Good news in disguise. We need to look inward as a nation, more especially on the issue of deregulation of the downstream oil sector. Unbundle NNPC, look inward again on the issue of PIB. Most of the last administration economic and petroleum policies should not be thrown away. Many are still useful |
A booby trap for Ambode to clash headlong with Tinubu. Time will tell. |
OZAOEKPE:Since the Yorubas are not crying no need to cry more than the bereaved. To the topic when another President from other region came to power people should not cry out for marginalisation. That is my opinion. |
truefact:You said my mind bro. Good thinking,! Good product!! |
Nigerian economy with oil as its focal point of all financial transaction and decision will lead to more economic woes. This is so because diversification will be a thing of the past |

Well, someday you will certainly be probed |
Aminat508:Just like we had under GEJ: When a woman refused to conceive after two months in marriage- PEJ caused it. BokoHaram caused by GEJ Helicopter crashed in KD caused by Jonathan Akwanga sugar cane refused to produce sugar GEJ made it so Bad roads in Nigeria caused by Jonathan the list is endless |
boujaye:"A blind man who says he will haul stones on you had already gathered stones" ---African proverb |
We'll leave everything for posterity to judge. |
The immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, says no anti-corruption agency in the country can probe him. The PUNCH had reported that Amaechi along with some other former governors: Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano); Sullivan Chime (Enugu); Babatunde Fashola (Lagos); Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom); Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Shehu Shema (Katsina) and Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State were being probed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and related offences Commission. However, Chief Tony Okocha, a former aide to Amaechi, told one of our correspondents that the ex-governor was not afraid of ICPC or the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as long as the probe was not a witch-hunt. Okocha, however, recalled that the ICPC and the EFCC had not vacated a court order stopping any of them from investigating any Rivers Government official and as such could not probe him. He stated that Governor Nyesom Wike was a beneficiary of such order from the court, adding that until the court injunction was vacated, it would be illegal for the ICPC to probe his boss. “I have always said that Amaechi is not afraid of the EFCC or the ICPC as long as such probe is not a witch-hunt. Again, there is a court order that the EFCC or other agency like it cannot probe any government official in the state. Wike is a beneficiary of that court order. “Until that court order is vacated, the ICPC or the EFCC have no right to investigate Amaechi. Since what they are going to investigate is his (Amaechi’s) activities while in government, the EFCC and the ICPC do not have such right to do so based on the standing court order.” The Chief Press Secretary to Fashola, Mr. Hakeem Bello, did not respond to the intended probe of his boss by the ICPC. However, Fashola, while speaking at the 16th annual Bishop Mike Okonkwo Lecture in Lagos, “I will not respond to allegations of corruption on the pages of newspapers.” Similarly, Shema, Kwankwaso and Lamido did not respond to phone calls on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has challenged the ICPC to explain to Nigerians why it did not include former Governor Kayode Fayemi among those it is currently probing. According to the party, the anti-graft agencies have been given more than enough petitions and facts to assist them in getting to the root of the financial misconduct allegedly perpetrated by Fayemi while in office. www.punchng.com/news/nobody-can-probe-me-amaechi/ |
Bondesniger:So in your mind if all these constraints are removed the dollar will be equal to the naira? Are you from this planet. ? Well, you are free to believe anything my dear. Good luck if you believe this. |

I took time to go through the article. Maybe some people will like to label me as a modern wailing wailer. But never the less, the last administration under GEJ did a marvelous job to transform this nation. For the mere fact that he chose the part of peace I sincerely rate him high. If I were GEJ this country would still be boiling now. Maybe if he chose to stay nothing would have happened.!! |
HerexG:The transformation truly started from last administration. It is only manifesting in this administration. |
I guess this should be Port Harcourt. Kai and I want to go and renew my hynet INTERNET bundle.!!! |
chukwudi44:That will be a long thing from the way am seeing oo!!! |
Tallesty1:We must begin to demand from politician what they promised us during their campaign this is the way we can reap the dividend of democracy |
This is serious. I was hoping when my salary will be equal to the dollar amount. Billionaires would have emerged in Nigeria overnight APC scam |
The pioneer Chairman of the Labour Party, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, says Nigerians should face the reality that President Muhammadu Buhari will not meet many of his campaign promises including his pledge to make the naira and dollar to be at par.www.punchng.com/politics/buhari-cant-make-naira-equal-to-dollar-nwanyanwu/ |
Strengthening the EFCC and ICPC are not the only problem in the Nation. Assume we are able to bring down corruption to zero which is not possible even in the advanced countries there is still corruption Nigeria will still have problem. The reason is that stealing of public properties and monies is more of mentality than strengthening of institutions of corruption. And until the mentality is changed strengthening of institutions will not work |
From the body language of our darling President the nation is going to be great again. I believed him sha!! |
The decline of oil prices maybe a blessing in disguise. Then we will face the reality of living together as a nation. We will then reexamine if there are any gains at all in staying together as a nation to share oil proceeds on a monthly basis. |
Maybe I will follow Barcanista. !! |
Move this to religion group And don't forget to add source |
His body language keep on telling us this truth. |
GEJ was right. But you see most Nigerians were blinded by hypocrisy and Media propaganda that they refused to acknowledged this truth. If you say someone is corrupt while the person is actually a thief you tend to glorify the person. GEJ was actually trying to drive home to our understanding that it will be better if we call corrupt individuals thieves rather than a glorified name such as corruption. |
if anything has the potential of separating Nigeria it will be if oil is no more |
I feel Nigeria is a poor country. So long as the basic commodities in the market are still within reach. No wahala, high economics have nothing to do with a normal village life. But it will come to a time when things will collapse. The most affected will be bankers and SEC. |
