The way and manner that child molestation is going in Nigeria, its only God that will save us. Peter, who is said to be about 12, is being battered regularly by the woman who is supposed to be taking care of him. A concerned neighbour at their home at 14b Oluakerele Balogun bustop off Awolowo way in Ikeja sent his photos asking for help for the boy. In the photo on the left, you can see one of his eyes is shut ...this was from a recent beating! Can the authorities look into this?

Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has ordered the replacement of all striking resident doctors in the various government teaching hospitals. In a circular released today June 21st, the Minister said the striking doctors failed to attend their training programmes despite ongoing negotiations and so their vacancies should be filled up with other doctors that have before now sent in their applications.

Read the circular signed by the spokesperson of the ministry, Boade Akintola..

“It has come to the notice of the Management of the Ministry that some Resident Doctors in your establishment have voluntarily withdrawn from the Residency Training Program by refusing to report for training without authorization. Public Service Rule, PSR 030402 (e) is relevant. This is in spite of the ongoing negotiations on their demands put forward by the representatives of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) under the auspices of the Nigerian Medical Association. In view of this development, you are hereby directed to replace all the Doctors that have withdrawn their services, with others from the pool of applicants for the training programs in the various disciplines in order not to create ominous gap in training with attendant disruption of health care delivery in your facility. Meanwhile, the ministry is working with the panel on the review of the Residency Training Program in Nigeria, led by Professor Wole Atoyebi, the Registrar of the National Postgraduate Medical College, to fast-track the development of a comprehensive blueprint for postgraduate training of doctors in the country. Please, ensure immediate compliance.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the Assistant Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim Kpotum Idris as the Acting Inspector General of Police. Kpotum Idris, who hailed from Niger state, was also a Commissioner of Police in Kano state before his last posting as AIG Operations.

A reader sent this shocking video of the condition of one side of the airport in Owerri during heavy rainfall yesterday. In the video, an official can be seen trying to prevent him from taking pictures or recording any video, saying 'It is a no camera zone'. The government definitely needs to urgently fix up that airport.

Two male suicide bombers who strapped IEDs on their bodies stormed Kusari area near CBN Staff Quarters in Maiduguri at about 6:45 am earlier today. The suicide bombers were however shot and killed by Civilian Joint Tax Force in the state before they could detonate the devices.

Before and after: She is called Claudianne Joseph, is 58 years old. We would meet her in the corner with a bowl in hand,(PORT AU PRINCE, HAITI) she would ask, when seeing me, she says ,"Please give me a gift of something to eat." My heart was touched. As I saw her, I learned that she has breast disease, and the breast would leak blood. She is sick on both of her breasts, one becomes reasonably healed. But the other has yet to be reasonably healed.

She said that she lost one of her bra in her house when she found it she wore it her breast become infected. I bought food for her, bought her clothes, got her bathed and groomed her. The saddest thing is that she had 9 children. But only one lives who is 15 years old. Her husband died too. When I had heard this, I deemed it necessary to give her a little trade, because there are situations you see a person you can not just pray for them or give them food for a day. I want to give her something she can sustain with everyday, don't give a person fish everyday teach them how to go fishing then they wont ask you everyday.

Words without actions does not mean anything. I feel proud and humble for the work The Lord have gave me. Always remember that you do not need politicians to help your country. Compassion is a great weapon; to help someone is self help. great day because you are alive. Compassion is a weapon! HELP us with a Donation please.
