This argument makes no sense at all...Nigerian Universities offer medicine and engineering courses as well and these courses have not provided any direct value to our present economic conditions considering the excess talents and limited job opportunities (supply exceeding demand) in Nigeria. We must maximize the potentials of other courses to solve this problem. As usual, Nigeria is still struggling to grasp the potentials of the creative industry and how to commercialize it. That's why we make these stupid arguments. Lastly, it should be noted that philosophy gave birth to science and every solution started from a philosophical point of view. If these courses are irrelevant, the white men who we revere so much would have scrapped them by now. Social retrogression is the problem of Africa. |

ElsonMorali: I fault your logic.
A child's mind is always blank at birth and gradually filled by the impressions s/he forms or is formed for them.
Garbage in, garbage out.
You've just declared yourself a failure and not worthy to raise a child, whether boy or girl. ;DMay your days be long |

I'm sure the company didn't include calculus in the questions. Maths is more than addition and subtraction..it is logical thinking in numbers. The process is meant to show one's thought pattern. If they all test you on your strengths then how would they know your weakness? Life scenario doesn't test you on your strengths. There is no clear cut pattern to determine the best candidate for a role. Even some companies that include case studies still get underperforming candidates after all said and done. Interview process is akin to bet9ja, the best prediction model isn't always right but you don't discard it based on one error. |

jeffucee10: Churches should start paying tax cos all we see they do is buying cars, private jets, private schools which has nothing to do with the gospel. If your argument is on taxing the schools, and other businesses within the church environment, then yes I totally support that but to tax the offering..NO. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Nigerian Churches Be Taxed By The Government? Share Your Opinion by Saintzykie: 10:46am On Oct 05, 2017 |
obailala: Money received as donations, freewill givings, tithes etc should not be taxed as that would amount to double taxation (the original giver would have already been taxed). However, income from church businesses such as expensive universities, executive jet leasing, printing presses etc should be taxed. Bless you! Point Blank! |

Samsimple: is that an insult Yes it is. You must not call somebody a fool before you know it is an insult. Insults can come in any form, including ignoring somebody can be a form of insult. You had no right to call anyone gullible because you despise their beliefs systems. |

What I don't get is why people have a problem with what other people do with their own money. You did not contribute to a cause yet you are asking for accountability. If you believe you are free and not like others who are brainwashed then why not enjoy your freedom in silence? No one talks about the poor pastors or the ones who ensure the poor members are fed. Why not open your own charity organization and ask for donations too? Trust me a lot of people will give. |

Aeker: I feel no sense of entitlement, sir. I have roamed the streets of Kano and Kaduna seeking teaching jobs and all sorts - all to no avail. I recognize that I have to start from somewhere.
Thanks. By now, there are some comments you shouldn't be replying. Concentrate on those that have offered you ideas on how to start. Anyone blasting you by telling you how he or she struggled before making it, is actually the one feeling self-entitled. Trust me, life is not black and white. You just need to appreciate yourself more, change your approach and perception and watch the others will follow suit. Instead of offering you advice, they would love to work with you. Boast about your skills and package your self better. For example, in Lagos, tailoring is no longer called or viewed by that name; they call it fashion design and a lot of folks are into that field. Buzz me when you are free. I'll link you to other writers. |
