currentprice: Lol.... the sign was there before yesterday na..... it all over the chart but pple call it lagging
27000 support now turn resistance
Considering "the chart" while using UBA as an example, there is a constant that has been reoccurring since October. The coronavirus made its first appearance in the news in December during a bear yet the market paid no mindfulness and produced a bull in most of January. So similarly the only thing that has been playing out (until a few days ago culminating today) has been the normal unfolding of this constant. By next week we should know if the constant will remain making this simply a factoring-in of the coronavirus' impact on the economy, Or.... |

Yesterday's news of Nigeria's first case of Coronavirus is what has triggered the negative response in the market today. It's a shame we in this forum did not explore how such a senerio - Nigeria's first case - would affect the market. We are too reactive in this forum. In any case considering other exigent situations leading to reduced prices we should contemplate hedging. |

Plumville: Culprits have not been apprehended yet and all the details even police strategy to track suspects down with phone are being spilled here. Nigerian police and their quest for unearned accolades! I am not sure it is "accolades" they seek. This looks like a setup to tie in some yahoo boys for the sins of someone else. |

Marlianvestor: In this market, you see whatever you want to see and ultimately get what you see... Just law of attraction in action! Whilst some see green, some see red or blue... Just make sure that you are validating whatever your are seeing. For traders esp, as long as you parameterise your trading re. entry and exit, incl loss policy whilst ensuring you stay on the side of probabilities always, you are more likely to succeed... onegentleguy: Yes, I believe its a shakeout !! With FO, TECHNICALS is still very much intact !! Current price(day low) of N32 is still well above all key moving averages... including the pivotal 200 sma(@ N29.48). The interpretation of this is that the expected PE investor(long term in view) who would supposedly buy up the 75% equity stake is 'still very much around and kicking' !!
This is clearly profit taking at work. I expect price to continue the uptrend in due course. When? ...I do not know. ...the market dynamics shall determine that.
CAVEAT: Just a feedback. ...not a recommendation !!
Cheers. 75% equity stake in the downstream operations and... “There will be no sale of the ordinary shares or any other securities in any state or jurisdiction in which such an offer solicitation or sale is not permitted,” |

sillysassysally: I don't do stock picks but for the rest of 2018 and the pre-election period, I'd say FO because in light of the recent news of Femi Otedola selling his shares, I think there's going to be a cross deal at a price above N40. This is just 75% of Downstream or is it 75% of the entire group? |

I have this belief because Wapco has a humongous revenue stream and right now they are just trying to shake away weak retail investors And you are truly going to hold for 4 years?? |
