seunny4lif:With all these nonsense, it'll be the 8th wonder of the world if Zelensky and his entire cabinet are not publicly hanged after the war. I mean, you know the war is a futile one, but you keep sacrificing the future of Ukraine at the behest of the West! |
ariesbull:Turning your statements and articles into religious banters only make you look silly. Every sensible individual here supports good against evil, regardless of their religion, so continue to do the same too. |
Mrexcell:Which America would readjust their lifestyle? Maybe you're referring to South America, but not the United States of America This might be the reality maybe in the '40s but not the America of 2025. By the time the average Joe and Karen cannot get their daily fix of Hot Dog and Kool-Aid, then Trump would know what he has gotten himself into. |
Gerrard59:Exactly! Every right-thinking person would definitely support China. And it's already clear that America won't survive this self-immolation. |
WriterrNg:Lolz... Nobody would show up to your poorly laid table. For God's sake “104% tariffs on Chinese goods?" That’s just economic self-immolation in red, white, and blue! You peeps should continue shooting yourself in the foot, hoping China limps first. I won't be surprised that they know some of the move that China will pull especially when the alarm is coming from the country that invented currency manipulation, printed trillions in stimulus, and has weaponized the dollar more times than it’s defended democracy abroad. Everyone now knows that your obsession with tariffs will only boomerang. Want higher prices on electronics, clothing, and machinery? Congratulations, you just taxed your own people while pretending to punish China. U.S. manufacturers will choke on inflated supply costs, and the average American household will feel the burn at the checkout line, not in Beijing. So before Secretary Bessent throws any more rocks, he might want to check if his house is built with glass, because economic short-sightedness like this is a guaranteed way to break every window in the house of U.S. commerce. |
Kingsnairaland:He who is down, needs fear no fall; He who is low, has no pride—John Bunyan. At this point, Iran has little to lose and ought to have completed their nuclear enrichment. The best form of protection for Iran is building Nuclear weapons in their 100s and not building foreign bases in their soil. Except there's something Iran is not telling the world, I still find it surprising as to why they back down from building Nuclear weapons. It's just annoying. By now, I expected them to have tens of nuclear warheads at standby, aimed at their enemies' major cities across the world and ready to fire at a moment's notice. I'm sure if Trump knows that New York, San Francisco, Washington, Houston, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Tel-Aviv are just minutes away from being turned to Nuclear Wastelands, he'd have toned-down the arrogance. America and Co do not understand peaceful dialogue. They only understand force, savage force. |
ednut1:Welcome to American Hypocrisy 101. |
Chonchin:Lolz. Hope you know China is one of the biggest market for Apple products. You think the Chinese government is daft? If Apple and other American manufacturing firms make that mistake of moving out of China arrogantly, the CCP have many ways of screwing them over....High tariff is one. USA and their assets, like every other country are also vulnerable. |
OChimex:Both countries would feel the impact. The US is not the Alpha and Omega in everything and they'll be severely hit. You need to understand that cheap labour is only one piece in the puzzle. Have you considered the fact that China has the most complete and integrated supply chain in the world, especially in sectors like electronics, textiles, automotive, and machinery. No other country comes close and would come close in many years to come regardless of how the Billions in USD poured into them. Also, for a country producing nearly 30% of the world's output, well both agree that hurting them in any way comes with serious consequences. Plus, those countries you mentioned, especially Vietnam, and Mexico have substantial Chinese investments in their manufacturing sector. In essence, lots of goods coming from them are "Chinese" in everything except the place of production. There's nothing "idiotic" about China, Trump is just grasping a straws. Like I mentioned earlier, every reasonable person wants China to triumph, that way the US would be put in their place. |
spiSeyi:Now this is someone with sense and decorum talking. Every sane human regardless of their tribe, race and religion needs to pray that China, Russia and the Axis win this economic war over the demonic West. Everyone is tired of hypocrisy, genocide and wokeism. Some comments made earlier has led me to firmly believe that either Nairaland has been invaded by bots and paid Western agents or some people choose to be deliberately stupid. One even stated that Africa will dump Chinese goods. Dump them for whose goods exactly? China is the reason most Africans now own a smartphone and use sophisticated gadgets. Left to the West, they'll prefer to make those gadgets unaffordable for us. But some goats on this forum would prefer to support the West, who have never hidden their disdain for us over China. Very unreasonable set of people. |
