In Tokyo’s Chuo Ward lies a restaurant that refuses service to anyone who smells like cigarette smoke. That does not only apply to smokers either. If you’re piggy-backing the scent of a friend who smokes or just happened to be in a smokey bar prior to visiting, then no curry for you.
In front of Kyobashiya Curry customers are greeted with a large poster laying down the law of the land.

"The finer print also explains that while the rule is primarily for smokers, it also applies to anyone with any aggressive smell such as cologne. Also, if someone enters without a smell but ducks out for a cigarette part-way through and then re-enters, they and every member of their party must pay a 3,000 yen (US$27) nuisance fee.
It’s a rather brash message by Japanese standards, but manager Tomoyo Yukino is convinced it is for the greater good. In order for his customers to enjoy his curry to the fullest, they must be able to savor the aroma of curry spices in their purest form."

An accident occured yesterday, 30th May, 2016 at the 3rd Mainland bridge in Lagos. The accident involved a danfo bus (a commercial bus used in Lagos) and the occupants sustained a high degree of injuries. The pictures below are very graphic, not for the faint hearted.

The first of 219 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram from Chibok in northeast Nigeria more than two years ago has been found.

Amina Ali was discovered in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno state by civilian vigilantes assisting the military on Tuesday.Ms Ali, who was 17 when she was abducted, has reportedly had a child while in captivity.

According to a local spokesperson, she is now with her family in her home town of Mbalala, near Chibok.

'She met her parents, who recognised their daughter before she was taken to the military base in Damboa,' Ayuba Alamson Chibok, a community leader in Chibok, said.

'Her father's name is Ali and the girl's name is Amina.'

Yakubu Nkeki, head of the Abducted Chibok Girls Parents' group, also confirmed her name and said she was 17 when she was abducted.

He added: 'She's the daughter of my neighbour... They brought her to my house.'

'I can confirm that one of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls was among rescued persons by our troops,' army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman said in a statement.

'She was carrying a baby but I do not know whether it is aboy or girl,' Lawan Zannah, secretary of the association of parents of missing Chibok girls said.

Popular Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh and Nollyood actress Dami Adegbite, got married in February 2015 after they welcomed their first child in September 2014. Since then, the couple has been crazy about each other and showing each other love on social media.
Now to the interesting part. Today, May 17, is Chris' birthday and his wife, Dami, has not yet wished him a happy birthday (at least not to the knowledge of social media). Have things suddenly gone sour? *concerned fan*

Instead of interacting with lawmakers as scheduled today in the House of Representatives, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, was stopped from entering the chamber, as opposition lawmakers blocked him.A rowdy session reportedly ensued after a motion was moved that Mr. Kachikwu be admitted to the chamber for the special session, scheduled for noon.

Members belonging to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party held several Nigerian flags, chanting anti-government slogans, and insisting that Mr. Kachikwu should not be admitted to the chamber.

"All we are saying is save Nigeria," the opposition lawmakers chanted, just as House Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, was moving a motion for Mr. Kachikwu’s admittance to the House.

The Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, was eventually able to restore order at 12:43 p.m.

The Minority Leader, Leo Ogor, thereafter moved that the House dissolve into a closed-door session “to resolve pending controversial issues.” The House then went into executive session.

The lawmakers had invited the oil minister to explain the rationale for the new fuel pricing and supply framework introduced by government last week.
