This is realy a splendid news. I think the Federal Government as well as state government should direct all Agencies and Parastatals to use Nigeria made cars. Movie makers too should be asked to use made in Nigeria cars for all their movies, this is how other countries develop their auto industries. Check India, US, UK, Germany, Japan, China etc all have similar stories. They all patronize their locally made cars whether in movies or government functions. I think Nigeria will be great again. The only probkem now is insurgency in Northern Nigeria then followed by corruption. But the way things are going, development with time may force corruption out and then we will have insurgency to battle with. God Bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
I think in my opinion, in moments like this government had to look out for solution. One of which is the total removal of oil subsidy. Cut government overbloated expenditure by possible merging Agencies and Parastatal with overlapping functions. Taxes too must be taken seriously more especially on luxury goods. MOD move this to FP very educative |
fyneguy:I did not say corruption will reduce because INNOSON assembled cars. All what am trying to say is that development with time will reduce corruption. |
UNITED States of America Monday described as premature Federal Government’s decision to discontinue the American military training of a Nigerian Army battalion. Although Nigerian military officials refused to comment on the cancellation of the training, the United States Embassy Abuja, in a statement titled ‘US Government Regrets Nigerian Cancellation of Military Training’ described it as “premature.” The US training of the Nigerian Army battalions was to enable it imbibe its operational manual on procedures to minimise human rights abuses during their activities. The US statement read: “At the request of the Nigerian government, the United States will discontinue its training of a Nigerian Army battalion. The first two phases of training were conducted between April and August 2014, and had provided previously untrained civilian personnel with basic soldiering skills. Based on mutual assessment of the Nigerian Army and U.S. trainers, a third iteration of training was agreed upon with the intent of developing the battalion into a unit with advanced infantry skills. “We regret premature termination of this training, as it was to be the first in a larger planned project that would have trained additional units with the goal of helping the Nigerian Army build capacity to counter Boko Haram. The U.S. government will continue other aspects of the extensive bilateral security relationship, as well as all other assistance programs.” The United States has been critical of the Nigerian military’s campaign against the Boko Haram insurgents, accusing it of human rights abuses. And it based its inability to sell weapon systems to Nigeria on that. Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Prof Ade Adefuye had on November 10 chided the United States of America for refusing to sell weapons to Nigeria to effectively contain the Boko Haram insurgency in Northern Nigeria, saying that the war against the insurgents would have been won long ago had the US agreed to sell weapons to Nigeria. http://theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=37340 |
Afam4eva:Well, I love the part you mentioned that "If you don't do things that are acceptable by popular culture, you risk being called every bad there is ". Certainly you are right, you see that is the African mentality, "If it is not my kind of God, then it is wrong or hell fire await such person". First, I will blame the individual for not taking time to ask questions before arriving at a spurious conclusion, or at least do a research about it. I think this is also because of fear and the popular concept "What will people say "?. A lot has changed in Africa, maybe because of technology. I also feel we are still in the elementary stages in Religion, as well as many other things in Africa. We shall get there some day. NOTE: I am a member of Eckankar, the religion of the Light and Sound of God. |
Asek1:From my own little perspective, corruption is no longer a major threat for now.Insurgency is a greater threat then followed by corruption, of which I feel that with development like this, corruption in high places will reduce. My opinion though!!! |
Seriously this is good news! Kai,how I wish insurgent will stop in Nigeria, we would have been a great nation in no too distant time. I somehow feel that Nigeria will be a great country. |

olajide8:So you consider the continual payment of fuel subsidy as a wise economic policy? Well, it is a bad fimancial strategy when there is economic downturn. |
Valued:Eckankar god? There is nothing like that. When I say Almighty God, I mean the God who loves all life, animals, the galaxies, including muslims, christians, Eckists, hindus, atheist, traditionalists, etc. For now the popular belief of major religion in the world is "If you do not belief in our god, then you will burn in hell fire for all eternity ". That is not the God I am talking about. |
Valued:We worship the Almighty God in a simple term. Note: The Almighty God is not religion associated |
@ OP, let me correct few errors you made about ECKANKAR. I am a member of ECKANKAR, The religion of the Light and Sound of God. It is registered with the Coporate affairs Commission as the third religion in Nigeria, the others being Christainity and Islam. We have a copy of our Holy Book The Sharyat-Ki-Sugmad in the Library of the National Assembly. It was externalised in 1965 by Paul Twitchel and not Johnpaul Twitchel as you highlighted. And more importamtly, members of Eckankar do not worship eck as you also stated. Please be properly guided.! |
Removal of oil subsidy is the first step to proper managing of the economy. |
@ Uchi, thank you. Let me check |

Says the scenario is unfortunate By Henry Umoru ABUJA- THE Presidency Thursday backed the Inspector – General of Police, Suleiman Abba who ordered heavily armed security operatives to block the National Assembly Complex where Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and other lawmakers were prevented from gaining access to the House to preside over the deliberation on the extension of emergency rule in the North-East. According to the Presidency, the Inspector- General of Police was not only carrying out his constitutional functions in his capacity as the number one police officer, but also carried out the assignment to protect lives and property, just as it described Thursday’s incident as unfortunate. Addressing Journalists Thursday, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe who noted that Suleiman Abba never invaded the National Assembly, but barricaded it said, “Assumption (on whether the police boss was acting on instruction from the President) should stop. The IGP is a very senior officer of the government and his duties are to enforce the law. “He doesn’t need to get the villa to enforce the law. He is not a house boy. Though he works under the government but he is expected to defend the law. IGP has the duty to enforce the law. He acted in the discharge of his duty. The IGP didn’t invade the assembly. It is wrong to assume that.” ” The whole scenario at the National Assembly today as we witnessed is rather unfortunate. We wish that at all times; national interest should supersede all other interests including personal and political interests. “From Government perspective, the overriding concern today is the issue of insurgency which necessitated the request by Mr President that the National Assembly considers an extension of the State of Emergency to give the Security forces the needed legal framework and space for a successful prosecution of the war against Boko Haram terrorists. “It is our hope that the Honorable members of the House of Representatives will use the period of adjournment to resolve all matters so that they can resume to deliberate and act on issues of National importance.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/11/nass-siege-presidency-backs-police-ig-says-carried-constitutional-functions/ |
seyola:A clueless student should repeat the class. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for 2019 |
I sincerely love this!!! In this mobile phone market, patience is always the watchword. |
I wonder how event unfold in life. Many years ago some section of the country were celebrating the ban by NAFDAC of this drug. Today, the story seem to be different, at least from the comment I have read so far. What lesson do I learn from this : Never give up in your dreams, someday, one person may see the importance of what you are doing." Most scientist with great discoveries only got known when they are getting ready to leave this earth. Some have even died before their works become popular. |

To me o! , reincarnation is very real. Most African tradition support Karma and its brother reincarnation. It is more logical and scientific than "It is appointed unto man, once to die and after which the judgement " #TEAMECKANKAR |
If they say GEJ has failed, then allow him to repeat now! Afterall a student that fail a class always repeat. |
Wish him good luck |
The questioned would have been "How can I know a God loving suitor? " because you cannot fear something at same time love it. I have seen very kind moslems as well as very honest and God loving members of ECKANKAR. |
It is a very good thing she decide to go. Most witnesses will be very proud, and in fact have a strong argument why it is better to go through that way.An alien religion, that came to Africa, now one is ready to die for it.!! She will learn in her next incarnation! |
