PoliticsRe: Saraki Insults VP Osinbajo For Convening APC Peace Meeting by saintopus(m): 11:19pm On Jun 08, 2015
This is certainly a glaring truth thrown to the face of the bearer. Vice and deputies are mere houseboys to their boss. This will be a bitter pill to swallow more especially if he is a Prof. it would not have meant much if it was ordinary person rising to that level of a VP, but as a Prof and moreso from a region with much ego, propaganda and bigotry, I think it means a lot.
My opinion though!

Immunity or not?
And children are clapping for him?

This is very funny.
Either some people are deceiving the tyrant or the tyrant is deceiving some people.

The first step will be to remove the immunity clause through the National Assembly.
Any short of that is tyranny.

Am I surprised??
Not all, the man has no single regard for the laws of the land.

Perhaps, Nigerian laws are not meant for all.

Once more, shame on Luggard, the founder of this of this jungle.

Both men declared their assets Privately and you are here showing the world your ignorance. Till we see the declaration stated publicly then you can say he has fulfilled one of his promises
Thank you my brother!!!

PoliticsRe: Local Government Autonomy by saintopus(m): 3:25pm On May 29, 2015
It was one of the keypoints in the Constitutional review committee established by GEJ but when the referendum got to the states houses of assemblies, they were thrown away on the instruction of the various states governors.
Today, a state like Rivers would wish such referendum went through because Amaechi just conducted LG elections which may be thrown away in few days.

PoliticsJudiciary Crisis: NBA Suspends Amaechi’s Aide- PUNCH by saintopus(op): 1:25pm On May 29, 2015
FOLLOWING the lingering judicial
crisis in Rivers State, the
Attorney-General and
Commissioner for Justice in the
state, Mr. Worgu Boms, was on
Thursday suspended by the
Nigerian Bar Association, Port
Harcourt branch.
The NBA took the decision to
suspend Boms and declare him a
persona non grata during the
association’s meeting in Port
Harcourt, presided over by the
Chairman of the branch, Mr.
Dennis Okwamkpan.
The NBA explained that the
actions and declarations of the
state attorney general had been
detrimental to the welfare and
survival of lawyers in the state.
Ninety-two members of NBA had
voted in favour of sanctioning
the Justice commissioner while
18 voted against the decision.
Twenty persons were, however,
absent at the meeting.
It will be recalled that the courts
in the state had remained under
lock and key since June 9, 2014, a
development that had made it
impossible for litigants to take
their grievances to court while
the accused have not been able
to defend themselves in court.
Okwamkpan explained that parts
of the resolutions at the meeting
were, “That the Rivers State
Attorney-General and
Commissioner for Justice, Worgu
Boms, is hereby declared a
persona non grata .
“That Rivers State Attorney-
General and Commissioner for
Justice,. Worgu Boms, is hereby
suspended from all the activities
of the NBA, Port Harcourt
branch, for the time being.
“He was suspended for his gross
insensitivity to the plight of
lawyers in the state following the
closure of courts since June 9,
2014. He was also suspended
from the NBA for his actions and
declarations, which are
detrimental and impacted
negatively on the welfare of
lawyers in Rivers State.
“He was suspended for his
questionable role in the closure
and continued closure of the
courts in the state. We see that
his role in the continued closure
of the court is questionable.
“We feel that as an attorney
general, he has not lived up to
the expectations of that office
and he did not do what was
expected of him as a stakeholder
in the justice sector, that is why
the courts have remained shut.”

OP I believe if you add all the stolen money it will be upto $20Billion because that is what is always missing e.g

1. $20B missing from NNPC Account-SLS
2. N20B missing from NIPC -Umar
3. $20B missing from ECA - Amaechi

Dbboy:
why is every news on assumed corruption amounts to 20 billion dollars. APC trying very hard to manipulate Nigerians subconscious to make this said amount 20 billion, stick this is classic manipulatory psychology of the subconscious mind which imply that even if such statement is not true as far as Nigeria see this figure over and over again, Nigerians would accept it true even if it turns out not been true, the white helping APC are doing a very good job.
The funy thing is that this method will be used by others against them. They thaught the masses the art of propaganda, now the people have realized how effective this could be so they are fashioning more better ways to do it.
But its a good one though.

APC propagandists seem to love '$20 billion' so much

1) Sanusu claimed $20 billion from NNPC was missing

2) Amaechi and progrethieves claimed $20 billion was missing from ECA

3) Now another #20 billion about NIPC

You made my day! Laughing really hard man!!

So very true!!!

I dont know if there is something in 20Billion that this people do not want us to know!

political parties does not give one the ability to perform while in office. Rather it is different individuals abilities that makes d difference. If not, ur Governor, T.A Orji of Abia State would have done wonderfully well as a Governor of ur state.
Am from Rivers state. We practically saying thesame thing."It is the individuals that makes the party and not the party making the individual."

Does not change the fact that the legacies were done under him. We won't forget Amaechi's schools and health centers and others. If not the distractions from Wike, PEJ and GEJ, he could have done more.
The message came from a party called APC. So my comment is not based on Amaechi as a person, but Amaechi as APC member. You see, many people foeget that "people will remain people ". If you are a good leader, a political party will not change you. The case is different with Amaechi. For instance a state like Rivers state has no business owing workers salaries but it is happening in Rivers state. Is this one also caused by PEJ or refusal of GEJ to rekease monthly allocation to him? Or maybe Okonjo Iweala hate Amaechi so she decide to withhold Rivers allocation.
My dear Amaechi is a poor leader.
PoliticsRe: Yale Honours Okonjo-iweala For Fighting Corruption, Fiscal Transparency by saintopus(m): 2:02pm On May 19, 2015
mandarin:
I honestly do not know if those that offered the award to her have in depth understanding of what it means to fight corruption in the developing world. The madam minister can talk about billions of Naira saved through some procedural changes in ways government do its business but those gains were easily eaten up by myriads of other mismanagement (allegedly) seen in the public sphere. The oil subsidy scams running into trillions of Naira under her watchful eyes as de-facto Prime Minister (named Coordinating Minister of the Economy), missing billions of dollars from the treasury of government due to non remittance of incomes by the Government owned corporation under her watch and that of her colleague oil Minister Madam and various grafts exposed in the outgoing regime.
If she had performed this way in the United States would Yale celebrate her this way? By this it is easy for us to accept that the first world countries encourage graft and mediocrity in Africa and are not in a hurry to see the continent develop. This is a country where 7 out of every 10 able and agile workforce do not have profitable employment and over 40% depend on relatives, a country where parents still provide feeding for 30 years old graduate degree holders and public domestic debts almost tripled in five years in spite of oil income that ran into several billion dollars without any infrastructural progress to show for it. If what Okonjo did is what American Universities teach(I know that's not true anyway) then Nigeria had better look for graduates from local institutions to fix its problems. I think Yale, a prestigious University, ran into a colossal error over this action. I simply delete this school from my likes without wait.
Google will be your best friend to find Yale University. At the bottom of the site you will see contact us, then start your writing to the management.

Please do not forget to use Lai Mohmed and popular phrase
1. Monumental cluelessness
2. Epic corruption
3.Colossal daftness
4. Colossal corruption.
5. "I don forget the other grammer them abeg make I consult Prof. Soyinka "