Mrexcell:Both countries would suffer significantly, but in the end, US will take the biggest hit. Let's say in the short-medium term, China will lose more, but at the long run the US will be the major loser. This is because there's almost no immediate substitute for Chinese products in any part of the world. Plus the Americans are too accustomed to a very cushy lifestyle to want to even delay any gratification. Plus he's busy isolating his allies and sanctioning countries he can alternatively turn to for daily needs products if China decides to Bleep him over. His recent policy seems to me like he's deliberately sabotaging America. |
jayce232:America was the major force behind China's growth and development, nobody is denying that. Even that was done with an ignoble intention. The days of America singlehandedly bringing down heavyweights is long gone. If it succeeds in doing that, it would be a phyrric victory for them. I'm sure you can guess what comes ect after that. |
benels: ![]() |
danzaki63:Exactly. I'll pick Kaduna over most cities in that list. |
Ppogbae:Poor comprehension is the bane of people like you. Our concern is that health care institutions at the grassroot level pan-Nigeria is in a moribund state and needs urgent maintenance and supplies. Why build more when existing ones cannot effectively serve their purpose? If our PHCs are fully functional, our tertiary health institutions would be decluttered and effectively serve their purpose. And you must be thoroughly hallucinating to think I'm an Obi supporter. So anyone who criticizes the president's policy or offers a better solution now automatically becomes an Obidient. How low and confused can you go? |
Godfullsam:Exactly. I dare say 90% of the PHCs in Nigeria are in urgent need of maintenance, upgrade and supplies. Fixing them to the highest standard would be more beneficial than establishing thousands upon thousands more which may suffer the same fate after few years... |
Not surprised. Talks abound about her legendary level of stinginess is everywhere. I would not be surprised if she has forgotten all about the detainees. May we not encounter unfortunate destiny-killers. |
WriteerNg:Rubio, America’s proud parrot in a suit. The man says, “China is working on the largest military expansion in its history, and we must confront it,” while conveniently forgetting that the U.S. has been speedrunning military expansion since the Cold War... and never hit pause. ![]() Let’s break it down: America is home to 800+ foreign military bases, spends more on defense than the next 10 countries. Yet they act shocked when someone else dares to play catch-up. It’s like the heavyweight champ whining that someone at the gym is lifting too hard. Rubio talking about “confronting” China is peak irony. The same government that dropped democracy out of a B-52 in Iraq and sold freedom at gunpoint in Afghanistan now wants to lecture the world about military restraint? ![]() And let’s not pretend this concern is purely noble. When the U.S. confronts another power, it usually comes with drone strikes, regime changes, and conveniently timed arms deals. Rubio warning us about military buildup is like the arsonist yelling “fire!” Except this time, the smoke’s coming from a country that learned from the master. ![]() |
WriteerNg:Lolz, yeye people. The same navy that once “ruled the waves” by enslaving half the world and stealing spices they never learned to use. These glorified pirates wrapped in red coats and arrogance spent centuries pretending they were spreading “civilization,” when all they did was spread smallpox, suffering, and tea that tastes like boiled regret. Very soon ordinary clusters of fishermen in canoes would be able to soundly defeat "His Majesty's fleet". ![]() |
EponObi:Totally on point. Too naïve and indiscreet to be a politician, a Nigerian politician at that. Even if you are the oppressed one, you don't attack powerful people directly, rather you stoop humbly to conquer. This is because if they feel threatened enough, they have the system in place to ruin the individual. Her shenanigans in the chamber that day, coupled with the way she was addressing her constituency shows pride written all over her. With the way she's going, no powerful and influential politician or tycoon will want to side her publicly. Who wants to deprive themselves of benefits because of one loose cannon who's filled with pride and arrogance? Nobody. |
It's like the entire legislative arm is high on TNT What's with all these bills of late, both beneficial and ridiculous ones? |
Kobicove:Sadly, as much as I detest the crazy American expansionist and hypocritic agenda, Greenland is already conquered in everything but name, and that'll follow suit soonest. Do you think those US officials need any clearance to enter the Island? Even the Danish PM has resigned to that reality. She's just blowing grammar to save face. In a way, those Europeans deserve everything that's coming to them from the US. The truth is IF America also wants to take Canada, they'll do it regardless of any backlash. Forget about the barks of the Canadian officials, the US will do that with minimal government resistance Nevertheless, there's no bigger hypocrite like the US, and like all other filthy empires before it, it'll also implode no doubt about that, it's just a matter of time. |
