Gerrard59:@Dr Gerrard59, after reading the previous response of the moniker you quote, I lost interest in whatever further response the guy had to give. He's foul-mouthed, dumb, disrespectful and arguing from an emotional POV. You see, like what you've been saying Nigeria has some of the worst set of hypocrites in the world. Nigeria's version of Wokeism is just to nonsensical. Just of recent in the previous Eid, so of them that do patronize Chicken Republic to eat Rice and Chicken were faulting Muslims for slaughtering Rama during Eid. Jarus can easily claim self-defense. Obviously, someone sitting on your head and choking you is out to exert serious damage or kill you. I've known Jarus and his story for years. Whoever knows him will attest to the fact that he's a good son, husband and father, no disputing that. Every human has his weaknesses and I'm not saying he's a saint, but Jarus scores far above the pass-mark when it comes to his family's welfare. Is it not clear enough that not monogamy can not work for everyone, same with polygamy. As a matter of fact, some prefer to marry more than one wife, rather than to sneak around and commit adultery around, which is rampant. Baby Mamaism is celebrated, but Polygamy is condemn. Aren't Wokeist very confused? Like you said, NOTHING and I repeat, NOTHING will happen to Jarus. |
jumper524:Brother, too much Alcohol and eating forbidden meats—404 and co. has weakened them. For God's sake, useless people that you're supposed to Eliminate and clear all their rubbish hideouts, burn their filthy bodies and send a video across; you're taxing each other out to pay their levies. This is too too barbaric. |
Slytiger:I'm afraid your first phrase is incorrect. In "Islamic Law", it is actually a very big sin to deny a widow and the children of the deceased access to their husband/father's inheritance. You could extend your last sentence further that women are not ideally supposed to "open their legs" to anyone before marriage. Thanks. |
Namaster:I have echoed something similar before: https://www.nairaland.com/8120783/bandits-destroy-crops-after-collecting/1#130416256 When your livelihood and your very life becomes threatened, and help is far away, (justified) self-defence is well permitted. |

Valentinooo:Then they end up making the child vulnerable to bullying, exploitation and initiation into vices at a young age. If you so much value your work over your child, while bother giving birth, that's irresponsible. At the end of the day they spend their fortunes taking the child to rehabs, police stations and fake pastors. Ndi busy parents. |
Well done Op @Lanrelagboi for not yielding to such pressure. The major reason we Nigerians rush kids through school is solely to brag. It's not uncommon to hear a parent boast that "My 7-year-old son is in JSS2". It is not a cool thing to do! Let your child organically progress. Your child might be book smart at a very young age, Yes! But let them develop physically, psychologically and emotionally too. Europeans and Asians don't take such nonsense as a norm, but only Africans who have never put a thought as to why the educational system is structured that way, thinking they know better. The son of my former Lebanese neighbor is 15 or 16 and I think he's just writing his Junior WAEC. Dude has been acing all his subjects effortlessly with minimal competition. Such child will almost never be bullied. We might think it's cool and cliche, but the physical, psychological and emotional toll it takes on children is unimaginable. This is coupled with the annoying fact that break-time and P.E classes for children are fast disappearing in schools. Primary 6 is more or less an optional class now. Too bad. In the end, all these becomes counterproductive, as the child may struggle to cope with a class unsuitable for their age. Many children end up being taken advantage of, bullied, sexually harassed and initiated into vices. |

Lolz. Nigerians are looking for way to survive instead of thriving. Is it not about time we call those who put us in this shit in order. Call them out to secure our farms and nation, compel them to reduce all import taxes on agro inputs and give tax holidays to Agro inputs manufacturers in Nigeria. While doing this, pressure our research institute to work with Advanced nations to come up with an effective way of eradicating these pests and diseases. We won't do all these, but keep giving the loot sharers more incentive to punish us for our foolishness and docility. By the time the bandits start attacking pumpkin farmers, who knows what we'll turn to as substitute. |
panpan:You're one intelligent person that knows what's up. I guess we are slowly waking up to their plans. By the time 3 fingers of plantain goes for 5k. Maybe we'll fully wake up. |
