Christianity EtcRe: What Exactly Is God's Role in Natural Disasters? by salako: 11:53am On Oct 10, 2005
God is like a documentary film crew. Just watches all and records all, never gets involved with the subjects. Those who have died were not abandoned by God, it was just their time (Like Jesus). As for the rest of us, God continues to watch and record are actions.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Can you work for your country without money and fame? by salako: 11:43am On Oct 10, 2005
If you love your country, then you should be happy, that you are privileged enough to work for it.
If you want something extra in return, then, its just a job. In that case their is no real loyalty to the country, rather loyalty to whatever YOU can get from it for yourself.
Ask not what your country can do for you; Ask what you can do for your country. grin

HealthWhat Would Happen If All Drugs Were Legal, Everywhere? by salako(op): 3:02pm On Oct 09, 2005
Would it be good for society as a whole in anyway or not?
Is the 'war on drugs', designed to steer public attention away from real problems?
Should anybody impose their ideas on what we (as adults) can do with our own bodies?
Was FELA a good role model?

Please share your thoughts and ideas...

Thongs inspire lust.
They are designed to massage ones vanity.
Thongs are not in the interest of God. shocked
HealthRe: Abortion: A Right Or a Crime? by salako: 2:21am On Oct 08, 2005
If God come first in ones life then abortion is out of the question. It is a selfish act.
If ones interest is only their own; then any action is valid.
Christianity EtcRe: Life or Free Will: which is more important? by salako(op): 2:22pm On Oct 05, 2005
1. working for wealth is not controlling wealth.
2. losing wealth is not controlling wealth

Where did you find Deuteronomy 30:19 in my last post? I did not, quote the bible. shocked
If nobody can stand against life, how did Jesus die? All he had to do was give-up his beliefs, and he would have been speared.
He chose to be faithful to his beliefs at the risk of and his inevitable death. Was that violating gods law about life? i don't think so.
Tell me Layi - What decision do you think Jesus make when they threatened his life, to silence his beliefs? rolleyes
I believe the free will to observe gods laws, is of more value than life itself. wink

Christianity EtcRe: Life or Free Will: which is more important? by salako(op): 12:45pm On Oct 04, 2005
Well what I mean by free will is - what one has the power to control. One cannot control whether or not they become rich. One can only control ones actions.
Free Will is there to protect man from his vices (Anger, Vanity, Sloth, Gluttony, Greed, Envy & Lust), men that submit to (stop fighting) their vices live in violation of Gods commands.

It is easy to submit to these vices; once a man loses the will to fight his vices, he becomes misguided from God and a slave to his own desires as opposed to Gods.
Once a man is a slave only to his own desires, he automatically compromises any allegiance to God, and thus becomes a self-serving renegade in this world, that belongs to God and only God. We here are all servants and must conduct ourselves in that manner favourable to our Master.

Under no circumstances can a man commit suicide for the sake of free will. Suicide is a selfish action born out of vanity.

So in the respect to the question posed by myself. Free will is to be observed before life. For, if one chooses life over their will to observe Gods Laws then they live in violation of God and peace.
A life in sin (without God) is filled with fear, doubt and conflict.

Basically the rule is this: Someone will post a word, then the next poster has to post a word that reminds them of the previous one.

For example:

Orange

Fruit

Tree

etc etc etc etc Geddit?

So the first word of this game is:

'NAIJA'

vexxy:
Marriage vows are for better or for worse, sickness and in health, for richer or poorer till death do us part.

You said, "life may be cruel/real at times but it's a part of life. We must accept and deal with it." Is accepting and dealing with the fact that life is cruel and real shown by trading her in for another?

What if the same thing happens to the next one? That's not accepting and dealing, that's rejecting and side-stepping.
Your absolutely right. I was mocking (a bit) when i wrote the whole trading her in stuff.
In respect to the original question... Yes love will continue if there truly is love in the first place.

I am a skeptic when it comes to things like love, because it requires one to act on the bases that there is somebody equally as or more important as themselves.
To respect/'love' another person as one respects/'loves' oneself requires humility. I believe it is possible for man to possess enough humility to truly love, but the opposite or humility is vanity and that is a quality that is too abundant among men to justify the amount of people that declare love nowadays.

Love will continue (in regard to original question), but in most cases i thing people will find that love was never present in the first place.

why not? when she is paraplegic what else must be done? a man needs a fully functioning wife, not a useless invalid. same as a woman! life may be cruel/real at times but it a part of life. we must all accept and deal with it. people that try to hang on just become resentful (and that's just unnecessary).

L.O.L. I guess you have a point about that! But I don't know how one could define a relationship with coke a successful one. It kills you and it hurts those around you. undecided
First love is also painful, some women love abusive partners, criminals, soldiers (Mr. Die Any Day) and natural born bastards!
Second the people around you may hate your lover I.E. Romeo & Juliet. It happens!
Definition of successful coke addiction: When the addict is satisfied by a fix, and has the will/cash to get more.
You'll have to do better than that! tongue

But even with an overdose that coke relationship will last to the very end!
Til death to us part. One could argue that, overdosing is the end to a successful relationship.
People would say he/she died doing what they did best! tongue

Isn't love a lot like having a coke habit.
You become so attached to someone that even the thought of never seeing them again is unbearable.
You need to see them or speak to them just for the sake of it.

Christianity EtcRe: What Can You Die For? by salako: 7:26pm On Sep 30, 2005
I'm not sure whether you mean "what would i put my life on the line for?" or "What would i out right die for?"
So I'll answer both.
I'd put my life on the line to protect my integrity
I would never deliberately die that's called suicide.
If i ever died pushing someone i cared about from a speeding car (or something to that nature), my death would be purely accidental.
