I would like to throw this issue up for discussion.

I installed a number of 1.5kva 24v inverters(safepower, luminous, genius , sukham etc). After 10 months thereabout, the clients notified me of reduced number of hours of backup.
Preliminary checkes revealed a failing battery and in most cases, the most negative battery.

The same happens with INDIAN 48v inverters too.

Lets discuss the possible causes and solution.

My integrity has been badly affected as a result because I promised most of them 2yrs of useful battery life. The most annoying part is most clients are my senior colleagues at work...u all know what it means.

Please check if any of the mentioned inverters have setting for DOD. If this important safety control is not there, most times the batteries must have been pulled down to 100% DOD which will be more injurious to battery life. Also, most of these inverters must have come with 10 to 20A charging capacity which will be too small to deliver needed power to pull back the batteries fully from nearly zero SOC.

Keeping broilers in d cage is very good and for weight Gain u know that in cage system since d birds movement are limited they convert d Energy weight gain so having them in cages is very good even in cages they have reduced infection ratebut however d only problem is that as a result of their size and weight ur battery cages will be in constant repairs

Your points could be valid in view limitation of movement resulting to more weight gain and less infection spread. As regards the weight effects on battery cages, proper design and reinforcement should reduce damages.

At 2.8kg average weight for the broiler, that is quite a good result. How many weeks old as of the time of weighing and day old is a product of which hatchery?

The birds are eating as if it is Government work, consuming 5 bags of feed in a week,
While me way dey type never choup.

Work done so far and result quite great. So far:

1) Total Feed consumption in kg or Bags at 2 wks
2) Total expense on drugs
3) How many times have you changed the litter so
4) Total expense on heating purpose and method used

Answers to these will aid most that may want to venture into broiler breeding.