So sad. I can't believe these people are still waiting for the government to protect you? Definitely you're peaceful and easy-going communities who don't want problems. But they'll keep killing you and raping your women if you don't act. Nigerians don't really know that there is an all-out war on us, and this is a well orchestrated war on our food security and resources. Their plan (the local & foreign sponsors) is to make us food import-dependent for life. Then kill us with their own 'food' after draining us of our resources. Definitely, those bandits are not up to 100. You have the number and the will. Uba Sani is too busy with propaganda to help you. They can simply arm themselves as dangerously as thet can (Dane guns, guns from black market, cutlasses, sharp tools, sickles etc.) lay ambushes and exterminate those useless drug addicts called bandits as much as possible. Burn their enclaves, exert confessions as much as you can, seize their weapons, and make public video of them. Yes, some will die, but die honorably rather than like a chicken. Also make public example of any saboteur among you. Let me see any bastard official that will query you. Only cure such kind of violence with more violence. |

RussellRutherfo:I'm talking to human beings with their senses and brain matter intact. Not dogs and fools that do not hesitate to show their poor home training and lack of respect for others. You deserve no further reply so don't waste your time quoting me further. Thanks. |
My God! See how they sickly twist the holy teachings of Islam for their nonsensical aims. Make no mistake, Government officials (and international agents) are definitely involved in this whole nonsense. Which 'Islamic' Country do they want? To be ruled by who? A murderous drug addict with zero knowledge of Islam. No, not going to happen! They simply want to carve out Borno and all the Sahelian States filled with uranium and precious metals at the behest of their local/foreign masters. It's like we Nigerians don't understand the war in our hands. Farmers are being killed, inflation is galloping and insecurity reigns supreme. Now that EU has increased their Visa Fees; by the time a dozen more countries restricts us from visiting their respective countries and they also start deporting us, only then would we open our eyes. |
Lanruze:Nice post. However, there's a point of correction, if I may. Adeboye only established a Professorial Chair and had a PhD from Unilag, but he isn't a Professor. Cheers. |
Alamkir: ![]() AI will definitely cause wahala in no distant future. We seem to think AI is all about pre-programmed scripts and Algorithms. But it's much more that oo. |
Luckysbab:Something tells me a lot of them are paid agents locally and/or internationally to infiltrate nairaland and rally support for the barbarians desecrating the Holy Land of Jerusalem. Just look at their Usernames and dates of registration. You'll observe a pattern. Because I wonder how a human being with their brain intact will support what's going in Gaza. |
Originalsly:Mr Originalsly, don't even waste your time, their dumb and hypocritical brain will never be able to comprehend it. It eludes me how people who are still reeling from the effects of the Nigerian Civil war that killed them in their millions would support a blood thirsty apartheid country to unleash democide on a civilian population. |
Despite our population, we have business suffering food insecurity. Nigerian food security to me seems to be deliberately sabotaged. Their ought to be tax cuts and subsides on companies dealing with farm implements and agro inputs. Insecurity needs to be tackled and herdsmen also need to be decisively dealt with. But it's aeronautical sciences to our leaders I guess. Too hard for them to figure out. |
99thEnemy:I prefer working with Gemini when it comes to many topics and area of interest. |
Procashtips:Very true. Plus ethnic Jews and their Rabbis hate the Zionist regime to the core. The current imposter state of Israel is going down disgracefully. Only a matter of time. |
2shure:Maybe your own procedure wasn't properly carried out. 7 visits seem too much. Plus some people don't mind spending anything to save their teeth. Everybody's value things differently. Thanks. |
Ouchbabe:It is good that he quickly goes to the dentist to fill it up especially if he's feeling any pain. But slight correction though, even if the pulp is infected, the tooth can still be saved with Root Canal Therapy rather than extraction. |
Sheuns:This is true. @Lutherblaq, please let him undergo Root Canal Therapy ASAP. I also started mine two weeks ago and completed it last week Saturday. The infected pulp will be removed, weekly treatment will be administered for two weeks, drugs will also be given. Then on the 3rd week, if thoroughly healed, it will be filled, depending on the choice and strength of filling that you want. Though it was quite painful o. The whole thing with registration, X-ray, Scaling and Polishing of my teeth cost me about 80k. It's totally worth it o. Though with crowning it will shoot up significantly. Though I also plan to do that after the coming festivities. Other people might simply go for extraction which is cheaper. But I love my tooth, plus the funds, was available. Happy healing. |
