 times since the first time it happened and nothing worked. i even called customer care to complain and then they told me they'll work on it and then 2 days later, i got a text saying the issue was fixed, but then it only worked for like 5 minutes and stopped totally again, idk if it's network related because i have full 4G+ signal bars on the router. sometimes when i restart it'll be extremely slow that i cant even load a page. the service is really great for anyone who wants to get it but these past few days have been too stressful to say the least!

I can relate with this, a friend has the exact same problem, even the dates the issues started is the same. I hope they're not dumping people batch by batch.

Has anyone tried the MTN 5G router alongside starlink as a 3rd party router?

The Airtel X25 pro 5G router works just fine and still transmits at Cat6 speed. Just make sure you pre-configure your User ID and password before connecting and of course remove any SIM card. Also works as an extender when paired to other routers via LAN.

I have both the ODU 50Mbps and the X25 Pro 20Mbps in different locations and both are working okay......
