Let's assume APC win the election. How can they survive in a House of Assembly whose members are all PDP. Fayose in Ekiti was successful because the time for the election was less than four months interval. I certainly believe if the election in Ekiti was up to two years difference Fayose would not have survived it. So it will be when APC happens to win in Bayelsa state the challenge of a possible impeachment will always be there. Except all the PDP members in the house will defect to APC. |
If it was police commissioner Joseph Mbu that was the commissioner of police in Abuja, listen to what Lai Mohammed would have released as APC press statement. 'The abuse of human right has been taken to another monumental level with the teargassing at point blank of our erudite governorship candidate' |
Nigerians with their creativity everybody wants to use any situation in the nation to make money. |

I think it has sunk deep in our consciousness it has been like a malignant virus. It has been a way of life in our mind. It will take another form of mentality. It is not about politics or tribe or religion. I think it is about our state of reasoning. Solutions? Well, it a total reorientation of our mentality. This to me, I somehow agree with GEJ that corruption has become a social norm forming a state of consciousness. |

I thought Nigeria is a poor country |
I thought some few months ago that someone will raise this opinion and I was never disappointed that it is coming from APC chieftain |
PassingShot:At least many believed when Oshomole, Rochas and Amaechi said GEJ minister stole over $9.3B and over $20B stollen NNPC funds was traced to banks in Nigeria. So why won't we believed this as well?. You see, propaganda don't take people very far. The more they lie the more unpopular they will become because you will need a lie to cover another lie.. |
Thank God the highest they could go is to annul the election. I know Wike will still win again. Just as if they conduct Sokoto elections 20 times Sen. Tambuwal will win. |
I was in keke going to my office this morning when I saw a cultural procession of the Abuloma people in PH the Rivers State capital. The keke driver said that ''I love this people, they will have a cultural procession and still go to church on Sundays''. A man sitting next to me now ask the driver what the culture of God is. The keke driver said he had no clue to his question. I kept quiet for a while wondering the state of mind of a typical African when it comes to religion. So I now told the man beside me who asked the question that the culture of God is truly the culture of man.The man. The man flared up and said that the culture of man cannot be the culture of God. I asked the man about other religion with their various beliefs the man became more angry. I stopped at my office and wished him well. But the man instead wished that I have a bad day. The man obviously is a Christian and I wonder where African may have gone wrong. The more religious we are the more we are truly away from the God that we think we are pleasing. I come to the conclusion that we as a people still have a long way to go in terms of knowing their true nature. Maybe most of our problems as a nation stem from our inability to truly take a closer look again into our African traditional religious beliefs. |
I now realized how Barcanista has been right all this while. |
Me too |
Well, he said that if the election is conducted 20 more times even with Amaechi as the umpire Wike will still win. So it is in Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Sokoto. |
The Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed four out of the five petitions filed to challenge the election of Chief Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party as the governor of the state. The only surviving petition challenging the declaration of Wike as the winner of the April 11 election is the one filed by the All Progressives Congress and its governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside. Though, one of the four petitions marked EPT/RV/GOV/05/2015 was voluntarily withdrawn by the petitioner, Kemka Elenwo, who was KOWA Party’s governorship candidate in the election, the three others were dismissed on technical grounds based on the application by Wike and the PDP. The Justice Mu’azu Pindiga-led tribunal on Wednesday dismissed the fourth petition marked EPT/RV/GOV/03/2015 which was filed by Minaibim Harry of the Social Democratic Party on the grounds that the petition was incompetent. The tribunal held that it lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the petition since the two grounds on which it was anchored were defective because they were not in strict compliance with the provisions of Section 138(1) (a) to (d) of the Electoral Act. The said provision of the Electoral Act prescribes the grounds on which an election petition can be filed. Other petitions that have been dismissed by the tribunal include the one filed by the Labour Party (EPT/RV/GOV/01/2015) and another by the All Progressive Grand Alliance and its candidate, Charles Harry, (EPT/RV/GOV/02/2015). In its ruling on July 31, Justice Pindiga, who dismissed the petition by the Labour Party which fielded Tonye Princewill in the April 11 election, held that the party did not have a candidate for the election having not complied with the requirement under Section 85(1) of the Electoral Act (EA) 2010. It noted that the notice given by the petitioner to INEC of its intention to conduct a primary election from which the petitioner’s candidate purportedly emerged “is less than the mandatory 21 days required by Section 85(1) of the Electoral Act. “By implication, the effect of this non-compliance, is that no valid primary election was conducted and held by the petitioner and its purported candidate.” The tribunal also found that the petitioner did not comply with the required procedure for applying for the issuance of pre-hearing notice, a default which rendered the petition inconsequential. www.punchng.com/news/tribunal-dismisses-four-petitions-against-wikes-election/ |

Just yesterday, Nigerians rose to hear the much expected news of the sudden crash of the naira from N200 to $1 to a Ñ235 to the USD. Barcanista in his yesterday thread warned Nigerians on the poor economic policies of this administration regarding the true value of the naira. He opined that in a Democratic state, the market should be allowed to determine the value of the national currency based on sound economic and prudent management. Most sound economic and political analyst agreed with this view. However, the Sai Baba group chose to be blinded by the cosmetic appreciation of the naira. The CBN under Emifiele is threading in the wrong direction in saving the value of the naira. This massive crash of the value of the naira has once again vindicated our erudite e-political cum economic analyst. Saint Opus write from Buguma ASALGA |
Well, many will not be surprised to hear this news. The only thing that perhaps will be strange to many is when we are told that the President is corruption free. From all indication most supporters of the President will not be happy with recent happenings in the polity. |
With this news as explained here it means that hodders are in real trouble if they don't hurriedly sell off their dollars because the naira will continue to appreciate and Nigeria being who they are with so much greed may lose much money if they continued the nodding. |