DeepSight:@Deepsight, bulk of the current Jews in Israel today are only Jews by association, not by ethnicity. Any wonder why they have no respect for the Holy City of Jerusalem. What many fail to realize is that most of the real Jewish people (by ethnicity) do not support Satanyahoo. Only on Nairaland will you see people supporting others (who hate them) just to spite the others. Being a Christian in Israel means debasement, being an African means doubles debasement. Saladdin (May God Bless Him) was one of the most noblest Generals from his time down to the modern day. (I chose his name as my moniker). He understood the significance of the Holy land of Jerusalem to Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Hence, he tried to preserve it's sanctity. While the Europeans Crusaders were rulling the city, they killed, raped and punished the Jews. When Saladdin the great conquered Jerusalem, he did so without destroying the city, nor seizing the properties of others, nor raping nor shedding innocent blood. He treated his PoW with the highest respect and courtesy and even forgave many of his enemies, despite their atrocities. He also allowed Non-Muslims access to it while he could have claimed it alone, and rightfully so. This is what the current barbarians in Israel and their supporters on Nairaland needs to know. Anyone or group of people organizing gay parades, commiting murder and desecration can only be of the devil, not God. Satanyahoo and co will definitely be disgraced. |
olaiya2007:I dey tell you bro. Even the "Arise" sef, many of us don dey forget. |
jaksmillioniar:She's Shuwa Arab (through her mum). Though she can easily be mistaken for a Fulani. |
maasoap:Bro, any wonder why Nigeria is unnecessarily hard down to the communal level. For God's sake, even common fruits! See how the man you quoted was justifying the landlord's action (though I understand that some tenants too are wicked). I used to have one landlord like that. He doubles as a pastor, but he's the opposite of what he preaches and also the definition of pure evil and very fetish. This I saw with my very own eyes Because he's got the police and some judges in his pocket, He throws people out in the rain, he sleeps with widows and female members of his church, he takes over people's properties. I hated the man right from when he threw someone out and also made an attempt on my pet cat's life. But before I left the house, I dragged the modafucker to Civil Defence and treated his fuckup well. He was very surprised, and my action emboldened other tenants to take similar action. I heard that he was locked up by another tenant in that same Civil Defence Cell. To this day, he keeps telling people that I took him to Civil Defence. Don't allow any useless person to trample on your rights and walk scot-free. |
May 19th. Just another Sunday? Not a chance. Today, the air crackles with a potent mix of remembrance and revelation. Here's the story: I binged on the series "Godfather of Harlem" this week, completely floored by the portrayal of Malcolm X. Yesterday was when I ended the last episode of Season 3. For those who have watched the series, that particular episode was too tense, as it ended with a chilling and tragic portrayal of Malcom X's death. That night, it reignited a fire in me, a need to understand the man beyond the soundbites. Little did I know, the very next day was his birthday. Coincidence? I doubt. May 19th also happens to be Malcolm X's birthday. 99 years, can you believe it? It's been 59 years since his voice was silenced, but his message still echoes and his Spirit fills more alive than ever. Malcolm X wasn't your sugar-coated civil rights leader. He was raw, he was real, and he spoke a truth that resonated with the deepest frustrations of Black America. He wasn't afraid to call out injustice, to demand dignity, and to fight for a future where Black people could stand tall. His words were a battle cry, a call to arms for self-determination and Black pride. Maybe his methods were unorthodox, maybe they challenged the comfortable narrative. But that's exactly what the movement needed: a jolt, a wake-up call. He wasn't a saint, but greatness rarely comes wrapped in a neat package. History needs to give Malcolm X his due, not downplay him because his message made white America squirm. His voice was a clarion call for Black pride and self-determination. Because let's be honest, Malcolm X's impact on Black consciousness dwarfs that of Dr. King. King's dream of equality was a beacon of hope, but Malcolm X's fight for justice was the fire that fueled the movement. His ideals deserve a global stage, a place in every classroom across America and Africa. Today, on his 99th birthday, let's celebrate Malcolm X. Let's remember the firebrand, the visionary, the man who dared to speak truth to power. We, the future, owe him a debt of gratitude and a place of honor in the history books. Let Malcolm X's name be spoken with reverence, for he is a giant whose shoulders we all stand upon. Happy (posthumous) Birthday our beloved Alhaji Malik Shabazz (Malcolm X). May 19, 1925— Feb 21, 1965 The video below shows our self identity issues as black has not changed at all, it has only grown worse. 1:20-2:20 of the video will particularly interest you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_uYWDyYNUg?si=BiOVZQOO15F7dSSO

numericalguy:Bro, individuals like the one that quoted you will only leave you drained o. They're blind and grossly lack comprehension. That's how one daftie also quoted me without even reading the article properly. These people swim and thrive in collective blind hatred and stereotype of the North, including the so-called "Minister". They are needlessly expending the president's political capital. |
OgbeniOja1:Like I suspected, comprehension issues. That's wholly your problem not mine. People with already warped worldview are difficult to have a convo with. I'll not be responding to you anymore. |