WriterrNg:Ibro the GOATED!! When you see a patriot, you immediately know. ![]() |
Mindlog:This is painful but very stupid of him. I once knew about someone like him t too. He wanted to run to Canada with another lady, then planned to abandon his wife and kid in Nigeria. This wife is totally awesome and helpful lady. Then Canada struck and reduced visa quotas for student. Long story short, their marriage is really in turbulence now. The painful part was that the girl's dad never wanted her to marry him. I find it bizarre as to why a man would decide to ditch his biggest support system and behave like a coward. I mean, when done the right way, she'll literally have your back (work support, intimacy, prayers etc). But no, they'll want to behave like a possessed person. So sad to think about. |
This is an inaccurate comparison and a slight on a large number of hardworking girls in Nigeria. ![]() While many have embraced hookup and associated vices, there are others who still choose to hustle responsibly to the extent of their capability which can be; Catering, trading, makeup etc. As a matter of fact, many want to work, but there's nothing for them to do. China is fully industrialized and further equipped with strong, enforceable laws protecting women from harassment. None of that is applicable here in Nigeria. If for instance such centre is here in Nigeria and staffed with exceptionally beautiful women, some morally bankrupt men would still be the ones pressuring these women for sex and force them to engage in hookup. So abeg, hardworking women exists in both countries. |
kedeojo:Bro, SAROAFRICA is no small investor o. They own the majority share in Presco and also own the Parent group of Presco—SIAT. They acquired thousands upon thousands of hectares in the Bendel region for Ethanol and Oil Palm plantation. However, most part of Presco's business structure will not be touched save the management. |
SultanYoung:Hello @SultanYoung, the maxim "anything black man touch , black man kills" cannot be true in this case. Do you know who owns the Saroafrica Group? That's Rasheed Sarumi!! As a fresh graduate then, he grew the group from a single company to a 5 subsidiary behemoth within a space of 30-years. The company has arguably some of the best Agric and FMCG brands and pays arguably the most competitive salary in the Agribusiness, Agro-allied and FMCG sector in Nigeria. Their pay package dwarfs lots of those mouth-watering firms that you know in the sector. Besides, the current Manager is a seasoned Indian-Nigerian businessman. So you see... |
Xisnin:Exactly. And it's far more superior and prestigious to work and attain it than than to lobby or depend on the discretion of an institution to issue you the title. Even when given as an award, it's very limited in scope and has low recognition. |
Ernchibyke:Spot on. However, recipients of Honoris Causa titles are not to use the "Dr" title professionally and personally. The university that confers the degree on them may however, refer to them as "Doctor". The university can also add the title to the awardee's name by placing it in a bracket. E.g (Dr) Somatus Muchexe. This is to avoid confusing them with real PhD holders and Medical Doctors. A PhD (and it's equivalents) are prestigious degrees and will remain so for a long time to come. |
zed7:Sir, permit me to send 2 cartons of Fayrouz Soft drink to your residence. This is spot on. Yes, we all know that the economy is harsh and unfriendly. However, the default mindset of every man (with a good wife) should be to strive to be able to fully shoulder the bills at home. One should not go into marriage with the expectation that she should take half of the bills. If a man has this as his default mindset, then he should also be ready to do a substantial part of the house chores and also be ready to tolerate some occasional disrespect. Though it is very important to marry a woman of like-mind for it to effectively work. |
mannyx:This is a bone-chilling story. With the excellent agricultural conditions in Cross-River, that place ought to be swimming with all kinds of exotic meat. That zone ought to be declared a no-access zone for tourists and non-residents. Very nauseating Neanderthals. Thanks for taking your time to narrate this. |
mannyx:So it's true that they still practice it? Cross River has a lush landscape and very fertile lands. That place is a potential paradise on earth that can be used to rear all kinds of animals—chicken, goats, exotic cattle etc. But those disgusting peeps still chose to engage in abomination. Please gist us on your experience abeg. |
The man says, “China is working on the largest military expansion in its history, and we must confront it,” while conveniently forgetting that the U.S. has been speedrunning military expansion since the Cold War... and never hit pause.
