Please are the ODU units universal or it's strictly airtel?

It's universal. But u'll have to manually add the APN

Took me a while back then, but i figured it out. The Nokia receiver unit's bluetooth needs to be turned on, as the Nokia Wireless app connects to it via bluetooth, and by default, the receiver unit's bluetooth is off.

So, while connected to the Nokia router, go to 192.168.1.1 and log into the interface, then go to the General tab and turn on the bluetooth.

By the way, the password of the interface can be found on the sticker in the pack inside the receiver unit carton.

Thanks boss for the detailed response, you just outlined my exact experience too. I went to the friend's place and together we were able to decipher it just as you have said. The router and receiver are working okay and network reception has greatly increased, i also noticed that the router has a self-heal function and can restart itself after network fluctuations unlike the X25PRO that would require a manual reboot to get back on track.
I'm really tempted to get the nokia router and swap out my X25PRO, but waiting for my friend's review after a month.
Thanks once again.

I heard the rubbish routers needs electricity/charges. t would ne hard finding someone who use it to swap SIM card (where I live).

Thanks for the reply/info.

As per electricity needs yes it's actually true for the ODU devices but that too can be tweaked, my friend attached a router powerbank to the beacon 2 wifi distributor and attached the fastmile receiver to a small UPS, energy consumption is very low, so the setup takes him for hours on a full charge. For swapping sims, you only need a star screwdriver to open the compartment and switch ur sims, if you do the swapping fairly regularly then you can leave the cover off, the sim holder slide in and out quite easily.
The other routers have follow come battery banks and sims can be swapped easily. Cheers

It was written on the back of the pack so i was wondering, no be juju be that?? I see its for areas with poor network coverage so i want to go for this instead. Mast full my area yet coverage is still rubbish.

Oh i get you now, a friend has the same router and it's reception is way better than that of the ZLT X25PRO, the only problem being that you need to be a bit techy if you need to tweak settings and setup access points.
As for retrieving the units back if consecutive payments are not made, i've never seen it happen cos i know people who drop their units after the first month, however; this might have been true when they were giving out the routers free but for now the router payments are included in the initial payment though subsidized.
so if you area has bad reception i would recommend you buy the ODU units but if it's relatively okay, then the regular X25 or X25PRO should serve you well. Cheers

does anyone have experience using this brand of Airtel Nokia ODU router? Please give me your opinion on it. Is it true that after 3 months of non subscription, they will take the router back?

Not true...

The plan is sim based and only available on routers not even mifis. So, you either get a router with the attached sim, which you can remove and insert in your phone, or you buy the sim off someone who has an airtel router already.

Okay Thanks. I

Actually, it comes in 2 units (at least mine, I can see some people posting a newer one that is just one unit). One is the receiver and the other is the router. You are supposed to place the receiver close to a window and it is what holds the Airtel sim. Then you connect the receiver to the router via LAN/Ethernet which broadcasts the WiFi signal.

Fyi, I sometimes connect from the receiver directly to my laptop using LAN.

How was ur first installation done, a friend bought one and is having problems connecting to the Nokia wireless app, always failing.

Not true, it works with all compatible devices 5G, 4G and 3G. The device only determines the speed you'll be able to harness.

Hi everyone, I want to port to airtel in order to enjoy the unlimited 20 but i want to ask if i purchase the pocket wifi, will i still have access to the airtel unlimited 20 plan? reason is because i already have a fast universal 4g router (works well with swift, spectranet) and i feel reluctant to purchase another router. Secondly, i also want to ask if the airtel sim can also be used on another router and not locked to airtel specific router for the unlimited plan. Thanks.

The plan doesn't work on mifi plans but is available on the router packages, so the least you can get it is 25k by buying either the Hertz 4G router or the Airtel smart android box.

And YES the aim can work on other routers from day one and is not locked to the router, so you can remove and use with Ur device of choice.

Can you share steps and resources to achieve this?

Locked to Airtel network. Although it has a LAN port, but not WAN.

The LAN is only a LAN Out and cannot receive input either by LAN or WiFi, so without the Airtel SIM the box is practically useless in my opinion.

Please has anyone ordered the 5G router through Airtel website and did it get delivered on the stated date? Because I have ordered and I'm having doubts that I will receive it on the stated date. I want to know so that I don't waste my time waiting for delivery.

