So right now our current circumstance is good news? And monopoly or not, does the price not go up?

@Mercilicious and @Loco and others, I've been out of Stock market since Gej was about leaving.

I made disclosure then and I'm happy people are still doing well here.

I'm a political creature but not into politics, and i do not believe The current president and the possible team then.

Like many have encouraged diversification, properties bought 5 years ago would have yielded more than any valuable stock picked at random from a list.

I hope to come back to the market when at least we have a more credible (perceived) president, and economy team.
Always felt (and actually said) you were @myjoy, cause you texted (sounded) like him.
He left the market about that same time too after he thought he could pray and hope his way to making a profit, then changed his name to @Godisfaithful
And @Godisfaithful is not into politics but quite political

Travel / Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by salanda: 5:07pm On Jun 10, 2021
Guys if you want to go to Vietnam and study or you just have to go there, that's all well and good but there are some things you should consider.

First, the US embassy has been far more receptive to Nigerians like never before ever since Biden assumed power and repealed Trump's travel ban. It is so much easier to get American visit visa or student visa now and better still you can now try for an L1 Visa.
The US infrastructure plan proposed by Biden and already signed into law is also going to create an estimated "19 million jobs" of varied types. From what I have seen before now some Nigerians already in the US are making up to $3,000 (BT) a week as nurses/caretakers! I cannot even begin to list the numerous other advantages of chasing US visas. Even if it is easier to get Vietnamese visa than its American counterpart (which is most definitely unlikely now), it doesn't matter because we all know that nothing really worth having comes easy.

Second, how much is it really to get a visa, US or Vietnam? And if you are to get the help of a true, tested travel agent how much will they add on top? Why would anyone choose to spend more money in getting to Vietnam (where discrimination is higher and wages lower) than to US where you will make many times more in wages with even the opportunity to be a citizen?!
If you have to go to any country, do it yourself and if you can't, make sure you get that true connection to the travel agent you are dealing with so don't end up telling stories that touch the heart. Meeting someone on Nairaland that says you should send him/her money to get you visa is illegal and if the person disappears tomorrow with your money which police will you cry to?
A situation where someone has not even left the shores of Nigeria but is already sending thousands of dollars to an unidentified (undocumented) person on Nairaland claiming to be an agent or promising to hook you up with an agent is highly risky.

Third If your frame of mind is; I cannot get a visa myself because I don't know how, so I have to spend some money hiring a travel agent. Then by all means do so, but like I said be careful where you get your agent from so one doesn't get tied into illegal documentations, deceptions and scams. Also get a solid agent that can go that extra mile and actually facilitate an L1 Visa. They say whatever is worth doing is worth doing well.

GUINNESS

For a week now, why would any one spend almost a hundred million in total steadily buying (bidding) it @29.00 if they expect price to fall?

But I keep asking myself is this some form of reversed selling?

Do you buy shares based on what people say or write?

Better to buy based on your personal research and conviction

Ah! I meant what I said as an irony.

If they had come out when Japaul was @0.39, and said 'look I am hearing Japaul is doing this and Japaul is doing that so it might cause an appreciation in price...'
Or 'I think Japaul has hit its bottom @0.39 so I am buying...'
Not when it is now @0.58 then they come out with heroic tales of how they bought @0.39 or come out with some sort of analysis on why it should be going up.
NSEMPA is fond of this behaviour. Too many heroes and monkeyhunters.

I believe there is prospect here the question is when it will happen. I read somewhere they recently discovered large quantities of Lithium and Nickel in their Mines of Ja- oil ( I will share the link when I find it). Also their Financial book is cleaner after Access bank debts write-off.
My personal opinion though.

Why didn't you guys come out and say all these when it was trading @0.39, why @0.58?

Regular trading hours for the U.S. stock market, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Nasdaq Stock Market (Nasdaq), are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why is NSE trading hours 10am to 2.30pm, and still we pay higher in brokerage commission and related fees than US.

Nigerians are starting to leave the place for them - another failing institution from nigeria

Instead of throwing your money into a dumpsite why not look for a less privileged home and invest in them.
I don't think people always buy stocks for investment they also simply buy for a probable upside.

21th Jan TRANSCORP Shares Price Manipulations and Learnt lesson: cool cool cool NEWBIE EXPERIENCE

Following the 3days consecutive full bid on TRANSCORP, I successfully placed a buy order at 9:30am with an adjusted price of 10%, which was higher than the previous close (I used 1.40).

When trade eventually commenced, I realized my order was SWIFTLY filled (unlike the Mon, Tue and Wed). This made me uncomfortable so I decided to check the realtime trades only to realise that I had made a bluff because I could've bought lower. Technically this increased the average price of my holding because I bought some units when @megawealth called it out last week Friday.

Lessons:
1. Never get carried away by FULL BID.
2. Your pre-market buy order should always be lower or at par with previous closing price.

Never chase bulls I think is what you are implying because you eventually get in when you should be getting out.
@ 1.40 profit takers were already seeing 50% so at that price I knew there would be quite a lot of selling.
However I didn't expect such a turn around with the kind of bid that was chasing the stock and with the excitement being generated by some folks here.

BTW it's gaffe

Why disturbing your peace?
The force that takes it down is still there to take it up. After all there is no counter news today to justify the fall. Tomorrow is another day.

Transcorp will definitely rise tomorrow for sure. I only wonder from what price? I am thinking 1.14
Then what type of trajectory... I am thinking of a FUGAZ type bull no longer the Ftncocoa/Neimeth type it just performed.