Go to their shop or a distributor to get it. U'll never get it from their website. I tried it and waited for 2wks without any communication, sent emails that were never replied. So a walk-in centre is Ur best bet. Cheers

Experts in the house, kindly proffer your advice concerning my inverter setup.

I have a 3.5kva SMK Inverter with two pieces of Cworth Energy 2.5kw Lithium 24V batteries (as seen below) and four 380w PV panels. On Wednesday afternoon, the inverter let out two loud sparks and started displaying error code 09 (this would be the second time within three months). A technician suggested that the inverter may not be compatible with the lithium batteries and suggested I replace it with a 3kva Felicity
brand.

Does anyone have an idea on which inverter brand will be most compatible with the batteries?

Thank you.

Alternative inverter brand will be based on your budget, so please share the amount you're comfortable spending on a new inverter first.

Secondly, get Ur installer to separate those battery cables, let the positive be on one battery and the negative on the other, this will aid even current draw between the 2 batteries connected in parallel, as it stands, battery 1 is taking all the hit and will charge and discharge faster, while battery 2 is in limbo.
If you have a high influx of current higher than the BMS capacity, then Ur battery BMS may clip the current to save Ur battery and that might be part of your problem.
Preferably, get a busbar, connect both batteries to the busbar independently with equal length cables, then connect to your inverter from the busbar, that would be the ideal approach and will aid balance out Ur batteries too.
Just my 2kobo.......

Yes, especially at noon, right now, I cannot even use it

Seems like a location problem, try doing a hard restart on the router by pulling the power plug for 30secs and then reinsert and start again.

I use Airtel in 2 locations, one is on 5G and the other is on 4G though both are the Airtel X25 pro and it's working fine for me. Agreed it fluctuates once in awhile but it restarts after a soft or hard resets.

Please what's wrong with my setup. I've presently assembled 3S3P li-ion battery( while waiting for more batteries) with 3S 40A bms, with the cell all balanced. But anytime its fully charged to 12.6v (I'm only charging solar for now), the voltage then start fluctuating at 13.8v, 13.9v, 14.1v.
But when I checked the actual battery voltage (bypassing the bms) I noticed charging has been cut off and it was around 12.55v then.

But anytime it starts fluctuating due to charging disconnect, once I put a reasonable load on it, it adjust itself and displays 12.6v.

Please what could be the issue, I've tested 2 3S 40A bms, it's the same.

Could it be my solar charge controller

@dollarnaira @penuelseun @officialfestus @everyone

Your system is working as it should based on parameters of both the charge controller and the BMS, you didn't (can't) adjust the parameters on Ur CC as it is set for lead acid battery at 14.4v, while Ur BMS is locked at 12.6v (which is the verified safe working voltage for 3s lithium ion battery packs).
So while the CC tries to get to 14.4v the BMS clips it at 12.6v the reason the reading after the BMS is 12.55v which is less than 12.6v.
The increase in voltage when load is applied is that the inverter is pulling direct from the CC and since it can do higher than 12.6v, it would naturally increase, and the fluctuations are due to the solar fluctuation due to cloud covers.
For optimal use, get a CC with adjustable settings so you can set Ur voltage at 12.6v max and stop clipping on Ur BMS or else you might fry Ur BMS and in turn Ur CC. Cheers

Thanks boss for the update, someone told me over the weekend and I confirmed it to be true. Good one for Airtel cos so many people have dropped their lines, me inclusive.

How did you go about attempting to subscribe? I can still see 25k subscription here.

However an airtel agent told me weeks back that there are rumors from the airtel company that the 20k plan will be discontinued.

It's a bad move especially cos most ppl opted for Airtel cos of the relatively affordable 20k plan.

As seen in the screenshot, the 25k is for new customers only and will not be visible on the payment page, try it and revert.
As U rightly said the increment and subsequent removal of the 20k subscription is a wrong move in all remifications

Combining in parallel defeats the purpose (I'd av to climb the roof again to reconfigure) and requires bigger wires. Using a 6mm wire already
Its a 300w panel with abt 9a of current though max i av gotten is 4.
Already mentioned its a 2kva12v hybrid inverter with mppt volt of 30-400vdc. Just feel it doesnt charge well wit solar which is why I'm considering getting a seperate mppt charger

You have a Hybrid with a high voltage MPPT CC, the optimal functional voc for such inverters is from 150v to 230v, less than this is workable but not optimal. So an external CC with a VOC capped at 150v should serve you better. Just me thinking aloud
